< Psalms 122 >
1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. I was so happy when they said to me, “Let's go the house of the Lord.”
Kathutkung: Devit BAWIPA e im dawk cet awh sei telah, kai koe ati awh navah, ka lunghawi.
2 Now we're standing inside your gates, Jerusalem!
Oe Jerusalem, kaimae khok teh, nange takhang thungvah a kangdue han.
3 Jerusalem is built as a city where people can be together.
Jerusalem teh kacakpounglah sak e lah ao.
4 All the tribes—the tribes of the Lord—go up there, following the command given to Israel to give thanks to the Lord.
BAWIPA e miphunnaw teh hote kho dawk a cei awh katang. Isarelnaw e phung patetlah BAWIPA e a miphunnaw teh BAWIPA min pholen hanelah, BAWIPA min pholen nahanelah a ceitakhang awh.
5 This is where the thrones are placed, where judgment is given, the thrones of the house of David.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, hote hmuen koevah, bawitungkhungnaw, Devit imthung bawitungkhungnaw lawkceng nahanelah a hruek awh.
6 Pray that Jerusalem may be at peace. May everyone who loves Jerusalem be kept safe.
Jerusalem a roum nahanlah ratoum awh. Nang lungpataw naw teh a hmacawn awh naseh.
7 May there be peace within your walls, and safety within your fortresses.
Nange rapannaw roumnae awmseh. Na impui hawinae coe awh naseh.
8 On behalf of my family and friends, I will now say, “May you be at peace.”
Ka hmaunawngha han hoi ka huikonaw hanelah, nang dawk roumnae awm seh telah ka dei han.
9 On behalf of the house of the Lord our God, I pray that everything goes well for you.
Maimae BAWIPA Cathut im hane dawkvah, nange hawinae hah ka tawng han.
