< Psalms 1 >

1 Happy are those who don't follow the advice of the wicked. They refuse to adopt the ways of sinful people, and they don't make fun of others.
MEID pai ol o, me sota alialu ni padak en me doo sang Kot akan, o me so duki ong me dipan akan, o me so mondi ren me malaun akan,
2 Instead they love to do what the law of the Lord says, and they think about it day and night.
A me kin peren kida kapung en Ieowa o madamadaua duen a kapung ni ran o ni pong!
3 They're like trees growing by flowing rivers, producing fruit every season. Their leaves never wither, and they are successful in all they do.
A rasong tuka pot, me padedier ni kailan pilap akan, me kin kapareda wa ni a ansau, o ta kan sota kin mongala, a karos a wiawia pwaida.
4 But it's not like that for the wicked! They are like chaff, blown away by the wind.
Me doo sang Kot akan sota kin dueta, a re rasong dip me ang kin iririp sili.
5 For this reason the wicked will not survive the judgment—sinners have no place among those who live right.
I me doo sang Kot akan sota pan pwai kida nan kadeik, o me dipan akan nan momod en me pung kan.
6 For the Lord watches over those who follow the right way, but the way of the wicked leads to death.
Pwe Ieowa kotin mangi al en me pung kan; a al en ir, me doo sang Kot akan, pan soredi.
