Numbers 3
1 This is the account concerning Aaron and Moses when the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai.
E estas são as gerações de Aarão e de Moisés, no dia em que o Senhor falou com Moisés no monte de Sinai
2 The names of the sons of Aaron were: Nadab (firstborn), Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Aarão: o primogênito Nadab; depois Abihu, Eleasar e Ithamar.
3 These were the names of Aaron's sons who were anointed and ordained to serve as priests.
Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Aarão, dos sacerdotes ungidos, cujas mãos foram sagradas para administrar o sacerdócio.
4 Nadab and Abihu died in the Lord's presence when they offered forbidden fire before the Lord in the Sinai desert. Since they didn't have any sons, Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests while their father Aaron was alive.
Mas Nadab e Abihu morreram perante o Senhor, quando ofereceram fogo estranho perante o Senhor no deserto de Sinai, e não tiveram filhos: porém Eleasar e Ithamar administraram o sacerdócio diante de Aarão, seu pai.
5 The Lord told Moses,
E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
6 “Gather the tribe of Levi together and present them to Aaron the priest to help him with the ministry.
Faze chegar a tribo de Levi, e põe-na diante de Aarão, o sacerdote, para que o sirvam,
7 They are to carry out duties on his behalf and for all the Israelites at the Tent of Meeting, looking after the service of the Tabernacle.
E tenham cuidado da sua guarda, e da guarda de toda a congregação, diante da tenda da congregação, para administrar o ministério do tabernáculo.
8 They are responsible for caring for all the furniture of the Tent of Meeting, serving the Israelites through what they do in the Tabernacle.
E tenham cuidado de todos os vasos da tenda da congregação, e da guarda dos filhos de Israel, para administrar o ministério do tabernáculo.
9 The Levites are to work exclusively for Aaron and his sons of because this is their assignment among the Israelites.
Darás pois os levitas a Aarão e a seus filhos: dentre os filhos de Israel lhes são dados em dádiva.
10 You are to appoint Aaron and his sons to have the responsibility of the priesthood. Anyone else who tries to act as a priest must be executed.”
Mas a Aarão e a seus filhos ordenarás que guardem o seu sacerdócio, e estranho que chegar morrerá.
11 The Lord told Moses,
E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
12 “I've taken the Levites from the Israelites in place of every one of their firstborn. The Levites belong to me
E eu, eis que, tenho tomado os levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel, em lugar de todo o primogênito, que abre a madre, entre os filhos de Israel: e os levitas serão meus.
13 because all the firstborn are mine. When I killed every firstborn in Egypt I set apart as holy to me all the firstborn of Israel, human and animal. They are mine. I am the Lord.”
Porque todo o primogênito meu é: desde o dia em que tenho ferido a todo o primogênito na terra do Egito, santifiquei-me todo o primogênito em Israel, desde o homem até ao animal: meus serão; Eu sou o Senhor.
14 The Lord spoke to Moses in the Sinai desert. He told him,
E falou o Senhor a Moisés no deserto de Sinai, dizendo:
15 “Register the Levites by their father's line and family. Count every male aged one month or older.”
Conta os filhos de Levi, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelas suas gerações; contarás a todo o macho da idade de um ano e para cima.
16 So Moses registered them following the Lord's instructions, just as he had been told.
E Moisés os contou conforme ao mandado do Senhor, como lhe foi ordenado.
17 These were the names of Levi's sons: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Estes pois foram os filhos de Levi pelos seus nomes: Gerson, e Kohath e Merari.
18 These were the names of the Gershon's sons by family: Libni and Shimei.
E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Gerson pelas suas gerações; Libni e Simei.
19 Kohath's sons by family were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
E os filhos de Kohath pelas suas gerações: Amram, e Jizhar, Hebron e Uziel.
20 Merari's sons by family were Mahli and Mushi. These were the families of the Levites, according to their father's line.
E os filhos de Merari pelas suas gerações: Maheli e Musi: estas são as gerações dos levitas, segundo a casa de seus pais
21 The family of Libni and the family of Shimei came from Gershon. These were the families of Gershon.
De Gerson é a geração dos libnitas e a geração dos simeitas: estas são as gerações dos gersonitas.
22 The total of all males aged one month or older was 7,500.
Os que deles foram contados pelo número de todo o macho da idade de um mês e para cima, os que deles foram contados foram sete mil e quinhentos.
23 The camp of families of Gerson was to the west, behind the Tabernacle.
As gerações dos gersonitas assentarão as suas tendas atráz do tabernáculo, ao ocidente.
24 The leader of the Gershon families was Eliasaph, son of Lael.
E o príncipe da casa paterna dos gersonitas será Eliasaph, filho de Lael.
25 Their assigned responsibility for the Tent of Meeting was to take care of the Tabernacle and tent, its covering, the curtain at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting,
E a guarda dos filhos de Gerson na tenda da congregação será o tabernáculo, e a tenda, a sua coberta, e o véu da porta da tenda da congregação,
26 the courtyard curtains, the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the Tabernacle and altar, the ropes, and everything connected with their use.
E as cortinas do pátio, e o pavilhão da porta do pátio, que estão junto ao tabernáculo e junto ao altar, em redor: como também as suas cordas para todo o seu serviço.
27 The families of Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel came from Kohath. These were the families of Kohath.
E de Kohath é a geração dos amramitas, e a geração dos jiznaritas, e a geração dos hebronitas, e a geração dos hussielitas: estas são as gerações dos kohathitas.
28 The total of all males aged one month or older was 8,600. Their assigned responsibility was to take care of the sanctuary.
