< Psalms 112 >
1 Praise the Lord! Happy are those who respect the Lord, who love to do what he says!
Mou fakamālō kia Sihova. ʻOku monūʻia ʻae tangata ʻoku ne manavahē kia Sihova, mo ne fiefia lahi ʻi heʻene ngaahi fekau.
2 Their descendants will prosper in the land; the children of those who do good will be blessed.
ʻE mālohi hono hako ʻi māmani: ko e toʻutangata ʻoe angatonu tenau monūʻia.
3 Their families will be wealthy; the good they do has eternal results.
ʻE ʻi hono fale ʻae koloa mo e nāunau: pea ʻoku tolonga ʻo taʻengata ʻa ʻene angatonu.
4 Light shines in the darkness for those who live right, for those who are gracious, compassionate, and good.
ʻOku tupu ʻae maama ki he angatonu ʻi he poʻuli: ʻoku angaʻofa ia, pea fonu ʻi he manavaʻofa, pea māʻoniʻoni.
5 Good things come to those who are generous in their lending and are honest in doing business.
ʻOku fakahā ʻe he tangata angalelei ʻae ʻofa, pea ʻoku faʻa ʻatu: te ne pule ki heʻene meʻa ʻi he poto.
6 They will never fall. Those who live right won't be forgotten.
Ko e moʻoni ʻe ʻikai ueʻi ia ʻo lauikuonga: ʻe taʻengata ʻae fakamanatu ki he kakai māʻoniʻoni.
7 They aren't afraid of bad news because they rely totally on the Lord.
ʻE ʻikai te ne manavahē ki he ongoongo kovi: kuo maʻu hono loto ʻi he falala kia Sihova.
8 They are confident and brave, and see their enemies defeated.
Kuo fokotuʻumaʻu ʻa hono loto: ʻe ʻikai te ne manavahē, ka ʻe mamata ia ki hono ngaahi fili.
9 They share generously, giving to the poor; the good they do has eternal results. They are greatly respected.
Kuo tufa ʻe ia, kuo ne foaki ki he masiva; ʻoku tolonga ʻo taʻengata ʻa ʻene angatonu; ʻe hiki hake hono nifo ʻi he ongolelei.
10 The wicked observe all this and are mad; they gnash their teeth in anger. They waste away, and all that they hoped for comes to nothing.
ʻE mamata ki ai ʻae angahala, pea tenau mamahi: ʻe fengaiʻitaki hono nifo, pea ʻe mole atu ia: ʻe ʻauha ʻae holi ʻae angahala.
