< Numbers 12 >

1 Miriam and Aaron were critical of Moses because of his Ethiopian wife—he'd married an Ethiopian woman.
Marie avèk Aaron te vin pale kont Moïse akoz fanm Koushit ke li te marye a; paske li te marye avèk yon fanm Koushit;
2 “Is it only through Moses that the Lord speaks?” they asked. “Doesn't he speak through us too?” The Lord heard all this.
Konsa, yo te di: “Èske SENYÈ a vrèman te pale sèlman ak Moïse? Èske Li pa t pale ak nou menm tou?” Epi SENYÈ a te tande sa.
3 Moses was a very humble man, more than anyone else on earth.
Alò, nonm Moïse la te trè enb, plis pase tout moun ki te sou sifas latè a.
4 All of a sudden the Lord called for Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, telling them, “The three of you, come to the Tent of Meeting.” The three of them did so.
Sibitman, SENYÈ a te di a Moïse ak Aaron avèk Marie: “Nou twa a, vin sòti nan tant asanble a”. Alò, yo twa a te sòti.
5 The Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood in the entrance to the Tent. He called Aaron and Miriam and they came forward.
Epi SENYÈ a te desann nan yon pilye nwaj. Li te kanpe nan pòtay tant asanble a, e Li te rele Aaron avèk Marie. Yo toude te vin avanse.
6 “Now listen to my words, he told them. If you had prophets, I the Lord would reveal myself to them in visions; I would communicate with them in dreams.
Li te di: “Koute pawòl Mwen koulye a: Si gen yon pwofèt pami nou, Mwen, SENYÈ a, Mwen va fè Mwen menm vin rekonèt a li menm nan yon vizyon. Mwen va pale avèk li nan yon rèv.
7 But it's not like this with my servant Moses, who of all my people is the one who is faithful.
Se pa konsa avèk sèvitè Mwen, Moïse. Li fidèl nan tout kay Mwen;
8 I talk to him personally, face to face. I speak plainly, not in riddles. He sees the likeness of the Lord. So why weren't you afraid when you criticized my servant Moses?”
Avèk li, Mwen pale bouch a bouch, byen klè, pa nan pawòl parabòl, epi li wè fòm SENYÈ a menm. Poukisa, konsa, nou pa t pè pou pale kont sèvitè Mwen an, kont Moïse?”
9 The Lord was angry with them, and he left.
Epi kòlè SENYÈ a te brile kont yo, e Li te pati.
10 As the cloud rose above the Tent, Miriam's skin suddenly turned white with leprosy. Aaron turned to look and saw that she had leprosy.
Lè nwaj la te kite tant lan, vwala, Marie te gen lalèp, blan tankou lanèj. Epi lè Aaron te gade, alò, Marie te gen lalèp.
11 He said to Moses, “My lord, please don't punish us for this sin that we've so stupidly committed.
Aaron te di Moïse: “O senyè Mwen an! Mwen mande ou souple, pa konte peche sa a kont nou, nan sila nou te aji avèk foli a, ak nan sila nou te peche a.
12 Please don't let her become like a stillborn baby whose flesh is already decaying when they're born!”
O Pa kite chè Marie rete kòm yon timoun ki fenk fèt mouri, ki sòti nan vant manman li avèk chè li mwatye manje!”
13 Moses called out to the Lord, “God, please heal her!”
Moïse te kriye fò bay SENYÈ a. Li te di: “O Bondye, geri li, mwen priye Ou!”
14 But the Lord replied to Moses, “If her father had spit in her face wouldn't she have been disgraced for seven days? Keep her in isolation outside the camp for seven days, and then she can be taken back in.”
Men SENYÈ a te reponn Moïse: “Si papa li te sèlman krache nan figi li, èske li pa t ap pote wont li pandan sèt jou? Kite li rete fèmen pandan sèt jou deyò kan an. Apre, l ap kapab rantre ankò.”
15 Miriam was kept in isolation outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was taken back in.
Konsa Marie te fèmen deyò kan an pandan sèt jou, e pèp la pa t deplase jiskaske Marie te vin rantre ankò.
16 Then the people left Hazeroth and set up camp in the Desert of Paran.
Apre sa a, pèp la te deplase kite Hatséroth pou te fè kan nan dezè Paran an.
