< Proverbs 11 >
1 The Lord hates dishonest scales, but accurate weights please him.
Yon fo balans se abominasyon a SENYÈ a; men yon pwa ki jis se plezi Li.
2 With pride comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Lè ògèy vin monte, dezonè vin swiv; men avèk moun enb lan, se sajès.

5 The goodness of the innocent keeps them on track, but the wicked fall by their own wickedness.
Ladwati a sila ki san tò a va fè wout li vin swa; men mechan an va tonbe akoz pwòp inikite pa Li.
6 The goodness of those who live right will save them, but the dishonest are trapped by their own desires.
Ladwati a moun dwat yo va delivre yo; men moun trèt yo va kenbe pa pwòp vorasite yo.
7 When a wicked person dies, their hopes die with them; what the godless look forward to is gone.
Lè yon nonm mechan mouri, sa li anvizaje a mouri avè l.
8 The good are saved from trouble, while the wicked get into trouble.
Moun dwat la va delivre soti nan twoub; men mechan an va pran plas li.
9 Godless people mouth off and destroy their neighbors, but the good are saved by wisdom.
Avèk bouch li, moun san Bondye a detwi vwazen li; men ak konesans, moun dwat yo va delivre.
10 The whole town celebrates when good people are successful; they also shout for joy when the wicked die.
Lè sa ale byen ak moun dwat yo, vil la fè rejwisans; e lè mechan yo peri, gen gwo kri lajwa.
11 Ethical people are a blessing to a town, but what the wicked say destroys it.
Avèk benediksyon a moun dwat yo, yon vil vin leve wo; men avèk bouch a mechan yo, li vin chire nèt.
12 People who run down their neighbors have no sense; someone who's sensible keeps quiet.
Sila ki meprize vwazen li an, manke bon tèt; men yon nonm ak bon konprann pa pale menm.
13 A gossip goes around telling secrets, but trustworthy people keep confidences.
Sila ki mache toupatou tankou rapòte, revele sekrè yo; men sila ki dign de konfyans sere yon bagay.

16 A gracious woman holds on to her honor just as ruthless men hold on to their wealth.
Yon fanm ak gras twouve onè; e mesye san prensip yo twouve richès.
17 If you're kind, you'll be rewarded; but if you're cruel, you'll hurt yourself.
Yon nonm ki fè gras fè byen pou pwòp tèt li; men yon nonm mechan fè tèt li mal.
18 The wicked earn wages that cheat them, but those who sow goodness reap a genuine reward.
Mechan an ranmase salè li nan koken; men sila ki simen ladwati a, va twouve vrè rekonpans lan.
19 Do what's right, and you will live; chase after evil and you will die.
Sila ki fidèl nan ladwati a va jwenn lavi, e sila ki pouswiv mal la va jwenn pwòp lanmò pa li.
20 The Lord hates perverted minds, but is happy with those who live moral lives.
Sila ki pèvès nan kè yo abominab a SENYÈ a; men sila ki san tò nan chemen yo, se plezi Li.

Anverite, moun mechan an p ap chape anba pinisyon; men desandan a moun dwat yo va delivre.
22 A beautiful woman who lacks good judgment is like a gold ring in a pig's snout.
Tankou yon bag fèt an lò nan nen a kochon, se konsa yon bèl fanm ki manke bon sans.
23 Good people want what's best, but what the wicked hope for ends in death.
Dezi a moun dwat la se sèlman sa ki bon; men dezi a mechan an mennen jijman.
24 If you give generously you receive more, but if you keep back what you should give, you end up poor.
Gen yon moun ki separe bay; malgre sa li vin ogmante plis. Genyen ki refize bay sa ke li dwe, e sa fè l vin manke.
25 If you're generous, you'll become rich; give someone a drink of water, and you'll be given one in return.

26 People curse those who hoard grain; but they bless those who sell.
Sila ki refize bay manje sereyal la, va modi pa pèp la; men benediksyon va tonbe sou sila ki vann li an.
27 If you look to do good, you'll be appreciated; but if you look for evil, you'll find it!
Sila ki chache sa ki bon an, chache favè Bondye; men sila ki chache mal la, se mal la k ap vin jwenn li.
28 If you trust in your riches, you'll fall; but if you do good, you'll flourish like green leaves.
Sila ki mete konfyans nan richès li va vin tonbe; men moun dwat la va grandi tankou fèy vèt sou pyebwa.
29 If you cause trouble in your family, you'll inherit nothing but air. Stupid people end up as servants to those who think wisely.

30 The fruit of the good is a tree of life, and the wise person saves people.
Fwi ladwati a se yon pyebwa lavi, e sila ki saj va sove nanm yo.
31 If the good are repaid here on earth, how much more will the wicked who sin be repaid!
Si moun dwat yo twouve rekonpans yo sou latè, konbyen anplis pou mechan an avèk pechè a!
