Matthew 14
1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard what Jesus was doing
୧ସେବେଲେ ଗାଲିଲି ଦେସର୍ ସାସନ୍ କାରିଆ ଏରଦ୍, ଜିସୁର୍ ବିସଇ ସୁନ୍ଲା ।
2 and he told his servants, “He must be John the Baptist resurrected from the dead, and that's why he has such powers!”
୨ସେ ତାର୍ଟାନେ କାମ୍ କର୍ବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ କଇଲା, “ସତଇସେ ଏ ଡୁବନ୍ ଦେଉ ଜଅନ୍ସେ । ସେ ଆରିତରେକ୍ ଜିବନ୍ ଅଇ ଉଟି ବାଉଡି ଆଇଲାଆଚେ । ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ତାର୍ଟାନେ କାବା ଅଇଜିବା କାମ୍ କର୍ବା ବପୁ ଆଚେ ।”
3 Herod had detained John, and had him put in chains and imprisoned on account of Herodias, the wife of Philip, his brother.
୩ଆର୍ ଆଗ୍ତୁ ଏରଦ୍ ଜଅନ୍କେ ବାନ୍ଦ୍ବାକେ ଆଦେସ୍ ଦେଇରଇଲା ଆରି ତାକେ ସିକିଲି ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ବାନ୍ଦି, ବନ୍ଦି ଗରେ ସଙ୍ଗଇରଇଲା । ତାର୍ ବାଇ, ପିଲିପର୍ ମାଇଜି ଏରଦିଆର୍ ଲାଗି, ସେ ଏନ୍ତି କରିରଇଲା ।
4 For John had told him, “It's not legal for you to marry her.”
୪ଜଅନ୍ ତାକେ କଇରଇଲା “ତମର୍ ବଉ ଏରଦିଆକେ ବିବା ଅଇବାଟା ତମର୍ ଟିକ୍ ଅଏନାଇ ।”
5 Herod wanted to kill John but he was afraid of the people's reaction for they considered John a prophet.
୫ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ଏରଦ୍ ଜଅନ୍କେ ମରାଇବାକେ ଜଜ୍ନା କର୍ତେରଇଲା, ମାତର୍ ସେ ଜିଉଦି ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡର୍ତେରଇଲା । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ଜିଉଦି ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଜଅନ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ବବିସତ୍ବକ୍ତା ବଲି ମାନ୍ତେରଇଲାଇ ।
6 However, on Herod's birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for the party, and Herod was delighted with her.
୬ମାତର୍ ଏରଦର୍ ଜନମ୍ ପୁର୍ତି ଦିନେ ଏରଦିଆର୍ ଟକି, ଡାକାଇରଇବା ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ମୁଆଟେ ନାଟ୍ କରିରଇଲା ।
7 So he promised with an oath to give her whatever she wanted.
୭ଏରଦ୍ ତାର୍ ଉପ୍ରେ ଏତେକ୍ ସାର୍ଦା ଅଇଲାଜେ, ସାର୍ଦା ଅଇ ପର୍ମାନ୍ ନିୟମ୍ କରି କଇଲା “ତୁଇ ଜାଇଟା ମାଙ୍ଗ୍ଲେ, ସେଟା ଦେବି!”
8 Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me here on a plate the head of John the Baptist.”
୮ତାର୍ ଆୟାର୍ କାତା ଦାରି ଟକି କଇଲା “ମକେ ଏବେଆକା ଡୁବନ୍ ଦେଉ ଜଅନର୍ ମୁଣ୍ଡ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ତାଲାଇ ସଙ୍ଗଇ କରି ଦିଆ ।”
9 Then the king regretted the promise he had made, but because of the oaths he'd made in front of his dinner guests, he gave the order to do it.
