Numbers 5
1 The Lord told Moses,
E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
2 “Order the Israelites to expel from the camp anyone who has a skin disease, or who has a discharge, or who is unclean from touching a dead body.
Ordena aos filhos de Israel que lancem fora do arraial a todo o leproso, e a todo o que padece fluxo, e a todos os imundos por causa de contacto com algum morto.
3 Whether male or female, you must expel them so they won't make their camp unclean, for that is where I live with them.”
Desde o homem até à mulher os lançareis: fora do arraial os lançareis, para que não contaminem os seus arraiais, no meio dos quais eu habito.
4 The Israelites followed these instructions, and expelled such people from the camp. They did what the Lord had told Moses they should do.
E os filhos de Israel fizeram assim, e os lançaram fora do arraial: como o Senhor falara a Moisés, assim fizeram os filhos de Israel.
5 The Lord told Moses,
Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
6 “Tell the Israelites that when a man or woman is unfaithful to the Lord by sinning against someone else, they are guilty
Dize aos filhos de Israel: Quando homem ou mulher fizer algum de todos os pecados humanos, trespassando contra o Senhor, tal alma culpada é.
7 and must confess their sin. They have to pay the full amount of compensation plus one fifth of its value, and give this to the person they have wronged.
E confessarão o seu pecado que fizeram; então restituirá a sua culpa, segundo a soma total, e lhe acrescentará o seu quinto, e o dará aquele contra quem se fez culpado.
8 However, if that person doesn't have a relative who can be paid the compensation, it belongs to the Lord and shall be given to the priest, together with a sacrificial ram by which the guilty person is set right.
Mas, se aquele homem não tiver resgatador, a quem se restitua a culpa, então a culpa que se restituir ao Senhor será do sacerdote, além do carneiro da expiação com que por ele fará expiação.
9 All holy offerings that the Israelites bring to the priest belong to him.
Semelhantemente toda a oferta de todas as coisas santificadas dos filhos de Israel, que trouxerem ao sacerdote, será sua.
10 Your holy offerings belong to you, but once you give them to the priest they belong to him.”
E as coisas santificadas de cada um serão suas: o que alguém der ao sacerdote será seu.
11 The Lord told Moses,
Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
12 “Tell the Israelites that these are the instructions to follow if a man's wife has an affair, being unfaithful to him
Fala aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes; Quando a mulher de algum se desviar, e trespassar contra ele,
13 by sleeping with someone else. It may be that her husband doesn't find out and her unclean act wasn't witnessed—she wasn't caught out.
De maneira que algum homem se houver deitado com ela, e for oculto aos olhos de seu marido, e ela o tiver ocultado, havendo-se ela contaminado, e contra ela não houver testemunha, e no feito não for apanhada,
14 But if her husband becomes jealous and suspicious of his wife, whether she's guilty or not,
E o espírito de ciúmes vier sobre ele, e de sua mulher tiver ciúmes, por ela se haver contaminado, ou sobre ele vier o espírito de ciúmes, e de sua mulher tiver ciúmes, não se havendo ela contaminado,
15 he is to take her before the priest. He is also to take with him on her behalf an offering of one tenth of an ephath of barley flour. He must also bring for her an offering of an ephah of barley flour. He's not to pour olive oil over it or put frankincense on it, since it's a grain offering for jealousy, a reminder offering to remind people about sin.
Então aquele varão trará a sua mulher perante o sacerdote, e juntamente trará a sua oferta por ela: uma décima de epha de farinha de cevada, sobre a qual não deitará azeite, nem sobre ela porá incenso, porquanto é oferta de manjares de ciúmes, oferta memorativa, que traz a iniquidade em memória
16 The priest is to lead the wife forward and have her stand before the Lord.
E o sacerdote a fará chegar, e a porá perante a face do Senhor.
17 Then he shall fill a clay jar with holy water in a clay jar and sprinkle on it some dust from the floor of the Tabernacle.
