Numbers 31
1 The Lord told Moses,
И рече Господь к Моисею, глаголя:
2 “Punish the Midianites because of what they did to the Israelites. After that you will join your forefathers in death.”
отмсти месть сынов Израилевых от Мадианитов, и последи приложишися к людем своим.
3 Moses instructed the people, “Have some of your men get ready for battle, so they can go and attack the Midianites and carry out the Lord's punishment on them.
И рече Моисей к людем, глаголя: вооружите от вас мужы и ополчитеся пред Господем на Мадиама, отдати отмщение от Господа Мадиаму:
4 You are to contribute one thousand men from each Israelite tribe.”
тысящу от племене и тысящу от племене, от всех племен сынов Израилевых, послите ополчитися.
5 So one thousand men were chosen from each Israelite tribe, making twelve thousand troops ready for battle.
И сочтоша от тысящ Израилевых, по тысящи от племене, дванадесять тысящ вооруженых на брань.
6 Moses sent them into battle, one thousand from each tribe, together with Phinehas, son of Eleazar the priest. He carried with him the holy objects from the sanctuary and the trumpets used for giving signals.
И посла я Моисей тысящу от племене и тысящу от племене с силою их, и Финееса сына Елеазарова сына Аарона жерца: и сосуды святыя, и трубы знаменныя в руках их.
7 They attacked the Midianites, as the Lord had told Moses to do, and they killed all the men.
И ополчишася на Мадиама, якоже повеле Господь Моисею, и избиша весь мужеск пол:
8 Among those killed were the five kings of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba. They also killed Balaam, son of Beor, with the sword.
и царей Мадиамских убиша вкупе с язвеными их, и Евина и Рокома, и Сура и Ура и ровока, пять царей Мадиамлих: и Валаама сына Веорова убиша мечем с язвеными их:
9 The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children, and they took as plunder all their herds, flocks, and possessions.
и плениша жен Мадиамлих и имения их, и скоты их и вся притяжания их, и силу их плениша:
10 They set fire to all the Midianite towns and camps where they had lived,
и вся грады их, яже во обитаниих их, и веси их пожгоша огнем,
11 and carried away all the plunder and loot, including people and animals.
и взяша весь плен их и вся корысти их, от человека до скота:
12 They brought the prisoners, loot, and plunder to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the rest of the Israelites where they were camped on the plains of Moab, beside the Jordan opposite Jericho.
и приведоша к Моисею и ко Елеазару жерцу и ко всем сыном Израилевым плен и корысти и имение в полк, во аравоф Моавль, иже есть у Иордана при Иерихоне.
13 Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the Israelite leaders went out of the camp to meet them.
И изыде Моисей и Елеазар жрец и вси князи сонма в сретение им вне полка.
14 Moses was angry with the army officers, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, who returned from the battle.
И разгневася Моисей на надзирателей силы, тысященачалников и стоначалников идущих от ополчения брани.
15 “Why did you let all the women live?” he asked them.
И рече им Моисей: вскую жив остависте весь женск пол?
16 “You realize that these were the women seduced the Israelite men, leading them to be unfaithful to the Lord at Peor, following Balaam's advice! That's why the Lord's people suffered from the plague!
Тыя бо быша сыном Израилевым, по словеси Валаамлю, еже отступити и презрети слово Господне Фогора ради, и бысть язва в сонме Господни:
17 So go and kill all the boys and every woman who has had slept with a man.
и ныне избийте всяк мужеск пол во всяком возрасте, и всяку жену, яже позна ложе мужеско, избийте:
18 Let all the girls who are virgins live. They are yours.
и всяк возраст женск, яже не познаша ложа мужеска, живых оставите я:
19 All those of you who killed someone or touched a dead body must stay outside the camp for seven days. Purify yourselves and your prisoners on the third day and the seventh day.
и вы станите вне полка седмь дний: всяк убивый душу и прикоснувыйся убиеному да очистится в третий день и в день седмый, вы и плен ваш:
20 Also purify all your clothing garment and anything made of leather, goat's hair, or wood.”
и всяку одежду, и всяк сосуд кожан, и всяко соделаное от козличины, и всяк сосуд древян очистите.
21 Eleazar the priest told the soldiers who had gone into battle, “These are the legal regulations that the Lord has ordered Moses to be carried out:
И рече Елеазар жрец к мужем силы приходящым от ополчения ратнаго: сие оправдание закона, еже заповеда Господь Моисею:
22 All that's made of gold, silver, bronze, iron, tin, and lead—
кроме сребра и злата, и меди и железа, и касситера и олова,
23 anything that doesn't burn—must be put through fire to make it clean. But it still has to be purified using water of purification. Anything that burns must be put through the water.
всяка вещь, яже пройдет сквозе огнь, и (огнем) очистится, но и водою очищения очистится: и вся, елика аще не пройдут сквозе огнь, да пройдут сквозе воду:
24 Wash your clothes on the seventh day and you will be clean. Then you can enter the camp.”
и исперите ризы вашя в день седмый, и очиститеся: и по сих внидете в полк.
