Proverbs 5
1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom, listen carefully as I explain what makes sense,
௧என் மகனே, என்னுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கவனித்து, என்னுடைய புத்திக்கு உன்னுடைய செவியைச் சாய்;
2 so you can make good decisions and protect knowledge with your lips.
௨அப்பொழுது நீ விவேகத்தைப் பேணிக்கொள்வாய், உன்னுடைய உதடுகள் அறிவைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளும்.
3 For the lips of an immoral woman may taste as sweet as honey, the kisses of her mouth may be as smooth as oil,
௩ஒழுங்கீனமானவளின் உதடுகள் தேன்கூடுபோல் ஒழுகும்; அவளுடைய வாய் எண்ணெயைவிட மிருதுவாக இருக்கும்.
4 but in the end what you get from her is the bitterness of wormwood and the sharp pain of being cut with a two-edged sword.
௪அவளுடைய செயல்களின் முடிவோ எட்டியைப்போலக் கசப்பும், இருபுறமும் கூர்மையுள்ள பட்டயம்போல் கூர்மையுமாக இருக்கும்.
௫அவளுடைய காலடிகள் மரணத்திற்கு இறங்கும்; அவளுடைய நடைகள் பாதாளத்தைப் பற்றிப்போகும். (Sheol h7585)
6 She doesn't follow the path that leads to life—she wanders away and doesn't even know she's lost.
௬நீ வாழ்வின் வழியைச் சிந்தித்துக்கொள்ளாதபடி, அவளுடைய நடைகள் மாறிமாறி அலையும்; அவைகளை அறியமுடியாது.
7 Now, my son, listen to me; don't reject what I have taught you.
௭ஆதலால் பிள்ளைகளே; இப்பொழுது எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; என்னுடைய வாயின் வசனங்களைவிட்டு நீங்காமல் இருங்கள்.
8 Stay far away from her! Don't go near the door of her house!
௮உன்னுடைய வழியை அவளுக்குத் தூரப்படுத்து; அவளுடைய வீட்டின் வாசலுக்கு அருகில் சேராதே.
9 Otherwise you'll surrender your honor to others, and your character to cruel people.
௯சேர்ந்தால் உன்னுடைய மேன்மையை அந்நியர்களுக்கும், உன்னுடைய ஆயுளின் காலத்தைக் கொடூரமானவர்களுக்கும் கொடுத்துவிடுவாய்.
10 Strangers will spend your wealth; everything you've worked for will go to someone else.
௧0அந்நியர்கள் உன்னுடைய செல்வத்தினால் திருப்தியடைவார்கள்; உன்னுடைய உழைப்பின் பலன் மற்றவர்களுடைய வீட்டில் சேரும்.
11 When you come to the end of your life you'll moan in pain as disease destroys your body.
௧௧முடிவிலே உன்னுடைய மாம்சமும் உன்னுடைய சரீரமும் உருவழியும்போது நீ துக்கித்து:
12 You'll say, “How I used to hate discipline, and my mind rebelled against being corrected!
௧௨ஐயோ, போதகத்தை நான் வெறுத்தேனே, கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை என் மனம் அலட்சியம் செய்ததே!
13 I didn't listen to what my teacher said. I didn't pay attention to my instructors.
௧௩என்னுடைய போதகரின் சொல்லை நான் கேட்காலும், எனக்கு உபதேசம்செய்தவர்களுக்கு செவிகொடுக்காமலும் போனேனே!
14 Now I'm on the verge of being completely disgraced before everyone in the community.”
௧௪சபைக்குள்ளும் சங்கத்திற்குள்ளும் கொஞ்சம்குறைய எல்லாத் தீமைக்கும் உள்ளானேனே! என்று முறையிடுவாய்.
15 Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well.
௧௫உன்னுடைய கிணற்றிலுள்ள தண்ணீரையும், உன்னுடைய ஊற்றில் ஊறுகிற நீரையும் குடி.
16 Why should your springs be spilled outside, your streams of water poured out in the streets?
௧௬உன்னுடைய ஊற்றுகள் வெளியிலும் உன்னுடைய வாய்க்கால்கள் வீதிகளிலும் பாய்வதாக.
17 Keep them for yourselves alone. They're not for you to share with strangers.
௧௭அவைகள் அந்நியருக்கும் உரியவைகளாக இல்லாமல், உனக்கே உரியவைகளாக இருப்பதாக.
18 May your spring of water be blessed, and may you enjoy the wife you married when you were young.
௧௮உன்னுடைய ஊற்றுக்கண் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக; உன்னுடைய இளவயதின் மனைவியோடு மகிழ்ந்திரு.
19 May she be to you a loving deer, a graceful doe. May her breasts always be intoxicating to you; may you be drunk on her love forever.
௧௯அவளே நேசிக்கப்படக்கூடிய பெண்மானும், அழகான வரையாடும்போல இருப்பாளாக; அவளுடைய மார்புகளே எப்பொழுதும் உன்னைத் திருப்தியாக்கும்; அவளுடைய நேசத்தால் நீ எப்பொழுதும் மயங்கியிரு.
20 Why, my son, become intoxicated with an immoral woman? Why embrace the breasts of a woman who acts like a prostitute?
௨0என் மகனே, நீ ஒழுங்கீனமானவளின்மேல் மயங்கித் திரிந்து, அந்நிய பெண்ணின் மார்பைத் தழுவவேண்டியது என்ன?
21 For the Lord sees everything people do, the Lord investigates everywhere they go.
௨௧மனிதனுடைய வழிகள் யெகோவாவின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; அவனுடைய வழிகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் அவர் சீர்தூக்கிப்பார்க்கிறார்.
22 The wicked are trapped by their evil actions; the cords of their sins tie them up.
௨௨துன்மார்க்கனை அவனுடைய அக்கிரமங்களே பிடித்துக்கொள்ளும்; தன்னுடைய பாவக்கயிறுகளால் கட்டப்படுவான்.
23 They will die because they lack self-control, lost because of their great stupidity.
௨௩அவனுடைய புத்தியைக் கேட்காததினால் இறந்து, தன்னுடைய மதிகேட்டின் மிகுதியினால் மயங்கிப்போவான்.
