Psalms 115
1 Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to you all glory should be given, because of your trustworthy love and faithfulness.
Nie nam, Panie! nie nam, ale imieniowi twemu daj chwałę dla miłosierdzia twego, i dla prawdy twojej.
2 Why should the heathen nations ask, “Where is your God?”
Czemuż mają mówić poganie: Gdzież teraz jest Bóg ich?
3 Our God is in heaven, and he does whatever he wants.
Wszakże Bóg nasz jest na niebie, czyniąc wszystko, co mu się podoba.
4 Their idols are just things of silver and gold made by human hands.
Ale bałwany ich są srebro i złoto, robota rąk ludzkich.
5 They have mouths, but can't speak. They have eyes, but can't see.
Usta mają, a nie mówią; oczy mają, a nie widzą.
6 They have ears, but can't hear. They have noses, but can't smell.
Uszy mają, a nie słyszą; nozdrze mają, a nie wonieją.
7 They have hands, but can't feel. They have feet, but can't walk. No sound comes from their throats.
Ręce mają, a nie macają; nogi mają, a nie chodzą, ani wołają gardłem swojem.
8 Those who make idols become just like them, and so does everyone who trusts in them.
Niech im podobni będą, którzy je czynią, i wszyscy, którzy w nich ufają.
9 Israel, trust in the Lord! He is the one who helps you and protects you.
Izraelu! ufaj w Panu; bo on jest pomocnikiem ich i tarczą ich.
10 Descendants of Aaron, trust in the Lord! He is the one who helps you and protects you.
Domie Aaronowy! ufajcie w Panu; on jest pomocnikiem, i tarczą ich.
11 Those who honor the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is the one who helps you and protects you.
Którzy się boicie Pana, ufajcie w Panu; on jest pomocnikiem i tarczą ich.
12 The Lord keeps us in mind and will be good to us. He will bless Israel, he will bless the descendants of Aaron.
Pan będzie pamiętał na nas, będzie błogosławił; będzie błogosławił domowi Izraelskiemu, będzie błogosławił domowi Aaronowemu.
13 The Lord will bless all those who worship him, whoever they are.
