< Psalms 130 >

1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. Lord, I cry out to you from the depths of my pain.
Ɔsorokorɔ dwom. Ao Awurade, mefiri ebunu mu resu frɛ wo;
2 Please listen to my cry, and pay attention to what I'm asking.
Ao Awurade tie me nne. Wɛn wʼaso ma me nkotosrɛ.
3 Lord, if you kept a list of sins, who could escape being condemned?
Ao Awurade, sɛ wobu yɛn bɔne ho nkonta a, anka hwan na ɔbɛtumi agyina ano?
4 But you are forgiving so that we might respect you.
Nanso, wowɔ bɔnefakyɛ; ɛno enti wɔsuro wo.
5 I'm waiting for the Lord, longingly waiting, for I trust in his word.
Metwɛn Awurade, me kra twɛn, na nʼasɛm mu na mede mʼanidasoɔ ahyɛ.
6 I long for the Lord to come, more than watchmen longing for the dawn to come, more than watchmen longing for the dawn to come.
Me kra twɛne Awurade sene sɛdeɛ awɛmfoɔ twɛne adekyeɛ, sene sɛdeɛ awɛmfoɔ twene adekyeɛ.
7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for the Lord loves us with a trustworthy love and his salvation knows no limits.
Ao Israel, ma wʼani nna Awurade so, ɛfiri sɛ Awurade wɔ adɔeɛ a ɛwɔ hɔ daa na ɔgyeɛ amapa wɔ ne mu.
8 He will save Israel from every sin.
Ɔno ankasa bɛgye Israel afiri wɔn bɔne nyinaa mu.
