Numbers 18
1 The Lord told Aaron, “You and your sons and the other Levites bear the responsibility for sins relating to the sanctuary. You and your sons alone bear the responsibility for sins relating to your priesthood.
Und Jehova sprach zu Aaron: Du und deine Söhne und das Haus deines Vaters mit dir, ihr sollt die Ungerechtigkeit des Heiligtums tragen; und du und deine Söhne mit dir, ihr sollt die Ungerechtigkeit eures Priestertums tragen.
2 Have your brothers from the tribe of Levi, your father's tribe, join you to help you and your sons with your service in the Tent of the Testimony.
Und auch deine Brüder, den Stamm Levi, den Stamm deines Vaters, laß mit dir herzunahen, daß sie sich dir anschließen [S. die Anm. zu 1. Mose 29,34] und dir dienen; du aber und deine Söhne mit dir, ihr sollt vor dem Zelte des Zeugnisses dienen.
3 They will take care of your responsibilities and those relating to the Tent, but they must not come too close to the sacred objects of the sanctuary or the altar, otherwise they will die, and you will too.
Und sie sollen deiner Hut warten und der Hut des ganzen Zeltes; nur den Geräten des Heiligtums und dem Altar sollen sie nicht nahen, daß sie nicht sterben, sowohl sie als auch ihr.
4 They are to help you and take care of the responsibilities of the Tent of Meeting, doing all the work at the Tent, but they are not allowed to be with you during your priestly ministry.
Und sie sollen sich dir anschließen und der Hut des Zeltes der Zusammenkunft warten nach allem Dienste des Zeltes; aber kein Fremder soll euch nahen.
5 You are to carry out the responsibilities relating to the sanctuary and the altar, so that my anger will not fall on the Israelites again.
Und ihr sollt der Hut des Heiligtums und der Hut des Altars warten, daß kein Zorn mehr über die Kinder Israel komme.
6 Look, I myself have chosen your brothers the Levites from the Israelites as my gift to you, dedicated to the Lord to do the work that relates the Tent of Meeting.
Und ich, siehe, ich habe eure Brüder, die Leviten, aus der Mitte der Kinder Israel genommen; euch als Geschenk sind sie dem Jehova gegeben, [Vergl. Kap. 8,16. 19] um den Dienst des Zeltes der Zusammenkunft zu verrichten.
7 But only you and your sons are responsible for your priesthood, doing all that concerns the altar and is behind the veil. Only you are to perform that service. I am giving you the gift of your priesthood, but anyone else who approaches the sanctuary must be executed.”
Du aber und deine Söhne mit dir, ihr sollt eures Priestertums warten, in allem, was den Altar betrifft und innerhalb des Vorhangs, und so den Dienst tun; als einen geschenkten Dienst gebe ich euch das Priestertum. Der Fremde aber, der herzunaht, soll getötet werden.
8 The Lord told Aaron, “Listen, I have put you in charge of officiating at my offerings. All the holy contributions of the Israelites that they bring are reserved for you, and this is a permanent rule.
Und Jehova redete zu Aaron: Und ich, siehe, ich habe dir die Hut meiner Hebopfer gegeben; von allen heiligen Dingen der Kinder Israel habe ich sie dir und deinen Söhnen gegeben, als Salbungsteil, [Vergl. 3. Mose 7,35] als eine ewige Gebühr. [W. als ein für ewig Bestimmtes; so auch v 11. 19]
9 Part of the most holy offerings taken from the burnt offerings are yours. Part of all the offerings they give me as most holy offerings, whether it's grain offerings or sin offerings or guilt offerings, that part belongs to you and your sons.
Dies soll dir gehören von dem Hochheiligen, das nicht verbrannt wird: alle ihre Opfergaben nach allen ihren Speisopfern und nach allen ihren Sündopfern und nach allen ihren Schuldopfern, die sie mir darbringen, [Eig. erstatten, entrichten] als ein Hochheiliges soll es dir und deinen Söhnen gehören.
