< Psalms 130 >
1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. Lord, I cry out to you from the depths of my pain.
Thaburi ya Agendi Wee Jehova-rĩ, ndĩragũkaĩra ndĩ o kũrĩa kũriku;
2 Please listen to my cry, and pay attention to what I'm asking.
Wee Jehova, igua mũgambo wakwa. Matũ maku nĩmaigue ngĩgũkaĩra ũnjiguĩre tha.
3 Lord, if you kept a list of sins, who could escape being condemned?
Wee Jehova, korwo no ũtare maita marĩa tũkwĩhagĩria-rĩ, nũũ ũngĩgwĩtiiria, Wee Jehova?
4 But you are forgiving so that we might respect you.
No rĩrĩ, Wee nĩũrekanagĩra; nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩwĩtigĩrĩtwo.
5 I'm waiting for the Lord, longingly waiting, for I trust in his word.
Njetagĩrĩra Jehova, ngoro yakwa nĩĩmwetereire, niĩ ndĩĩhokaga kiugo gĩake.
6 I long for the Lord to come, more than watchmen longing for the dawn to come, more than watchmen longing for the dawn to come.
Ngoro yakwa yetagĩrĩra Jehova, gũkĩra ũrĩa arangĩri metagĩrĩra rũciinĩ gũkĩe, ĩĩ-ni, gũkĩra ũrĩa arangĩri metagĩrĩra rũciinĩ gũkĩe.
7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for the Lord loves us with a trustworthy love and his salvation knows no limits.
Wee Isiraeli, wĩhokage Jehova, nĩgũkorwo harĩ Jehova he wendo ũrĩa ũtathiraga, na ningĩ harĩ we harĩ na ũhonokio kũna.
8 He will save Israel from every sin.
We mwene nĩagakũũra Isiraeli kuuma mehia-inĩ mao mothe.
