< Micah 4 >
1 In the last days, the mountain where the Lord's Temple stands will be recognized as the highest of all mountains, rising above other hills. Crowds of people from many places will travel to it.
And it will be - at [the] end of the days it will be [the] mountain of [the] house of Yahweh established at [the] head of the mountains and it will be lifted up it more than [the] hills and they will stream to it peoples.
2 Many nations will come and say, “Let's go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the Temple of the God of Jacob. There God will teach us his ways and we will follow his directions.” God's teachings will spread out from Zion, his word from Jerusalem.
And they will come nations many and they will say come - so we may go up to [the] mountain of Yahweh and to [the] house of [the] God of Jacob so he may teach us from ways his so we may walk in paths his for from Zion it will go out instruction and [the] word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
3 The Lord will decide the cases of the nations, he will settle arguments between distant powerful nations. They will hammer their swords and turn them into plough blades, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nations will not fight against each other anymore; they will no longer learn methods of warfare.
And he will judge between peoples many and he will decide for nations mighty to far away and they will beat swords their into plowshares and spears their into pruning knives not they will lift up nation against nation a sword and not they will learn! again warfare.
4 Everyone will be able to sit under their own vine and their own fig tree, for there will be no one to make them afraid. I the Lord Almighty has spoken!
And they will dwell everyone under own vine his and under own fig tree his and there not [will be one who] terrifies for [the] mouth of Yahweh of hosts it has spoken.
5 Even though all the other nations follow their gods, we will follow the Lord our God forever and ever.
For all the peoples they walk everyone in [the] name of own god his and we we will walk in [the] name of Yahweh God our for ever and ever.
6 On that day, declares the Lord, I will gather those who are lame, I will bring together those who have been scattered in exile, those whom I punished.
In the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh I will gather the [one who is] lame and the [one who is] outcast I will assemble and [those] whom I have done harm to.
7 I will make those who remain, crippled and driven far away, into a strong nation, and the Lord will rule them from Mount Zion forever and ever.
And I will make the [one who was] lame into a remnant and the [one who was] straying into a nation mighty and he will reign Yahweh over them in [the] mountain of Zion from now and until perpetuity.
8 And as for you, Jerusalem, watchtower of the flock, your former royal rule and power will be returned to you: the kingdom will be given back to Jerusalem.
And you O Migdal Eder O hill of [the] daughter of Zion to you it will come and it will come the dominion former a kingdom to [the] daughter of Jerusalem.
9 So why are you screaming aloud? Don't you have a king? Has the king who advises you died so that pain has gripped you like a woman in childbirth?
Now why? do you shout shouting ¿ a king [is] there not in you or? counselor your has he perished that it has taken hold of you anguish like [woman] giving birth.
10 Thrash around in agony like a woman giving birth, people of Zion—for you will be expelled from the city, forced to camp out in the open, and exiled to Babylon. But the Lord will bring you back, and rescue you from the power of your enemies.
Writhe in pain and burst forth O daughter of Zion like [woman] giving birth for now you will go out from [the] town and you will dwell in the open country and you will go to Babylon there you will be delivered there he will redeem you Yahweh from [the] hand of enemies your.
11 Right now many enemies are gathered against you, saying, “Let us attack and violate her, so we can look with gloating over Zion!”
And now they have gathered on you nations many that are saying let her be polluted and let it look on Zion eyes our.
12 But they don't know what the Lord is thinking, and don't understand what he is planning. He has brought them together like bundles of grain to the threshing floor.
And they not they know [the] thoughts of Yahweh and not they understand counsel his that he has gathered them like cut grain [the] threshing floor towards.
13 People of Zion, get up and start threshing, for I will make for you iron horns and bronze hooves so you can break many nations into pieces. You will present their stolen plunder to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.
Arise and thresh O daughter of Zion for horn your I will make iron and hooves your I will make bronze and you will crush peoples many and I will dedicate to destruction to Yahweh unjust gain their and wealth their to [the] lord of all the earth.
