< Psalms 106 >

1 Praise the Lord! Thank the Lord, for he is good! His trustworthy love lasts forever.
Yin Olúwa! Ẹ fi ìyìn fún Olúwa, nítorí tí ó ṣeun. Ẹ fi ọpẹ́ fún Olúwa nítorí tí ó ṣeun, nítorí tí ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ dúró láéláé.
2 Who can give an account of all the wonderful things the Lord has done? Who can give him all the praise he is due?
Ta ni ó lè ròyìn iṣẹ́ agbára Olúwa, ta ní lè sọ nípa ìyìn rẹ̀?
3 Happy are those who treat people fairly, who always do what is right.
Ìbùkún ni fún àwọn tí ń pa ìdájọ́ mọ́? Ẹni tí n ṣe ohun tí ó tọ́.
4 Please remember me when you are generous to your people; think of me when you come to save.
Rántí mi, Olúwa, nígbà tí o bá fi ojúrere rẹ hàn, wá sí ìhà mi nígbà tí ìwọ bá gbà wọ́n,
5 Let me see your chosen people prosperous; let me be happy together with your nation; let me share in being proud of you with those who belong to you.
kí èmi kí ó lè jẹ ìgbádùn àlàáfíà àwọn tí ìwọ ti yàn, kí èmi kí ó sì darapọ̀ mọ́ àwọn ènìyàn, ìní rẹ láti jọ yìn ọ́ lógo.
6 We have sinned just like our forefathers. We have done wrong. We are guilty.
Àwa ti dẹ́ṣẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn baba wa ti ṣe, àwa ti ṣe ohun tí kò dá a, a sì ti hùwà búburú.
7 They didn't pay attention to the wonderful things you did. They didn't keep in mind how much you loved them, but chose to rebel at the sea, the Red Sea.
Nígbà tí àwọn baba wa wà ní Ejibiti, iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ kò yé wọn, wọn kò rántí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àánú rẹ, gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọ́n ṣe ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọ níbi Òkun, àní níbi Òkun Pupa.
8 Even so he saved them because of the kind of person he is, and to show his power
Ṣùgbọ́n o gbà wọ́n là nítorí orúkọ rẹ láti jẹ́ kí agbára ńlá rẹ di mí mọ̀.
9 He gave his order to the Red Sea, and it dried up. He led his people across the seabed as if it were a desert.
O bá Òkun Pupa wí, ó sì gbẹ; o sì mú wọn la ìbú já bí aginjù.
10 He rescued them from those who hated them; he saved them from their enemies' power.
O gbà wọ́n là kúrò lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá wọn, láti ọwọ́ ọ̀tá ni o ti gbà wọ́n.
11 The water drowned their enemies—none of them survived,
Omi ya lu àwọn ọ̀tá wọn; bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sí èyí tí ó yè nínú wọn.
12 Then his people trusted in what he promised, and sang his praises.
Nígbà náà wọn gba ìpinnu rẹ gbọ́ wọ́n sì kọrin ìyìn rẹ.
13 But they quickly forgot what he had done for them, and they didn't listen to his advice.
Ṣùgbọ́n wọn kò pẹ́ gbàgbé ohun tí o ṣe wọn kò sí dúró gba ìmọ̀ràn rẹ.
14 They were filled with desperate cravings in the wilderness; they provoked God in the desert.
Nínú aginjù ni wọ́n tí ṣe ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́, nínú aṣálẹ̀, wọ́n dán Ọlọ́run wò.
15 He gave them what they wanted, but sent them a plague as well.
Nígbà náà, ó fún wọn ní ohun tí wọ́n béèrè fún ṣùgbọ́n ó rán àìsàn búburú sí wọn.
16 In the camp the people became jealous of Moses, and of Aaron, the Lord's holy priest.
Nínú ibùdó ni wọ́n ṣe ìlara Mose pẹ̀lú Aaroni, ẹni tí ó jẹ́ mímọ́ sí Olúwa.
17 The earth split open and swallowed up Dathan; it buried Abiram and his followers.
Ilẹ̀ la ẹnu ó sì gbé Datani mì ó bo ẹgbẹ́ Abiramu mọ́lẹ̀.
18 Fire broke out among them—a flame that burned them up.
Ọwọ́ iná yọ ní ẹgbẹ́ àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀; iná jo àwọn ènìyàn búburú.
19 At Mount Sinai they made a calf, they bowed down before a metal idol.
Ní Horebu wọ́n ṣe ẹgbọrọ màlúù wọ́n sì sin òrìṣà tí a ṣe láti ara irin.
20 They replaced their God of glory with a bull that eats grass!
Wọ́n pa ògo wọn dà sí àwòrán màlúù, tí ń jẹ koríko.
21 They forgot God, their Savior, who had done marvelous things in Egypt;
Wọ́n gbàgbé Ọlọ́run, ẹni tí ó gbà wọ́n ẹni tí ó ti ṣe ohun ńlá ní Ejibiti,
22 performing miracles in the land of Ham, doing amazing things at the Red Sea.
iṣẹ́ ìyanu ní ilẹ̀ Hamu àti ohun ẹ̀rù ni ẹ̀bá Òkun Pupa.
23 So he said he was going to destroy them But Moses, his chosen leader, placed himself between the Lord and the people to persuade the Lord not to destroy them in his anger.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, ó sọ wí pé, òun yóò pa wọ́n run bí kò bá ṣe ti Mose, tí ó yàn, tí ó dúró níwájú ẹ̀yà náà tí ó pa ìbínú rẹ̀ mọ́ láti má pa wọ́n run mọ́.