୯ଏଟା ସୁନିକରି ରାଜା ଦୁକ୍ ଅଇଗାଲା । ଏଲେମିସା ସବୁର୍ ମୁଆଟେ ନିଜେ ପର୍ମାନ୍ ନିୟମ୍ କରିରଇଲାଜେ ଟକିର୍ ମନ୍ କରିରଇବାଟା ପୁରୁନ୍ କର୍ବାକେ ଆଦେସ୍ ଦେଲା ।
10 The order was passed on and John was beheaded in prison.
୧୦ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ବନ୍ଦି ଗରେ ଜଅନର୍ ମୁଣ୍ଡ୍ କାଟା ଅଇଲା ।
11 John's head was brought on a plate and given to the girl, who took it to her mother.
୧୧ଗଟେକ୍ ତାଲାଟାନେ ମୁଣ୍ଡ୍ ସଙ୍ଗଇ ଟକିକେ ଦେଲାଇ । ସେ ସେଟା ନେଇକରି ତାର୍ ମାକେ ଦେଲା ।
12 John's disciples came and took the body, and buried him. Then they went and told Jesus.
୧୨ତାର୍ପଚେ ଜଅନର୍ ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ଆସି ମଲା ଗାଗଡ୍ ନେଇ ତପ୍ବାକେ ଦାରିଗାଲାଇ । ସେମନ୍ ଜାଇକରି ଜିସୁକେ ଏ ବିସଇ ଜାନାଇଲାଇ ।
13 When Jesus heard the news he went away by boat to a quiet place to be alone, but when the crowds learned where he was, they followed him on foot from the towns.
୧୩ଜିସୁ ଜଅନର୍ କବର୍ ସୁନ୍ଲା ଦାପ୍ରେ ଡଙ୍ଗାଇ ଚଗ୍ଲା ଆରି ଗଟେକ୍ କିନରା ଜାଗାଇ ଗାଲା । ତେଇ ସେ ଜିବାଟା ଜାନିକରି ଲଗର୍ ପାକର୍ ସଅରେ ଅନି କେତେକ୍ କେତେକ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଗାଡ୍ କଣ୍ଡିକଣ୍ଡି ଇଣ୍ଡି ଜିସୁର୍ ପଚେ ପଚେ ଗାଲାଇ ।
14 When Jesus got out of the boat and saw the huge crowds, he was full of sympathy for them, and healed their sick.
୧୪ଜେଡେବେଲେ ଜିସୁ ଡଙ୍ଗାଇଅନି ଉତ୍ରି ଏତେକ୍ମାଣ୍ଡ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଦେକ୍ଲା, ସେ ଦୟା କଲା । ତେଇ ଜେତ୍କି ରଗିମନ୍ ରଇଲାଇ, ସବୁକେ ନିକ କଲା ।
15 As evening came the disciples went up to him and said, “This place is miles from anywhere and it's getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”
୧୫ସେଦିନେ ସଞ୍ଜ୍ବେଲାଇ, ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ଆସି ତାକେ କଇଲାଇ, “ବେସି ଅଲ୍ସମ୍ ଅଇଗାଲାନି । ଆରି ଏଟା ଗଟେକ୍ କିନରା ଜାଗା, ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ କଇଦିଆସ୍, ସେମନ୍ ଗାଉଁମନ୍କେ ଜାଇ କାଦି ମିଲାଇବାଇ ।”
16 But Jesus told them, “They don't need to leave. You give them something to eat!”
୧୬ମାତର୍ ଜିସୁ ସେମନ୍କେ କଇଲା, “ସେମନ୍ ଇତିଅନି ନ ଜାଅତ୍ । ତମେ ସେମନ୍କେ କାଇଟାଆଲେ କାଇବାକେ ଦିଆସ୍ ।”
17 “All we have here are five loaves and a couple of fish,” they replied.
୧୭ସିସ୍ମନ୍ କଇଲାଇ, “ଆମର୍ ଟାନେ ଏକାଇ ପାଁଚ୍ଟା ରୁଟି ଆରି ଦୁଇଟା ମାଚ୍ସେ ଆଚେ ।”
18 “Bring them to me,” said Jesus.
