Matthew 13
1 Later that day Jesus left the house, and sat down to teach beside the lake.

2 So many people gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down there to teach, while all the crowds stood on the beach.

3 He explained many things to them, using stories as illustrations. “The sower went out to sow,” he began.
Ofii ase kyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔn wɔ mmebu mu se, “Da bi okuafo bi kɔɔ nʼafum koguu aba.
4 “As he was sowing, some of the seeds fell on the path. The birds came and ate them up.
Ogu so regu no, aba no bi guu ɔkwan mu maa nnomaa bɛsosɔw ne nyinaa.
5 Other seeds fell on stony ground where there wasn't much earth where they sprouted quickly.
Bi nso koguu ɔbotan so. Ankyɛ na aba no fifii.
6 The sun rose and scorched them and they withered because they had no roots.
Esiane sɛ na dɔte a ɛwɔ ɔbotan no so sua no nti, owia bɔɔ so no, ne nyinaa hyewee.
7 Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked them.
Aba no bi nso guu nsɔe mu, na nsɔe no nyin no emiaa no.
8 Still other seeds fell on good soil. They produced a harvest—some one hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times what had been planted.
Aba no bi guu asase pa mu. Enyin, sow aba mmɔho aduasa; bi aduosia na afoforo nso ɔha.
9 Anybody who has ears should be listening!”
Nea ɔwɔ aso no, ma ontie!”
10 The disciples came to Jesus and asked him, “Why do you use illustrations when you speak to the people?”
Owiee ne nkyerɛkyerɛ no, nʼasuafo no baa ne nkyɛn bebisaa no se, “Adɛn na daa wonam mmebu so kasa kyerɛ nnipa no?”
11 “You're privileged to have revealed to you the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but they're not given such insights,” Jesus replied.
Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Mo de, wɔde Ɔsoro Ahenni ho ahintasɛm ama mo na wɔn de, wɔmmfa mmaa wɔn ɛ.
12 “Those who already have will have more given to them, more than enough. But those who don't have, whatever they have will be taken away from them.
Nea ɔwɔ biribi no, wɔbɛma no bi aka ho na wanya ama abu no so. Na nea onni ahe bi no, kakra a ɔwɔ no mpo, wobegye afi ne nsam.
13 That's why I speak to them in illustrations. For even though they see, they do not see; and even though they hear, they do not hear; nor do they understand.
Nea enti a ɛma mekasa kyerɛ wɔn mmebu mu no ne sɛ, “Wohu de, nanso wonhu; wɔte de, na wɔnte ase.
14 The prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled in them: ‘Even though you hear, you won't understand, and even though you see, you won't perceive.
Wɔn so na ɛnam ama Yesaia nkɔm a ɔhyɛe se, “‘Ɔte de, mobɛte, nanso morente ase; ohu de, mubehu, nanso morenhu no, aba mu.
15 They have a hard-hearted attitude, they don't want to listen, and they've closed their eyes. If they didn't they might be able to see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand in their minds. Then they could return to me and I would heal them.’
Efisɛ ɔman yi koma apirim. Wɔyɛ asoɔden; wɔakatakata wɔn ani. Sɛ ɛnte saa a anka wɔn ani behu ade, na wɔn aso ate asɛm na wɔn koma ate asɛm ase, na wɔanu wɔn ho asan aba me nkyɛn na masa wɔn yare.’
16 Your eyes are blessed, for they see. Your ears are blessed too, for they hear.
Na mo de, wɔahyira mo ani efisɛ ehu ade; wɔahyira mo aso efisɛ ɛte asɛm.
17 I'm telling you, many prophets and good people longed to see what you're seeing, but didn't see it. They longed to hear what you're hearing, but didn't hear it.
Na me de, mereka akyerɛ mo se, adiyifo ne atreneefo pii pɛɛ sɛ wohu nea muhu no, nanso wɔanhu. Wɔpɛɛ sɛ wɔte nea mote no, nanso wɔante.
18 So listen to the story of the sower.
“Afei muntie bɛ a ɛfa ogufo a okoguu aba wɔ nʼafum no no nkyerɛase.
19 When people hear the message about the kingdom and don't understand it, the evil one comes along and rips out what was sown in them. This is what happens to the seeds sown on the path.
Wɔn a wotie Onyankopɔn asɛm no, na wɔnte ase no te sɛ aba a eguu ɔkwan mu no. Ɔbɔnefo no ba, behwim nea wɔadua wɔ wɔn koma mu no.
20 The seeds sown on stony ground are people who hear the message and happily accept it straight away.
Aba a eguu ɔbotan so no gyina hɔ ma wɔn a wɔte asɛm no, na wɔde anigye so mu.
21 They last for a while, but because they don't have roots, when problems and troubles come, they quickly fall away.
Nanso asɛm no nnyina wɔ wɔn mu. Eyi nti ɛnkyɛ na asɛm no awu. Esiane sɛ asɛm no awu nti, sɛ ɔhaw anaa ɔtaa bi ba a, wɔpa abaw.
22 The seeds sown among thorns are people who hear the message, but then life's worries and the temptation of money choke the message so that they become fruitless. (aiōn g165)
Aba a eguu nsɔe mu no gyina hɔ ma wɔn a wotie asɛm no, nanso wiase yi mu abrabɔ mu haw ne agyapade ho dadwen nti ɛmma asɛm no ntumi nyɛ wɔn mu adwuma. (aiōn g165)
23 The seeds sown on good soil are people who hear the message, and understand it, and who produce a good harvest—some one hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times what was sown.”

