< Psalms 1 >
1 Happy are those who don't follow the advice of the wicked. They refuse to adopt the ways of sinful people, and they don't make fun of others.
Woayra ame si mezɔna ɖe ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe aɖaŋuɖoɖo nu alo nɔa tsitre ɖe nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo ƒe mɔ dzi loo alo nɔa anyi ɖe fewuɖulawo dome o,
2 Instead they love to do what the law of the Lord says, and they think about it day and night.
ke boŋ ekpɔa dzidzɔ le Yehowa ƒe se la ŋu, eye wòdea ŋugble le eŋu zã kple keli.
3 They're like trees growing by flowing rivers, producing fruit every season. Their leaves never wither, and they are successful in all they do.
Eya amea ɖi ati si wodo ɖe tɔʋuwo to, esi tsea ku le etseɣi, melũa xe o, eye nu sia nu si wòwɔna la, edzea edzi nyuie.
4 But it's not like that for the wicked! They are like chaff, blown away by the wind.
Mele alea na ame vɔ̃ɖi ya o! Wole abe blitsro si ya ƒona dzonae la ene.
5 For this reason the wicked will not survive the judgment—sinners have no place among those who live right.
Eya ta ame vɔ̃ɖi manɔ te le ʋɔnudrɔ̃gbe, alo nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo nanɔ ame dzɔdzɔewo ƒe ha me o.
6 For the Lord watches over those who follow the right way, but the way of the wicked leads to death.
Elabena Yehowa kpɔa ame dzɔdzɔewo ƒe mɔ ta, ke ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe mɔ atsrɔ̃ gbidii.
