< Numbers 36 >

1 The family heads of the descendants of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, one of the tribes of Joseph, came and spoke before Moses and the Israelite leaders, the heads of families.
Àwọn olórí ìdílé Gileadi, ọmọkùnrin Makiri ọmọ Manase tí ó wá láti ara ìdílé ìran Josẹfu wá, wọ́n sì sọ̀rọ̀ níwájú Mose àti àwọn olórí, àwọn ìdílé Israẹli.
2 They said, “When the Lord ordered you, my lord, to allocate land ownership to the Israelites by lot, he also ordered you to give our brother Zelophehad's share to his daughters.
Wọ́n sọ pé, “Nígbà tí Olúwa pàṣẹ fún olúwa mi láti fi ilẹ̀ yìí fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli gẹ́gẹ́ bí ogún nípa kèké ṣíṣẹ́. Ó pa á láṣẹ fún ọ láti fi ogún Selofehadi arákùnrin wa fún àwọn ọmọbìnrin rẹ̀.
3 However, if they marry men from the other tribes of Israel, their allocation would be taken away our fathers' share and added to the tribe of the men they marry. That part of our allocation would be lost to us.
Wàyí, tí wọn bá fẹ́ ọkùnrin láti ẹ̀yà Israẹli mìíràn; nígbà náà a ó gba ogún un wọn kúrò nínú ogún ìran wa, a ó sì fi kún ogún ẹ̀yà tí a fẹ́ wọn sí. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a ó sì gbà á kúrò nínú ìpín ilẹ̀ ogún ti wa.
4 So when the Jubilee for the Israelites comes around, their allocation would be added to the tribe into which they marry, and taken away from our fathers' tribe.”
Nígbà tí ọdún ìdásílẹ̀ àwọn ọmọ Israẹli bá dé, a ó pa ogún wọn pọ̀ mọ́ ẹ̀yà tí wọ́n fẹ́ wọn sí, a ó sì gba ogún ẹ̀yà wọn kúrò lọ́wọ́ baba ńlá wọn.”
5 Following what the Lord told him, Moses gave these orders to the Israelites, “What the tribe of the sons of Joseph says is right.
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí àṣẹ Olúwa, Mose pàṣẹ fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli pé, “Ohun ti ẹ̀yà àwọn ìran Josẹfu ń sọ tọ̀nà.
6 This is what the Lord has ordered in regard to Zelophehad's daughters: They can marry anyone they want as long as they marry within a family that belongs to their father's tribe.
Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa pàṣẹ fún àwọn ọmọbìnrin Selofehadi: wọ́n lè fẹ́ ẹni tí ọkàn wọn fẹ́, kìkì pé wọ́n fẹ́ nínú ẹ̀yà ìdílé baba wọn.
7 No land allocation in Israel may be passed from tribe to tribe, because every Israelite is to hold onto the allocation of his father's tribe.
Kò sí ogún kan ní Israẹli tí ó gbọdọ̀ kọjá láti ẹ̀yà kan sí ẹ̀yà mìíràn, nítorí gbogbo ọmọ Israẹli ni yóò fi ilẹ̀ ogún ẹ̀yà tí wọ́n jogún láti ọ̀dọ̀ baba ńlá wọn pamọ́.
8 Every daughter who possesses an inheritance from any Israelite tribe must marry within a clan of the tribe of her father, so that every Israelite will possess the inheritance of his fathers.
Gbogbo ọmọbìnrin tí ó bá jogún ilẹ̀ nínú ẹ̀yà Israẹli kọ̀ọ̀kan gbọdọ̀ fẹ́ ènìyàn nínú ẹ̀yà ìdílé baba rẹ̀, kí gbogbo ọmọ Israẹli lè ní ìpín nínú ogún baba wọn.
9 No land allocation may be passed from one tribe to another, for each Israelite tribe must hold onto its own allocation.”
Kò sí ogún kankan tí ó gbọdọ̀ kọjá láti ẹ̀yà kan sí ẹ̀yà òmíràn, nítorí olúkúlùkù ẹ̀yà ọmọ Israẹli gbọdọ̀ tọ́jú ilẹ̀ tí ó jogún.”
10 Zelophehad's daughters followed the Lord's orders through Moses.
Nígbà náà, àwọn ọmọbìnrin Selofehadi ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti pa á láṣẹ fún Mose.
11 Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah, Zelophehad's daughters, married cousins on their father's side.
Nítorí pé a gbé Mahila, Tirsa, Hogla, Milka, àti Noa, àwọn ọmọbìnrin Selofehadi ní ìyàwó fún àwọn ọmọ arákùnrin baba wọn.