୧୮ଜିସୁ କଇଲା, “ସେଟା ମର୍ଟାନେ ଦାରିଆସା ।”
19 He told the crowds to sit down on the grass. Then he took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven and blessed them. After that he broke the loaves into pieces and gave the bread to the disciples, and the disciples gave it to the crowds.
୧୯ଜିସୁ ସବୁଲକ୍କେ ଗାଁସ୍ ଉପ୍ରେ ବସାଇବାକେ କଇଲା । ସେ ପାଁଚ୍ଟା ରୁଟି ଆରି ଦୁଇଟା ମାଚ୍ ଦାରି ସରଗ୍ବାଟେ ଦେକି ପର୍ମେସର୍କେ ଦନିଅବାଦ୍ ଦେଲା, ଆରି ରୁଟି ବାଙ୍ଗାଇ କରି ସିସ୍ମନ୍କେ ଦେଲା । ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ସବୁଲକ୍କେ ବାଟାକରି ଦେଲାଇ ।
20 Everybody ate until they were full. Then they collected up the leftovers which filled twelve baskets.
୨୦ସେଟା ସବୁଲକ୍ କାଇକରି ସାନ୍ତି ଅଇଲାଇ । ତାର୍ପଚେ ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ଅଗ୍ଲି ରଇବା ରୁଟି ଆରି ମାଚ୍ ଟୁଲିଆଇ ବାର୍ଟା ଡାଲାଇ ବର୍ତି କଲାଇ ।
21 Some five thousand men ate the food, not counting women and children.
୨୧ତେଇ ମାଇଜିମନ୍ ଆରି ପିଲାମନ୍କେ ଚାଡି, ସେ କାଦି ପାଁଚ୍ ଅଜାର୍ ଲକ୍ କାଇରଇଲାଇ ।
22 Right after this he made the disciples get into the boat and go back to the other side of the lake while he sent the crowds on their way.
୨୨ତାର୍ପଚେ ଜିସୁ ସିସ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡଙ୍ଗାଇ ବସାଇ ଗାଡ୍ ସେପାଟେ ଜିବାକେ କଇଲା । ସେ ନିଜେ ପଚେ ରଇଜାଇକରି ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ପାଟାଇତେ ରଇଲା ।
23 After he'd sent the crowds away, he went up into the mountains to pray. Evening came and he was there all alone.
୨୩ସେ ଏକ୍ଲାସେ ପାର୍ତନା କର୍ବାକେ ଗଟେକ୍ ଡଙ୍ଗର୍ ଉପ୍ରେ ଗାଲା ଆରି ସଞ୍ଜ୍ ଅଇବା ଜାକ ଜିସୁ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ସେ ତେଇ ରଇଲା ।
24 By now the boat was a long way out from land, being pounded by the waves because the wind was blowing against it.
୨୪ସେଡ୍କି ବେଲେ ଡଙ୍ଗା କଣ୍ଡିଅନି ବେସି ଦୁର୍ ଗାଡ୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଉଟିଜାଇରଇଲା । ଆରି ଜବର୍ ପବନ୍ କଲାଜେ, ଲଅଡି ଟଲ୍ମଲି ଜାଇତେରଇଲା ।
25 About 3 a.m. Jesus caught up with them, walking on the sea.
୨୫କୁକ୍ଡା ଡାକେ, ଏଦେ ଦେକା! ଜିସୁ ପାନି ଉପ୍ରେ ଇଣ୍ଡି ଇଣ୍ଡି ସିସ୍ମନର୍ ଲଗେ ଆଇଲା ।
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified. They screamed out in fear, “It's a ghost!”
୨୬ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ତାକେ ଦେକି କିଲ୍ବିଲ୍ ଅଇଗାଲାଇ । ଡରର୍ମାଡେ ଡୁମା ବଲି କିର୍କିର୍ଲାଇ ।
27 But immediately Jesus said to them, “Don't worry, it's me! Don't be afraid!”
୨୭ସେ ଦାପ୍ରେସେ ଜିସୁ ସେମନ୍କେ ସାଆସ୍ ଦେଇ କଇଲା, “ମୁଇ କାଇକି, ଡରାନାଇ ।”
28 “Lord, if it's really you, tell me to come over to you, walking on the water,” Peter replied.