10 You shall eat it in a most holy place. Every male is allowed to eat it. You are to regard it as something holy.
An hochheiligem Orte sollst du es essen, alles Männliche soll es essen; es soll dir heilig sein.
11 The following also belongs to you: the voluntary gifts as well as all the wave offerings of the Israelites. I have given this to you and your sons and daughters as a permanent rule. Everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean is allowed to eat it.
Und dies soll dir gehören: die Hebopfer ihrer Gaben, nach allen Webopfern der Kinder Israel; dir und deinen Söhnen und deinen Töchtern mit dir habe ich sie gegeben als eine ewige Gebühr; jeder Reine in deinem Hause soll es essen.
12 I am giving you all the best olive oil and all the best new wine and grain that the Israelites give as firstfruits to the Lord.
Alles Beste [Eig. Fett; so auch nachher und v 29. 30. 32] vom Öl und alles Beste vom Most und Getreide, ihre Erstlinge, die sie Jehova geben, dir habe ich sie gegeben.
13 The firstfruits of all the crops they produce in their land that they bring to the Lord are yours. Everyone in your family who is ceremonially clean is allowed to eat them.
Die ersten Früchte von allem, was in ihrem Lande wächst, die sie Jehova bringen, sollen dir gehören; jeder Reine in deinem Hause soll davon essen.
14 Everything in Israel that is dedicated to the Lord is yours.
Alles Verbannte [d. h. Geweihte. S. die Vorrede und 3. Mose 27,28] in Israel soll dir gehören.
15 Every firstborn, whether human or animal, that is offered to the Lord is yours. But you must buy back every firstborn son and every firstborn male of unclean animals.
Alles, was die Mutter bricht, von allem Fleische, das sie Jehova darbringen, an Menschen und an Vieh, soll dir gehören; nur sollst du den Erstgeborenen vom Menschen jedenfalls lösen, und das Erstgeborene vom unreinen Vieh sollst du lösen.
16 When they are one month old you shall pay the redemption price of five shekels of silver, (using the sanctuary shekel standard), equivalent to twenty gerahs.
Und die zu Lösenden unter ihnen sollst du von einem Monat an lösen, nach deiner Schätzung, um fünf Sekel Silber, nach dem Sekel des Heiligtums, der zwanzig Gera ist.
17 But you are not allowed to redeem the firstborn of an ox, a sheep, or a goat because they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and burn their fat as a burnt offering accepted by the Lord.
Aber das Erstgeborene vom Rinde oder das Erstgeborene von den Schafen oder das Erstgeborene von den Ziegen sollst du nicht lösen; sie sind heilig. Ihr Blut sollst du an den Altar sprengen, und ihr Fett sollst du als Feueropfer räuchern zum lieblichen Geruch für Jehova.
18 Their meat is yours, in the same way that the breast and right thigh of the wave offering are yours.
Und ihr Fleisch soll dir gehören; wie die Brust des Webopfers und wie der rechte Schenkel soll es dir gehören.
19 I am giving all the voluntary gifts that the Israelites present to the Lord to you and to your sons and daughters as a permanent rule. It is a permanent agreement of salt before the Lord for you and your descendants.”
Alle Hebopfer der heiligen Dinge, welche die Kinder Israel dem Jehova heben, habe ich dir gegeben, und deinen Söhnen und deinen Töchtern mit dir, als eine ewige Gebühr; es ist ein ewiger Salzbund vor Jehova für dich und für deinen Samen mit dir.
20 “You won't possess property in their country, and you won't have a share in their land. I am your share and your possession among the Israelites.
Und Jehova sprach zu Aaron: In ihrem Lande sollst du nichts erben und sollst kein Teil in ihrer Mitte haben; ich bin dein Teil und dein Erbe inmitten der Kinder Israel.
