< Proverbs 2 >

1 My son, if you accept what I say and value my instructions,
Anakko, no awatem dagiti sasaok ken ipategmo dagiti bilbilinko kenka,
2 if you pay attention to wisdom and really try to understand;
dumngegka iti kinasirib ken ipapusom ti mangawat.
3 if you cry out for insight and call loudly for help in understanding;
No umawagka a dumawat iti pannakaawat ken ipigsam ti timekmo para iti daytoy,
4 if you look for it as if it were silver and search for it as if it were hidden treasure;
no birokem daytoy a kas iti panagbirokmo iti pirak ken sapulem ti pannakaawat a kas iti panangbirokmo kadagiti nakalemmeng a gameng,
5 then you will understand how to relate to the Lord and discover the truth about God.
ket maawatamto ti panagbuteng kenni Yahweh ken mabirokamto ti pannakaammo iti Dios.
6 The Lord is the source of wisdom; what he says provides knowledge that makes sense.
Ta mangmangted ni Yahweh iti kinasirib, agtaud iti ngiwatna ti pannakaammo ken pannakaawat.
7 He gives good judgment to those who live right; he defends those who have good sense.
Iduldulinna ti pudno a kinasirib para kadagiti mangay-ayo kenkuana, isuna ket kalasag kadagiti agbiag iti rumbeng a wagas iti panagbiag,
8 He supports those who act fairly and protects those who trust in him.
banbantayanna ti dalan dagiti nalinteg ken taginayunenna ti dalan dagiti napudno kenkuana.
9 Then you will be able to recognize what is right and just and fair, in fact all that is good in the way you should live.
Ket maawatamto ti kinalinteg, hustisia, maiparbeng, ken amin a nasayaat a wagas.
10 For wisdom will fill your mind, and knowledge will make you happy.
Ta maadda ti kinasirib dita pusom, ket agbalin ti pannakaammo a ragsak iti kararuam.
11 Good decisions will keep you on track; thinking logically will keep you safe.
Saluadannaka ti kinatimbeng, bantayannaka ti pannakaawat.
12 Doing this will save you from the ways of evil, from men who tell twisted lies,
Ispalendaka manipud iti wagas ti kinadakes, manipud kadagiti agsasao kadagiti agkakadakes,
13 who turn away from following what is right to walk down paths of darkness.
kadagiti mangtaltallikud kadagiti nalinteg a wagas ken agbibiag iti wagas ti kinasipnget.
14 They happily do wrong; they love how twisted evil is.
Agragrag-oda tunggal agaramidda iti dakes ken agragragsakda kadagiti kinaballikog ti kinadakes.
15 They live crooked lives doing deceitful things.
Sursurotenda dagiti nakillo a pagnaan, ken babaen iti panangallilaw, gabgaburanda dagiti tugotda.
16 Doing this will also save you from a woman who acts immorally, from a woman who like a prostitute tries to seduce you with flattering words.
Isalakannaka ti kinasirib ken kinatimbeng manipud iti dakes a babai, manipud iti babai nga agbirbirok iti kapadasan ken manipud kadagiti mangpasablog a sasaona.
17 Such a woman has left her husband she married when she was young, forgetting the promises she made before God.
Baybay-anna ti gayyemna idi kaub-ubinganna ken linipatna ti karina iti Diosna.
18 What happens in her house leads to death; following her way leads to the grave.
Ta agrukruknoy ti balayna iti patay ken dagiti tugotna ket iturongnaka iti ayan dagiti adda iti tanem.
19 No one who goes to her comes back; they don't ever find the way back to life again.
Amin a mapmapan kenkuana ket saanen nga agsubli ken saanda a mabirokan dagiti pagnaan nga agturong iti biag.
20 So you should follow the way of the good, and make sure you stay on the paths of those who do right.
Isu nga agbiagka babaen iti wagas dagiti naimbag a tattao ken surotem dagiti wagas dagiti agar-aramid iti nalinteg.
21 For only people who live right will live in the land; only honest people will remain there.
Ta dagiti agar-aramid iti nalinteg ket agaramidto iti pagtaengan iti daga, ken dagiti addaan iti kinapudno ket agtalinaedto iti daytoy.
22 But the wicked will be thrown out of the land; those who are untrustworthy will be pulled out by the roots.
Ngem dagiti nadangkes ket mapaksiatto manipud iti daga, ken mapaksiatto manipud iti daytoy dagiti saan a mangtungtungpal kadagiti karida.
