Psalms 122

1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. I was so happy when they said to me, “Let's go the house of the Lord.”

௧தாவீதின் ஆரோகண பாடல். யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குப் போவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று என் நண்பர்கள் எனக்கு அவர்கள் சொன்னபோது மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தேன்.

2 Now we're standing inside your gates, Jerusalem!

௨எருசலேமே, உன்னுடைய வாசல்களில் எங்களுடைய கால்கள் நிற்கிறது.

3 Jerusalem is built as a city where people can be together.

௩எருசலேம் கச்சிதமான நகரமாகக் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

4 All the tribes—the tribes of the Lord—go up there, following the command given to Israel to give thanks to the Lord.

௪அங்கே இஸ்ரவேலுக்குச் சாட்சியாகக் யெகோவாவுடைய மக்களாகிய கோத்திரங்கள் யெகோவாவின் பெயரைப் போற்றுவதற்குப் போகும்.

5 This is where the thrones are placed, where judgment is given, the thrones of the house of David.

௫அங்கே தாவீதின் வீட்டாருடைய சிங்காசனங்களாகிய நியாயாசனங்கள் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

6 Pray that Jerusalem may be at peace. May everyone who loves Jerusalem be kept safe.

௬எருசலேமின் சமாதானத்திற்காக வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; உன்னை நேசிக்கிறவர்கள் செழித்திருக்கட்டும்.

7 May there be peace within your walls, and safety within your fortresses.

௭உன்னுடைய மதில்களுக்குள்ளே சமாதானமும், உன்னுடைய அரண்மனைகளுக்குள்ளே செழிப்பும் இருக்கும்.

8 On behalf of my family and friends, I will now say, “May you be at peace.”

௮என்னுடைய சகோதரர்களுக்காகவும் என்னுடைய நண்பர்களுக்காகவும், உன்னில் சமாதானம் இருக்கட்டும் என்பேன்.

9 On behalf of the house of the Lord our God, I pray that everything goes well for you.

௯எங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்காக உனக்கு நன்மையுண்டாகத் தேடுவேன்.