25 The Lord told Moses,
И рече Господь к Моисею, глаголя:
26 “You, Eleazar the priest, and the Israelite family leaders are to take a record of the people and animals that were captured.
возмите сочисление корыстей плена от человека до скота, ты и Елеазар жрец и князи отечеств сонма,
27 Then divide them between the troops who went into battle and the rest of the Israelites.
и разделите корысти между воины ходившими на брань и между всем сонмом,
28 Take as a contribution to the Lord from what is allocated to the troops who went into battle one out of every five hundred people, cattle, donkeys, or sheep.
и отлучите дань Господу от людий военных ходивших на брань, едину душу от пяти сот, от человек и от скотов, и от волов и от овец и от ослят,
29 Take this from their half share and give it to Eleazar the priest as an offering to the Lord.
и от половины их да возмете, и даси Елеазару жерцу начатки Господни:
30 From the Israelites; half share, take one out of every fifty people, cattle, donkeys, or sheep, or other animals, and give them to the Levites who take care of the Lord's Tabernacle.”
и от половины сынов Израилевых да возмеши едино от пятидесяти человек, и от волов и от овец, и от ослят и от всех скотов, и даси я левитом, иже стрегут стражбы в скинии Господни.
31 Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the Lord had ordered Moses.
И сотвори Моисей и Елеазар жрец, якоже повеле Господь Моисею.
32 This was the list of plunder remaining that had been looted by the troops: 675,000 sheep,
И бысть множество плена, егоже плениша мужи воинстии, от овец шесть сот седмьдесят пять тысящ,
33 72,000 cattle,
и волов седмьдесят две тысящы,
34 61,000 donkeys,
и ослов шестьдесят едина тысяща,
35 and 32,000 virgins.
и душ человеческих от женска полу, яже не познаша ложа мужеска, всех душ тридесять две тысящы:
36 This was the half share for those who had gone to fight: 337,500 sheep,
и бысть половина часть ходивших на брань, от числа овец триста тридесять седмь тысящ и пять сот:
37 with a contribution for the Lord of 675,
и бысть дань Господу от овец шесть сот седмьдесят пять:
38 36,000 cattle, with a Lord's contribution of 72,
и волов тридесять шесть тысящ, и дань Господу седмьдесят и два:
39 30,500 donkeys, with a Lord's contribution of 61,
и ослов тридесять тысящ пять сот, и дань Господу шестьдесят един:
40 and 16,000 people, with a Lord's contribution of 32.
и душ человеческих шестьнадесять тысящ, и дань от сих Господу тридесять две души.
41 Moses gave the contribution to Eleazar the priest as an offering to the Lord as the Lord had ordered Moses.
И даде Моисей дань Господу, участие Божие Елеазару жерцу, якоже повеле Господь Моисею.
42 The Israelites' half share left after Moses had given the half share to the troops who had gone to fight,
От половины сынов Израилевых, ихже раздели Моисей от мужей военных:
43 consisted of: 337,500 sheep,
и бысть половина от сонма, от овец триста и тридесять седмь тысящ и пять сот:
44 36,000 cattle,
и волов тридесять шесть тысящ:
45 30,500 donkeys,
ослов тридесять тысящ и пять сот:
46 and 16,000 people.
и человечих душ шестьнадесять тысящ:
47 Moses took from the Israelites' half one out of every fifty people and animals and gave them the Levites who take care of the Lord's Tabernacle, as the Lord had ordered him.
и взя Моисей от половины сынов Израилевых, едино от пятидесяти, от человек и от скотов, и даде я левитом стрегущым стражбы скинии Господни, якоже повеле Господь Моисею.
48 The army officers, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, came to Moses
И приидоша к Моисею вси поставленнии над тысящами силы, тысященачалники и стоначалники,
49 and told him, “We, your servants, have checked the troops we command and not a single man is missing.
и рекоша к Моисею: отроцы твои взяша сочтение от мужей воинских, иже суть у нас, и никтоже погибе от них:
50 So we have brought the Lord an offering of the gold objects each man received—armlets, bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces—in order that we may be right before the Lord.”
и принесохом дар Господу, муж еже обрете, сосуд злат и обручие, и гривну и перстень, и усерязи и чепь златую, умолити о нас пред Господем.
51 Moses and Eleazar the priest accepted from them all the objects made out of gold.
И взя Моисей и Елеазар жрец злато от них, всяк сосуд соделан.
52 The gold that the commanders of thousands and of hundreds gave as an offering to the Lord weighed in total 16,750 shekels.
И бысть всего злата участие, еже отлучися Господу, шестьнадесять тысящ и седмь сот и пятьдесят сикль от тысященачалников и от стоначалников.
53 (The men who had fought in the battle had each taken plunder for himself.)
И мужи воинстии плениша кийждо себе.
54 Moses and Eleazar the priest accepted the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds and took it into the Tent of Meeting as a memorial offering for the Israelites in the presence of the Lord.
И взяша Моисей и Елеазар жрец злато от тысященачалников и от стоначалников и внесоша е в скинию свидения, в память сынов Израилевых пред Господем.