24 Later the people refused to enter the Promised Land; they didn't trust him to do as he'd promised.
Nígbà náà, wọ́n kẹ́gàn ilẹ̀ dídára náà wọn kò gba ìlérí rẹ̀ gbọ́.
25 They complained in their tents about the Lord, and refused to obey what he told them.
Wọ́n ń kùn nínú àgọ́ wọn wọn kò sì gbọ́rọ̀ sí Olúwa.
26 So he raised his hand to give them a serious warning that he would bring them down in the wilderness,
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó búra fún wọn nípa gbígbé ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sókè kí òun lè jẹ́ kí wọn ṣubú nínú aginjù,
27 that he would disperse their descendants among the heathen nations, scattering them among countries far away.
láti jẹ́ kí àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ṣubú lára orílẹ̀-èdè láti fọ́n wọn káàkiri lórí ilẹ̀.
28 They gave their allegiance to Baal Peor, and ate food sacrificed to the dead.
Wọ́n da ara wọn pọ̀ mọ́ Baali-Peori, wọ́n sì ń jẹ ẹbọ tí a rú sí àwọn òkú òrìṣà,
29 They provoked the Lord by what they did, making him angry, so a plague broke out among them.
wọ́n mú Ọlọ́run bínú pẹ̀lú ohun búburú tí wọn ń ṣe àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn jáde láàrín wọn.
30 But Phinehas took a stand for the Lord and intervened, and the plague was stopped in its tracks.
Ṣùgbọ́n Finehasi dìde láti dá sí i, àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn náà sì dáwọ́ dúró lọ́gán.
31 He has been considered as a man who lived right from that time on and for all generations.
A sì ka èyí sí òdodo fún un àti fún àwọn ìrandíran tí ń bọ̀
32 They also angered him at the waters of Meribah where things went badly for Moses because of them.
Níbi omi Meriba, wọ́n bí Ọlọ́run nínú, ohun búburú wá sí orí Mose nítorí wọn.
33 They upset him so much that he spoke without thinking in the heat of the moment.
Nítorí tí wọ́n ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí Ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run. Ọ̀rọ̀ àìdára sì ti ẹnu Mose wá.
34 They did not destroy the heathen peoples as the Lord had told them to do,
Wọn kò pa àwọn ènìyàn run gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti sọ fún wọn,
35 but instead they joined in with them and adopted their way of life.
Ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n dàpọ̀ mọ́ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, wọ́n sì gbà láti ṣe bí àṣà wọn.
36 They worshiped their pagan idols which became a trap for them.
Wọ́n sì sin àwọn òrìṣà wọn tí ó di ìkẹ́kùn fún wọn.
37 The even sacrificed their sons and daughters to these demons.
Wọ́n fi àwọn ọmọkùnrin wọn rú ẹbọ àti àwọn ọmọbìnrin fún òrìṣà.
38 They shed the blood of innocent children, their sons and daughters, sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan. By doing so they defiled the land with blood.
Wọ́n ta ẹ̀jẹ̀ aláìṣẹ̀ sílẹ̀, ẹ̀jẹ̀ àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti àwọn ọmọbìnrin wọ. Wọ́n fi wọ́n rú ẹbọ sí ère Kenaani, ilẹ̀ náà sì di àìmọ́ fún ẹ̀jẹ̀.
39 The also defiled themselves by what they did: their actions were spiritual adultery.
Wọ́n sì fi ìṣe wọn sọ ara wọn di aláìmọ́, wọ́n sì ṣe àgbèrè lọ pẹ̀lú iṣẹ́ wọn.
40 So the Lord was angry with his people—he loathed those who belonged to him.
Nígbà náà ni Olúwa bínú sí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ ó sì kórìíra àwọn ènìyàn ìní rẹ̀
41 He handed them over to the heathen nations. These people who hated them now became their rulers.
Ó sì fà wọ́n lé àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè lọ́wọ́, àwọn ọ̀tá wọn sì jẹ ọba lórí wọn.
42 Their enemies dominated and subdued them with their power.
Àwọn ọ̀tá wọn sì ń pọ́n wọn lójú wọn sì mú wọn sìn lábẹ́ àṣẹ wọn.
43 The Lord repeatedly rescued them, but they continued with their rebellious ideas, until they were finally destroyed by their own sins.
Ní ọ̀pọ̀ ìgbà òun gbà wọ́n, síbẹ̀ wọ́n sì ń ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí i wọ́n sì ṣòfò dànù nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn.
44 Despite all this, the Lord was moved by their suffering; he heard their sad cries.
Ṣùgbọ́n ó kíyèsi wọn nítorí ìṣòro nígbà tí ó gbọ́ ẹkún wọn,
45 He remembered the agreement he had made with them, and he held back because of his great kindness and love.
ó rántí májẹ̀mú rẹ̀ nítorí wọn Nítorí agbára ìfẹ́ rẹ̀, ó ṣàánú wọn.
46 He made the people who captured them treat them with mercy.
Lójú gbogbo àwọn tí ó kó wọn ní ìgbèkùn ó mú wọn rí àánú.
47 Save us, Lord, our God! Bring us back together from among the nations, so we can thank you and declare how magnificent and holy you are.
Gbà wá, Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa, kí o sì ṣà wá jọ kúrò láàrín àwọn kèfèrí, láti máa fi ọpẹ́ fún orúkọ mímọ́ rẹ láti máa ṣògo nínú ìyìn rẹ.
48 How wonderful is the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives forever and ever! Let all the people say “Amen”! Praise the Lord!
Olùbùkún ni Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli, láti ìrandíran. Jẹ́ kí gbogbo ènìyàn kí ó wí pé, “Àmín!” Ẹ fi ìyìn fún Olúwa!
