< Psalms 102 >
1 A prayer from someone who is suffering and is tired out, pouring out their troubles to the Lord. Lord please hear my prayer, my cry for help!
Aberanteɛ mmɔborɔni mpaeɛbɔ. Ɛberɛ a ne home te no na ɔka nʼahometesɛm kyerɛ Awurade. Ao Awurade tie me mpaeɛbɔ; na ma me mmoa ho sufrɛ nnuru wʼanim.
2 Don't hide your face from me in my time of trouble! Turn and listen to me, and answer me quickly when I call.
Mfa wʼanim nhinta me ɛberɛ a mewɔ ahohiahia mu. Brɛ wʼaso ase ma me; na sɛ mesu mefrɛ wo a, gye me so ntɛm.
3 My life is disappearing like smoke; my body feels like it's on fire!
Me nkwa nna reyera te sɛ wisie; me nnompe hyehye te sɛ egya.
4 I'm like grass that's dried up, withered away—I even forget to eat!
Mʼakoma aboto na akusa sɛ ɛserɛ; na me kɔn nnɔ aduane.
5 All my groaning has worn me out; my bones show through my skin.
Mʼapinisie denden enti maka honam ne nnompe.
6 I'm like a desert owl, like a little owl among the ruins.
Mete sɛ ɛserɛ so patuo, te sɛ ɔpatuo a ɔte mmubuiɛ mu.
7 I can't sleep. I'm like a lonely bird on a rooftop.
Meda hɔ a, mʼani gu so; mayɛ sɛ anomaa bi a ɔno nko ara si ɛdan atifi.
8 My enemies taunt me all day long. They mock me and swear at me.
Ɛda mu nyinaa mʼatamfoɔ bɔ me akutia. Wɔn a wɔdi me ho fɛ no bɔ me din de dome.
9 Ashes are the food I eat; my tears drip into my drink,
Mede nsõ ayɛ mʼaduane na mede nisuo fra me nsuo mu
10 because of your anger and hostility, for you have picked me up and tossed me away.
ɛsiane wʼabufuhyeɛ denden no enti, woama me so, ayi me asi nkyɛn.
11 My life is fading away like a shadow that lengthens—I'm withering away like grass.
Me nkwa nna te sɛ anwummerɛ sunsum; na mekusa sɛ ɛserɛ.
12 But you, Lord, reign forever, your fame will last for all generations.
Nanso, wo Awurade, woyɛ ɔhene daa daa; na wo din a ahyeta no te hɔ daa awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ nyinaa mu.
13 You will take action and have pity on Jerusalem, for it's time to be kind to the city, the time has come.
Wobɛsɔre na woahunu Sion mmɔbɔ; berɛ aduru sɛ wohunu no mmɔbɔ; ɛberɛ a wohyɛeɛ no aso.
14 For the people who follow you love its stones; they value even its dust!
Nʼaboɔ som bo ma wʼasomfoɔ; ne mfuturo hyɛ wɔn awerɛhoɔ.
15 Then the nations will be in awe of who you are, Lord; all the kings of the earth will be in awe of your glory.
Amanaman no bɛsuro Awurade din; asase so ahemfo nyinaa bɛdi wʼanimuonyam ni.
16 For the Lord will rebuild Jerusalem; he will appear in glory.
Awurade bɛkyekyere Sion bio, na wapue wɔ nʼanimuonyam mu.
17 He will pay attention to the prayers of the homeless; he will not disregard their requests.
Ɔbɛtie mmɔborɔfoɔ mpaeɛbɔ; na ɔremmu nʼani ngu wɔn sufrɛ so.
18 Let this be recorded for generations to come, so that people yet to be born may praise the Lord:
Montwerɛ yei mma nkyirimma, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn a wɔnnya nwoo wɔn bɛkamfo Awurade;
19 The Lord looked down from above, from the heights of his holy place; he looked down from heaven to the earth,
“Awurade hwɛɛ fam firi ne kronkronbea wɔ soro hɔ; ɔfiri soro hwɛɛ asase,
20 to respond to the groans of prisoners, to set free the children of death.
sɛdeɛ ɔbɛte nneduafoɔ apinisie na wagyaa wɔn a wɔabu wɔn kumfɔ no.”
21 As a result the wonderful nature of the Lord will be celebrated with praise in Jerusalem,
Enti, wɔbɛpae mu abɔ Awurade din wɔ Sion na wɔakamfo no wɔ Yerusalem,
22 when the people of many kingdoms gather together to worship the Lord.
ɛberɛ a amanaman ne ahennie ahodoɔ bɛhyiam na wɔasom Awurade.
23 But as for me, he broke my health while I was still young, cutting my life short.
Ɔmaa me yɛɛ mmerɛ wɔ ɛberɛ a merenyini. Ɔtwaa me nkwa nna so.
24 I cried out, “My God, don't take my life while I'm young! You are the one who lives forever.
Enti mekaa sɛ, “Ao me Onyankopɔn, mfa me nkɔ, wɔ me nkwa nna mfimfini; wo mfeɛ wɔ hɔ daa kɔduru awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ nyinaa mu.
25 Long ago you created the earth; you made the heavens.
Ahyɛaseɛ no, wotoo asase fapem, na ɔsoro yɛ wo nsa ano adwuma.
26 They will come to an end, but you will not. They will all wear out, like clothes—you will change them, and throw them away.
Ne nyinaa bɛtwam, na wo deɛ, wobɛtena hɔ daa; wɔbɛtete te sɛ atadeɛ. Wobɛsesa wɔn te sɛ ntoma na wɔbɛto wɔn agu.
27 But you are the one who always is; your years never come to an end.
Nanso, wote sɛdeɛ woteɛ, na wo mfeɛ to rentwa da.
28 Our children will live with you, and our children's children will grow in your presence.”
Wʼasomfoɔ mma bɛtena nkwa mu wɔ wʼanim; na wɔn asefoɔ ase bɛtim wɔ wʼanim.”
