Nehemiah 7
1 Once the wall had been rebuilt and I had put up the doors, I appointed the gatekeepers, singers, and Levites.
A když byla dostavena zed, a zavěsil jsem vrata, a ustanoveni byli vrátní i zpěváci i Levítové,
2 I put my brother Hanani in charge of Jerusalem, together with Hananiah the commander of the fortress, because he was an honest man who respected God more than many others.
Poručil jsem Chananovi bratru svému, a Chananiášovi hejtmanu hradu Jeruzalémského, (proto že on byl muž věrný a bohabojný nad mnohé),
3 I told them, “Don't allow the gates of Jerusalem to be opened until the sun is hot, and make sure the guards shut and bolt the doors while they're still on duty. Appoint some of the residents of Jerusalem as guards, to be at their posts, standing in front of their own houses.”
A řekl jsem jim: Nechť nebývají otvírány brány Jeruzalémské, až obejde slunce, a když ti, jenž tu stávají, zavrou brány, vy ohledejte. A tak postavil jsem stráž z obyvatelů Jeruzalémských, každého v stráži jeho, a každého naproti domu jeho.
4 In those times the city was large with plenty of space, but there weren't many people in it, and the houses hadn't been rebuilt.
Město pak to bylo široké a veliké, ale lidu málo v ohradě jeho, a domové nebyli vystaveni.
5 My God encouraged me to have everyone—the nobles, the officials, and the people—all come to be registered according to their family genealogy. I found the genealogical register of those who had returned first. This what I discovered written there.
Protož dal mi to Bůh můj v srdce mé, že jsem shromáždil přednější, a knížata i lid, aby byli vyčteni podlé pořádku rodů. I nalezl jsem knihu o rodu těch, kteříž se byli prvé přestěhovali, a našel jsem v ní napsáno:
6 This is a list of the people of the province who returned from the captivity. These were the exiles who had been taken away to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, to their home towns.
Tito jsou lidé té krajiny, kteříž šli z zajetí a přestěhování toho, jakž je byl přestěhoval Nabuchodonozor král Babylonský, a navrátili se do Jeruzaléma a do Judstva, jeden každý do města svého.
7 They were led by Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah. This is the number of men of the people of Israel:
Kteříž přišli s Zorobábelem, s Jesua, s Nehemiášem, Azariášem, Raamiášem, Nachamanem, Mardocheem, Bilsanem, Misperetem, Bigvajem, Nechumem, Baanou, počet mužů z lidu Izraelského:
8 The sons of Parosh, 2,172;
Synů Farosových dva tisíce, sto sedmdesát dva;
9 the sons of Shephatiah, 372;
Synů Sefatiášových tři sta sedmdesát dva;
10 the sons of Arah, 652;
Synů Arachových šest set padesát dva;
11 the sons of Pahath-moab, (the sons of Jeshua and Joab), 2,818;
Synů Pachat Moábových, synů Jesua a Joábových, dva tisíce, osm set a osmnáct;
12 the sons of Elam, 1,254;
Synů Elamových tisíc, dvě stě padesát čtyři;
13 The sons of Zattu, 845;
Synů Zattuových osm set čtyřidceti pět;

39 This is the number of the priests: the sons of Jedaiah (through the family of Jeshua), 973;
Kněží: Synů Jedaiášových z domu Jesua devět set sedmdesát tři;

Synů Immerových tisíc, padesát dva;

Všech Netinejských a synů služebníků Šalomounových tři sta devadesát dva.
61 Those who came from the towns of Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Kerub, Addan, and Immer could not prove their family genealogy, or even that they were descendants of Israel.
Tito také byli, kteříž vyšli z Telmelach a Telcharsa: Cherub, Addon a Immer. Ale nemohli prokázati rodu otců svých a semene svého, že by z Izraele byli.
62 They included the families of Delaiah, Tobiah, and Nekoda, 642 in total.
Synů Delaiášových, synů Tobiášových, synů Nekodových šest set čtyřidceti dva.
63 In addition there three priestly families, sons of Hobaiah, Hakkoz, and Barzillai. (Barzillai had married a woman descended from Barzillai of Gilead, and he was called by that name.)
A z kněží: Synové Chabaiášovi, synové Kózovi, synové Barzillai toho, kterýž pojav sobě z dcer Barzillai Galádského manželku, nazván jest jménem jejich.
64 They searched for a record of them in the genealogies, but their names weren't found, so they were barred from serving as priests.
Ti vyhledávali jeden každý zapsání o sobě, chtíce prokázati rod svůj, ale nenašlo se. A protož zbaveni jsou kněžství.
65 The governor instructed them not to eat anything from the sanctuary sacrifices until a priest could ask the Lord about the issue by using the Urim and Thummim.
A zapověděl jim Tirsata, aby nejedli z věcí svatosvatých, dokudž by nestál kněz s urim a tumim.
66 The total of number of people returning was 42,360.
Všeho toho shromáždění pospolu čtyřidceti a dva tisíce, tři sta a šedesát,
67 In addition there were 7,337 servants and 245 male and female singers.
Kromě služebníků jejich a děvek jejich, jichž bylo sedm tisíc, tři sta třidceti sedm. A mezi nimi bylo zpěváků a zpěvakyní dvě stě čtyřidceti pět.
68 They had 736 horses, 245 mules,
Koní jejich sedm set třidceti šest, mezků jejich dvě stě čtyřidceti pět,
69 435 camels, and 6,720 donkeys.
Velbloudů čtyři sta třidceti pět, oslů šest tisíc, sedm set a dvadceti.
70 Some of the family leaders made voluntary contributions toward the work. The governor presented to the treasury 1,000 gold darics, 50 bowls and 530 sets of clothes for the priests.
Tehdy někteří z knížat čeledí otcovských dávali ku potřebám. Tirsata dal na poklad tisíc drachem zlata, bání padesát, sukní kněžských pět set a třidceti.
71 Some of the family leaders donated to the treasury for the work 20,000 darics of gold and 2,200 minas of silver.
Knížata také čeledí otcovských dali na poklad ku potřebám dvadceti tisíc drachem zlata, a stříbra liber dva tisíce a dvě stě.
72 The rest of the people donated 20,000 gold darics, 2,000 minas of silver, and 67 sets of clothes for the priests.
Což pak dali jiní z lidu, bylo zlata dvadcet tisíc drachem, a stříbra dva tisíce liber, a sukní kněžských šedesát sedm.
73 The priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, and Temple servants, as well as some of the people and the rest of the Israelites, went back to live in their specific towns. By the seventh month the Israelites were living in their towns,
A tak osadili se kněží a Levítové, a vrátní i zpěváci, lid a Netinejští, i všecken Izrael v městech svých. I nastal měsíc sedmý, a synové Izraelští byli v městech svých.