21 Instead I have given the Levites all the tithes in Israel as compensation for the service they provide in doing the work in the Tent of Meeting.
Und siehe, den Kindern Levi habe ich allen Zehnten in Israel zum Erbteil gegeben für ihren Dienst, den sie verrichten, den Dienst des Zeltes der Zusammenkunft.
22 The Israelites are no longer allowed to approach the Tent of Meeting, or they will commit an offense and die.
Und die Kinder Israel sollen nicht mehr dem Zelte der Zusammenkunft nahen, um Sünde auf sich zu laden, [Eig. Sünde zu tragen; so auch v 32] daß sie sterben;
23 The Levites are to carry out the work in the Tent of Meeting, and they must take responsibility for any sins involved. This is a permanent rule for all future generations. The Levites won't receive a share of land among the Israelites.
die Leviten vielmehr sollen [W. der Levit aber, er soll] den Dienst des Zeltes der Zusammenkunft verrichten, und sie sollen ihre Ungerechtigkeit tragen: eine ewige Satzung bei euren Geschlechtern. Aber inmitten der Kinder Israel sollen sie kein Erbteil besitzen;
24 Instead I have given to the Levites as their compensation the tithe that the Israelites give to the Lord as a contribution. That's why I told them that they wouldn't receive a share of land among the Israelites.”
denn den Zehnten der Kinder Israel, welchen sie Jehova als Hebopfer heben, habe ich den Leviten zum Erbteil gegeben; darum habe ich von ihnen gesagt, daß sie inmitten der Kinder Israel kein Erbteil besitzen sollen.
25 The Lord told Moses,
Und Jehova redete zu Mose und sprach:
26 “Talk to the Levites and explain to them, ‘When you receive from the Israelites the tithe that I have given you as your compensation, you must return part of it as an offering to the Lord: a tithe of the tithe.
Und zu den Leviten sollst du reden und zu ihnen sprechen: Wenn ihr von den Kindern Israel den Zehnten nehmet, den ich euch von ihnen als euer Erbteil gegeben habe, so sollt ihr davon ein Hebopfer für Jehova heben, den Zehnten von dem Zehnten.
27 Your offering will be considered as if it were the firstfruits of grain from your threshing floor or grape juice from the winepress.
Und euer Hebopfer wird euch gerechnet werden wie das Getreide von der Tenne und wie die Fülle von der Kelter.
28 In this way you are to contribute an offering to the Lord from every tithe you receive from the Israelites, giving the Lord's offering to Aaron the priest.
Also sollt auch ihr ein Hebopfer für Jehova heben von allen euren Zehnten, die ihr von den Kindern Israel nehmet, und davon das Hebopfer für Jehova Aaron, dem Priester, geben.
29 From all the gifts you receive you are to contribute as the Lord's offering the very best, the holiest part of every gift.’
Von allem euch Gegebenen sollt ihr alles Hebopfer Jehovas heben, von allem Besten desselben das Geheiligte davon.
30 So tell the Levites, ‘When you have presented the best part, it will be considered as your contribution produced by your threshing floor or winepress.
Und du sollst zu ihnen sagen: Wenn ihr das Beste davon hebet, so soll es den Leviten gerechnet werden wie der Ertrag der Tenne und wie der Ertrag der Kelter.
31 You and your families may eat it anywhere because it's compensation for your service in the Tent of Meeting.
Und ihr möget ihn [den Zehnten, nach Abhub des Hebopfers für Jehova] essen an jedem Orte, ihr und euer Haus; denn das ist euer Lohn für euren Dienst am Zelte der Zusammenkunft.
32 You will not be considered to have sinned if you have presented the best part of it. But if you treat the sacred offerings of the Israelites with disrespect you will die.’”
Und ihr werdet seinethalben keine Sünde auf euch laden, wenn ihr das Beste davon hebet, und werdet die heiligen Dinge der Kinder Israel nicht entweihen und nicht sterben.
