< Psalms 122 >

1 A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. I was so happy when they said to me, “Let's go the house of the Lord.”
Bawipa a im na cet u sih,” tinawh amik kqawn law awh zeel soeih nyng.
2 Now we're standing inside your gates, Jerusalem!
Aw Jerusalem, kaimih a khaw khqi ve vawng chawmkeng awh dyi hawh uhy.
3 Jerusalem is built as a city where people can be together.
Jerusalem taw khawk bau ak zoei cana ami sak amyihna sak na awm hy.
4 All the tribes—the tribes of the Lord—go up there, following the command given to Israel to give thanks to the Lord.
Israel a venawh cuk kiknaak awipeek peek na a awm amyihna, Bawipang ming kyihcah ham, cawh ce thlang pilnamkhqi, Bawipa a pilnam khqi hang cet uhy.
5 This is where the thrones are placed, where judgment is given, the thrones of the house of David.
Cawh ce awidengnaak boei ngawihdoelh khqi, David ipkhui awhkaw boei ngawihdoelh khqi awm hy.
6 Pray that Jerusalem may be at peace. May everyone who loves Jerusalem be kept safe.
Jerusalem ngaihqepnaak aham cykcah lah uh: “Nang anik lungnaak thlangkhqi ce qalmawng na awm u seh.
7 May there be peace within your walls, and safety within your fortresses.
Na vawng khuiawh ngaihqepnaak awm seitaw, na boei awmnaak im kqang ngaihqepnaak awm seh.”
8 On behalf of my family and friends, I will now say, “May you be at peace.”
Ka koeinaa ingkaw pyikhqi awh, “Nang ak khuiawh ngaihqepnaak awm seh,” ti kawng nyng.
9 On behalf of the house of the Lord our God, I pray that everything goes well for you.
Bawipa ningnih Khawsa im awh, nang a boeimangnaak ce sui kawng nyng.
