Proverbs 31
1 These are the words of King Lemuel, an oracle, taught to him by his mother.
ലെമൂവേൽരാജാവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ; അവന്റെ അമ്മ അവന്നു ഉപദേശിച്ചു കൊടുത്ത അരുളപ്പാടു.
2 What shall I tell you, my son?—the son I gave birth to, the son given in response to my vows.
മകനേ, എന്തു? ഞാൻ പ്രസവിച്ച മകനേ എന്തു? എന്റെ നേൎച്ചകളുടെ മകനേ, എന്തു?
3 Don't waste your strength sleeping with women, those that bring down kings.
സ്ത്രീകൾക്കു നിന്റെ ബലത്തെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൎക്കു നിന്റെ വഴികളെയും കൊടുക്കരുതു.
4 Lemuel, kings shouldn't be drinking wine, rulers shouldn't be drinking alcohol.
വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുന്നതു രാജാക്കന്മാൎക്കു കൊള്ളരുതു; ലെമൂവേലേ, രാജാക്കന്മാൎക്കു അതു കൊള്ളരുതു; മദ്യസക്തി പ്രഭുക്കന്മാൎക്കു കൊള്ളരുതു.
5 For if they drink, they'll forget what the law says, and pervert the rights of those who are suffering.
അവർ കുടിച്ചിട്ടു നിയമം മറന്നുപോകുവാനും അരിഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാനും ഇടവരരുതു.
6 Give alcohol to those who are dying, and wine to those who are in terrible distress.
നശിക്കുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നവന്നു മദ്യവും മനോവ്യസനമുള്ളവന്നു വീഞ്ഞും കൊടുക്ക.
7 Let them drink so they can forget their poverty, and not remember their troubles any longer.
അവൻ കുടിച്ചിട്ടു തന്റെ ദാരിദ്ൎയ്യം മറക്കയും തന്റെ അരിഷ്ടത ഓൎക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
8 Speak up for those who have no voice, for the rights of those marginalized by society.
ഊമന്നു വേണ്ടി നിന്റെ വായ് തുറക്ക; ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ഏവരുടെയും കാൎയ്യത്തിൽ തന്നേ.
9 Speak up and judge fairly; defend the poor and destitute.
നിന്റെ വായ് തുറന്നു നീതിയോടെ ന്യായം വിധിക്ക; എളിയവന്നും ദരിദ്രന്നും ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്ക.
10 Who can find a strong, capable wife? She's worth more than jewels!
സാമൎത്ഥ്യമുള്ള ഭാൎയ്യയെ ആൎക്കു കിട്ടും? അവളുടെ വില മുത്തുകളിലും ഏറും.
11 Her husband has complete confidence in her, and with her he'll never be poor.
ഭൎത്താവിന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവളെ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ലാഭത്തിന്നു ഒരു കുറവുമില്ല.
12 She brings him good, not evil, all her life.
അവൾ തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലമൊക്കെയും അവന്നു തിന്മയല്ല നന്മ തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
13 She gets wool and flax, and with her eager hands turns them into clothes.
അവൾ ആട്ടുരോമവും ചണവും സമ്പാദിച്ചു താല്പൎയ്യത്തോടെ കൈകൊണ്ടു വേലചെയ്യുന്നു.
14 Like a merchant's ship, she brings food from far away.
അവൾ കച്ചവടക്കപ്പൽപോലെയാകുന്നു; ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു ആഹാരം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
15 She gets up while it's still dark to make breakfast for her family, and to plan what her servant girls need to do.
അവൾ നന്നരാവിലെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു, വീട്ടിലുള്ളവൎക്കു ആഹാരവും വേലക്കാരത്തികൾക്കു ഓഹരിയും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.
16 She looks at a field, and decides to buy it; from the money she's earned she buys a vineyard.
അവൾ ഒരു നിലത്തിന്മേൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു അതു മേടിക്കുന്നു; കൈനേട്ടംകൊണ്ടു അവൾ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.
17 She's keen to get ready, and works hard with her strong arms.
അവൾ ബലംകൊണ്ടു അര മുറക്കുകയും ഭുജങ്ങളെ ശക്തീകരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
18 She knows that the things she makes are valuable. She keeps busy—her lamp burns late into the night.
തന്റെ വ്യാപാരം ആദായമുള്ളതെന്നു അവൾ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ വിളക്കു രാത്രിയിൽ കെട്ടുപോകുന്നതുമില്ല.
19 She spins the thread and weaves the cloth.
അവൾ വിടുത്തലെക്കു കൈ നീട്ടുന്നു; അവളുടെ വിരൽ കതിർ പിടിക്കുന്നു.
20 She's generous to the poor, and gives help to the needy.
അവൾ തന്റെ കൈ എളിയവൎക്കു തുറക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു കൈ നീട്ടുന്നു.
21 She doesn't worry if it snows, because her whole family has warm clothing.
തന്റെ വീട്ടുകാരെച്ചൊല്ലി അവൾ ഹിമത്തെ പേടിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവളുടെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവൎക്കൊക്കെയും ചുവപ്പു കമ്പളി ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
22 She makes herself bedspreads; she dresses in fine linen and purple clothes.
അവൾ തനിക്കു പരവതാനി ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ശണപടവും ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രവും അവളുടെ ഉടുപ്പു.
23 Her husband is well-respected in the council at the town gates, where he sits with the town elders.
ദേശത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവളുടെ ഭൎത്താവു പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനാകുന്നു.
24 She makes linen clothes for sale, and supplies merchants with belts.
അവൾ ശണവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കി വില്ക്കുന്നു; അരക്കച്ച ഉണ്ടാക്കി കച്ചവടക്കാരനെ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു.
25 She's clothed with strength and dignity, and she is happy about the future.
ബലവും മഹിമയും അവളുടെ ഉടുപ്പു; ഭാവികാലം ഓൎത്തു അവൾ പുഞ്ചിരിയിടുന്നു.
26 She speaks wise words, and she's kind when she gives instructions.
അവൾ ജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ വായ് തുറക്കുന്നു; ദയയുള്ള ഉപദേശം അവളുടെ നാവിന്മേൽ ഉണ്ടു.
27 She looks after the needs of her whole household, and she's never idle.
വീട്ടുകാരുടെ പെരുമാറ്റം അവൾ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കുന്നു; വെറുതെ ഇരുന്നു അഹോവൃത്തി കഴിക്കുന്നില്ല.
28 Her children are quick to bless her. Her husband praises her too, saying,
അവളുടെ മക്കൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവളെ ഭാഗ്യവതി എന്നു പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു; അവളുടെ ഭൎത്താവും അവളെ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നതു:
29 “Many women do great things, but you are better than all of them!”
അനേകം തരുണികൾ സാമൎത്ഥ്യം കാണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു; നീയോ അവരെല്ലാവരിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠയായിരിക്കുന്നു.
30 Charm can deceive, and beauty fades, but a woman who honors the Lord should be praised.
ലാവണ്യം വ്യാജവും സൌന്ദൎയ്യം വ്യൎത്ഥവും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവാഭക്തിയുള്ള സ്ത്രീയോ പ്രശംസിക്കപ്പെടും.
31 Give her the recognition she deserves; praise her publicly for what she's done.
അവളുടെ കൈകളുടെ ഫലം അവൾക്കു കൊടുപ്പിൻ; അവളുടെ സ്വന്തപ്രവൃത്തികൾ പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കൽ അവളെ പ്രശംസിക്കട്ടെ.