Pelo número contado de todo o macho da idade de um mês e para cima, foram cito mil e seiscentos, que tinham cuidado da guarda do santuário.
29 The camp of families of Kohath was on the south side of the Tabernacle.
As gerações dos filhos de Kohath assentarão as suas tendas ao lado do tabernáculo, da banda do sul.
30 The leader of the Kohath families was Elizaphan son of Uzziel.
E o príncipe de casa paterna das gerações dos kohathitas será Elisaphan, filho de Ussiel.
31 Their assigned responsibility was to care for the Ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used with them, the veil, and everything connected with these items.
E a sua guarda será a arca, e a mesa, e o castiçal, e os altares, e os vasos do santuário com que ministram, e o véu com todo o seu serviço.
32 The chief of the leaders of the Levites was Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest. He was in charge of those responsible for serving in the sanctuary.
E o príncipe dos príncipes de Levi será Eleasar, filho de Aarão, o sacerdote: terá a superintendência sobre os que tem cuidado da guarda do santuário.
33 The family of Mahli and the family of Mushi came from Merari. These were the families of Merari.
De Merari é a geração dos mahelitas e a geração dos musitas; estas são as gerações de Merari.
34 The total of all males aged one month or older was 6,200.
E os que deles foram contados pelo número de todo o macho de um mês e para cima foram seis mil e duzentos.
35 The leader of the Merari families was Zuriel, son of Abihail. Their camp was on the north side of the Tabernacle.
E o príncipe da casa paterna das gerações de Merari será Suriel, filho de Abihail: assentarão as suas tendas ao lado do tabernáculo, da banda do norte.
36 Their assigned responsibility was to take care of the Tabernacle's frames, crossbars, posts, stands, all its equipment, and everything connected with their use,
E o cargo da guarda dos filhos de Merari serão as tábuas do tabernáculo, e os seus varais, e as suas colunas, e as suas bases, e todos os seus vasos, com todo o seu serviço,
37 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their stands, tent pegs, and ropes.
E as colunas do pátio em redor, e as suas bases, e as suas estacas e as suas cordas.
38 The camp of Moses, Aaron, and Aaron's sons was to the east of the Tabernacle, in the direction of the sunrise, in front of the Tent of Meeting. They were responsible for the sanctuary on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who tried to act as a priest was to be executed.
E os que assentarão as suas tendas diante do tabernáculo, ao oriente, diante da tenda da congregação, para a banda do nascente, serão Moisés e Aarão, com seus filhos, tendo o cuidado da guarda do santuário, pela guarda dos filhos de Israel: e o estranho que se chegar morrerá.
39 The sum total of Levites registered by Moses and Aaron as the Lord ordered was 22,000. This included all males aged one month or older.
Todos os que foram contados dos levitas, que contou Moisés e Aarão, por mandado do Senhor, segundo as suas gerações, todo o macho de um mês e para cima, foram vinte e dois mil
40 The Lord told Moses, “Conduct a census of all the firstborn Israelite males aged one month or older, and register their names.
E disse o Senhor a Moisés: Conta todo e primogênito macho dos filhos de Israel, da idade dum mês e para cima, e toma o número dos seus nomes.
41 Assign the Levites to me. I am the Lord. They are in place of all of the Israelites' firstborn children. The livestock of the Levites are in place of all the Israelites' firstborn livestock.”
E para mim tomarás os levitas (Eu sou o Senhor), em lugar de todo o primogênito dos filhos de Israel, e os animais dos levitas, em lugar de todo o primogênito entre os animais dos filhos de Israel.
42 Moses conducted a census of all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the Lord had instructed him.
E contou Moisés, como o Senhor lhe ordenara, todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel.
43 The sum total of the firstborn males a month old or more, registered by name, was 22,273.
E todos os primogênitos dos machos, pelo número dos nomes dos da idade dum mês e para cima, segundo os que foram contados deles, foram vinte e dois mil e duzentos e sessenta e três.
44 The Lord spoke to Moses and told him,
E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
45 “You are to take the Levites in place of all the firstborn children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock, because the Levites belong to me. I am the Lord.
Toma os levitas em lugar de todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel, e os animais dos levitas em lugar dos seus animais: porquanto os levitas serão meus: Eu sou o Senhor.
46 In order to buy back the 273 firstborn Israelites who are more than the number of Levites,
Quanto aos duzentos e setenta e três, que se houverem de resgatar, que sobrepujam aos levitas dos primogênitos dos filhos de Israel,
47 collect five shekels for each of them, (using the sanctuary shekel standard of twenty gerahs).
Tomarás por cada cabeça cinco siclos: conforme ao siclo do santuário os tomarás, a vinte geras o siclo.
48 He handed the money over to Aaron and his sons as the redemption price for the extra Israelites.”
E a Aarão e a seus filhos darás o dinheiro dos resgatados, dos que sobejam entre eles.
49 Moses collected the redemption money for those extra Israelites that were more than the number redeemed by the Levites.
Então Moisés tomou o dinheiro do resgate dos que sobejaram sobre os resgatados pelos levitas.
50 He collected the money given on behalf of the Israelites' firstborn children. It came to 1,365 shekels, (using the sanctuary shekel standard).
Dos primogênitos dos filhos de Israel tomou o dinheiro, mil e trezentos e sessenta e cinco siclos, segundo o siclo do santuário.
51 Moses gave this redemption money to Aaron and his sons as the Lord had told him to, following the Lord's instructions.
E Moisés deu o dinheiro dos resgatados a Aarão e a seus filhos, segundo o mandado do Senhor, como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.