E o sacerdote tomará água santa num vaso de barro; também tomará o sacerdote do pó que houver no chão do tabernáculo, e o deitará na água
18 Once the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall let her hair loose and have her hold the reminder grain offering—the grain offering used in cases of jealousy. The priest shall hold the bitter water that curses.
Então o sacerdote apresentará a mulher perante o Senhor, e descobrirá a cabeça da mulher; e a oferta memorativa de manjares, que é a oferta de manjares dos ciúmes, porá sobre as suas mãos, e a água amarga, que traz consigo a maldição, estará na mão do sacerdote.
19 He shall place the woman under oath and tell her, ‘If no one else has slept with you and you have not been unfaithful and become unclean while married to your husband, may you not be harmed by this bitter water that curses.
E o sacerdote a conjurará, e dirá àquela mulher: Se ninguém contigo se deitou, e se não te apartaste de teu marido pela imundícia, destas águas amargas, amaldiçoantes, serás livre
20 But if you have been unfaithful while married to your husband and have become unclean and have had sex with someone else…”
Mas, se te apartaste de teu marido, e te contaminaste, e algum homem, fora de teu marido, se deitou contigo;
21 (Here the priest shall place the woman under the oath of the curse as follows.) “May the Lord place a curse on you that everyone knows about by having your thighs shrink and your belly swell up.
Então o sacerdote conjurará à mulher com a conjuração da maldição; e o sacerdote dirá à mulher: O Senhor te ponha por maldição e por conjuração no meio do teu povo, fazendo-te o Senhor descair a coxa e inchar o ventre.
22 May this water that curses go into your stomach and make your belly swell up and your thighs shrink.” The woman is to answer, “I agree, I agree.”
E esta água amaldiçoante entre nas tuas entranhas, para te fazer inchar o ventre, e te fazer descair a coxa. Então a mulher dirá: amém, amém.
23 The priest is to write these curses on a scroll and then wash them off into the bitter water.
Depois o sacerdote escreverá estas mesmas maldições num livro, e com a água amarga as apagará.
24 He shall make the woman drink the bitter water that curses, and it will cause her bitter pain if she is guilty.
E a água amarga, amaldiçoante, dará a beber à mulher, e a água amaldiçoante entrará nela para amargurar.
25 The priest shall take back from her the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the Lord, and take it to the altar.
E o sacerdote tomará a oferta de manjares dos ciúmes da mão da mulher, e moverá a oferta de manjares perante o Senhor; e a oferecerá sobre o altar.
26 Then the priest shall take a handful of the grain offering as a reminder portion and burn it on the altar, and make the woman drink the water.
Também o sacerdote tomará um punhado da oferta de manjares, da oferta memorativa, e sobre o altar o queimará: e depois dará a beber a água à mulher.
27 After he has made her drink the water, if she has made herself unclean and has been unfaithful to her husband, then the water that curses will cause her bitter pain. Her belly will swell up and her thighs will shrink. She will become a cursed woman among her people.
E, havendo-lhe dado a beber aquela água, será que, se ela se tiver contaminado, e contra seu marido tiver trespassado, a água amaldiçoante entrará nela para amargura, e o seu ventre se inchará, e a sua coxa descairá; e aquela mulher será por maldição no meio do seu povo
28 But if the woman has not made herself unclean by being unfaithful and is clean, she will not experience this punishment and she will still be able to have children.
E, se a mulher se não tiver contaminado, mas estiver limpa, então será livre, e conceberá semente.
29 This is the rule to follow in cases of jealousy when a wife has an affair and makes herself unclean while married to her husband,
Esta é a lei dos ciúmes, quando a mulher, em poder de seu marido, se desviar e for contaminada;
30 or when a husband starts feeling jealous and becomes suspicious of his wife. He shall have his wife stand before the Lord, and the priest is to carry out every part of this rule.
Ou quando sobre o homem vier o espírito de ciúmes, e tiver ciúmes de sua mulher, apresente a mulher perante o Senhor, e o sacerdote nela execute toda esta lei.
31 If she is found guilty, her husband will not be held responsible. But the woman will bear the consequences of her sin.
E o homem será livre da iniquidade, porém a mulher levará a sua iniquidade.
