< Psalms 122 >
1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. I was so happy when they said to me, “Let's go the house of the Lord.”
Abụ nrigo, nke Devid. Aṅụrịrị m ọṅụ mgbe ha sị m, “Ka anyị gaa nʼụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị.”
2 Now we're standing inside your gates, Jerusalem!
Ụkwụ anyị eguzola ugbu a nʼọnụ ụzọ ama gị niile, gị obodo Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is built as a city where people can be together.
E wuru Jerusalem dịka obodo a chịkọtara ọnụ nke ọma.
4 All the tribes—the tribes of the Lord—go up there, following the command given to Israel to give thanks to the Lord.
Ọ bụ ebe ahụ ka ebo niile na-arịgo, bụ ebo niile nke Onyenwe anyị, ịbụku aha Onyenwe anyị abụ dịka iwu o nyere ndị Izrel si dị.
5 This is where the thrones are placed, where judgment is given, the thrones of the house of David.
Nʼebe ahụ ka ocheeze niile nke ikpe ikpe dị, bụ ocheeze niile nke ezinaụlọ Devid.
6 Pray that Jerusalem may be at peace. May everyone who loves Jerusalem be kept safe.
Kpeenụ ekpere maka udo Jerusalem: “Ka ndị niile hụrụ gị nʼanya nọọ nʼudo.
7 May there be peace within your walls, and safety within your fortresses.
Ka udo dịrị nʼime mgbidi gị niile nchekwa dịrịkwa nʼime ebe nche gị niile e wusiri ike.”
8 On behalf of my family and friends, I will now say, “May you be at peace.”
Nʼihi ụmụnne m na ndị enyi m, ana m ekwu okwu sị, “Udo dịrị gị.”
9 On behalf of the house of the Lord our God, I pray that everything goes well for you.
Nʼihi ụlọ Onyenwe anyị, Chineke anyị, aga m achọ ọganihu gị.