୨୮ଜିସୁର୍ ଏ କାତା ସୁନି ପିତର୍ କଇଲା, “ମାପ୍ରୁ ଜଦି ସତଇସେ ତମେ ଅଇରଇସା ବଇଲେ, ମକେ ପାନି ଉପ୍ରେ ଇଣ୍ଡି ଇଣ୍ଡି ତମର୍ ଲଗେ ଆଇବାକେ ଆଦେସ୍ ଦିଆ ।”
29 “Come on then,” said Jesus. Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water towards Jesus.
୨୯ଜିସୁ କଇଲା, “ଇଣ୍ଡି ଇଣ୍ଡି ଆଉ ।” ପିତର୍ ଡଙ୍ଗାଇଅନି ବାରଇ, ପାନି ଉପ୍ରେ ଇଣ୍ଡି ଇଣ୍ଡି ଜିସୁର୍ ବାଟେ ଆଇବାର୍ ଦାର୍ଲା ।
30 But when he saw how strong the wind was, he became scared, and started to sink. “Lord! Save me!” he cried out.
୩୦ମାତର୍ ପବନ୍ ଜବର୍ ଆଇବାଟା ଦେକିକରି ଡରିଗାଲା ଆରି ପାନିଟାନେ ବୁଡିଜିବାର୍ ଦାର୍ଲା । ତେବେ ଆକ୍ମାରି କରି ଡାକ୍ଲା ଏ ମାପ୍ରୁ ମକେ ରକିଆ କର୍!
31 Immediately Jesus reached out and grabbed hold of him, and said, “You have such little trust in me. Why did you doubt?”
୩୧ଜିସୁ ସେ ଦାପ୍ରେ, ଆତ୍ ଲାମାଇକରି ତାକେ ଦାରିକରି କଇଲା, “ଏ ଅଲପ୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କରୁ, କାଇକେ ଦୁଇମନିଆ ଅଇଲୁସ୍ନି?”
32 When they got into the boat, the wind died down,
୩୨ମାତର୍ ସେମନ୍ ଡଙ୍ଗାଇ ଚଗ୍ଲାକେ ପବନ୍ ବନ୍ଦ୍ଅଇ ଗାଲା ।
33 and those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “You really are the Son of God!”
୩୩ଡଙ୍ଗାଇ ରଇଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଜିସୁକେ ଜୁଆର୍ କରି କଇଲାଇ, “ତମେ ସତ୍ସେ ମାପ୍ରୁର୍ ପିଲା ।”
34 After crossing the lake they arrived at Gennesaret.
୩୪ଜିସୁ ଆରି ତାର୍ ସିସ୍ମନ୍ ଗାଡ୍ଲଙ୍ଗିକରି ଗିନେସରତ୍ ଜାଗାଇ କେଟ୍ଲାଇ ।
35 When the people there realized Jesus was there, they let everyone in the whole area know. They brought all who were sick to him,
୩୫ଆରି ତେଇର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଜିସୁକେ ଚିନିକରି ଲଗେ ପାକେ ରଇବା ଚାରିବେଡ୍ତିର୍ ସବୁ ଜାଗାଇ କବର୍ ପାଟାଇଲାଇ ଆରି ରଗି ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ତାର୍ ଲଗେ ଆନ୍ଲାଇ ।
36 and pleaded with him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak. Everyone that touched him was healed.
୩୬ରଗିମନ୍ ଜିସୁର୍ ପିନ୍ଦ୍ଲା ଲୁଗାର୍ ଜାଲି ଚିଇବାକେ, ଆଦେସ୍ ଦେବାକେ, ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ତାକେ ବାବୁଜିଆକରି କଇଲାଇ । ମାତର୍ ଜେତେକ୍ଲକ୍ ସେଟା ଚିଇଲାଇ, ସବୁଲକ୍ ନିକଅଇଲାଇ ।