24 Then he told them another illustrated story: “The kingdom of heaven is like a farmer who sowed good seeds in his field.

25 But while his workers were sleeping, an enemy came and sowed weed seeds on top of the wheat. Then they left.

26 So when the wheat grew and produced ears of grain, the weeds also grew up.
Aburow no renyin no, na nwura no nso renyin.
27 The farmer's workers came and asked him, ‘Sir, didn't you sow good seeds in your field? Where did the weeds come from?’
“Okuafo no apaafo bɛka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Owura, aburow a wuduae no, nwura bi afifi wɔ ase!’
28 ‘Some enemy has done this,’ he replied. ‘Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?’ they asked him.
“Okuafo no buae se, ‘Ɔtamfo bi na oduae!’ “Apaafo no bisaa no se, ‘Wopɛ sɛ yekotutu saa nwura no ana?’
29 ‘No,’ he answered, ‘as you pull up the weeds, you might uproot the wheat too.
“Obuaa wɔn se, ‘Dabi da!’ Anyɛ a na moatutu aburow no bi afra nwura no.
30 Let them both grow until harvest, and then at harvest-time I'll tell the reapers to first gather the weeds, tie them up into bundles and burn them, and then gather the wheat and store it in my barn.’”
Momma ne nyinaa nyin nkosi twabere na mama atwafo ayiyi nwura no afi aburow no mu ahyew no, na wɔde aburow no nso agu asan so.”
31 He gave them another illustration: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a farmer sowed in his field.
Yesu buu wɔn bɛ foforo se, “Ɔsoro Ahenni te sɛ onyaa aba ketewa bi a obi duaa wɔ nʼafum.
32 Even though it's the tiniest of seeds it grows much bigger than other plants. In fact it grows into a tree big enough for birds to roost in its branches.”
Ɛyɛ aba ketewaa bi, nanso sɛ enyin a, ɛyɛ dutan kɛse ma nnomaa kosisi ne mman so.”
33 He told them another illustrated story: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman mixed with a large quantity of flour, until all the dough was raised.”
Obuu wɔn bɛ foforo se, “Ɔsoro Ahenni te sɛ mmɔkaw bi a brodotofo de fɔtɔw mmɔre ma etu.”
34 Jesus explained all these things to the crowds using illustrated stories—in fact he didn't speak to them without using stories.
Yesu nam mmebu so ɔkasa kyerɛɛ nnipadɔm no.
35 This fulfilled the prophet's words: “I will speak using stories, and I will explain things hidden from the creation of the world.”
Enti ɔhyɛɛ nea adiyifo no ahyɛ ho nkɔm no mma se: “Mɛkasa mmebu mu, na maka anwonwade mu ahintasɛm a efi adebɔ mfiase.”
36 Then he left the crowds and went into a house. His disciples came over to him, and asked him, “Please explain to us the story about the weeds in the field.”
Afei Yesu fii nnipadɔm no nkyɛn kɔɔ fie. Nʼasuafo no baa ne nkyɛn bɛka kyerɛɛ no se ɔnkyerɛ wɔn bɛ a ɛfa nwura ne aburow ho no ase.
37 “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of man,” Jesus explained.
Yesu buaa wɔn se, “Me Onipa Ba no, mene okuafo a oduaa aburow no.
38 “The field is the world. The good seeds are the children of the kingdom. The weed seeds are the children of the evil one.
Afuw no ne wiase, na aburow no nso gyina hɔ ma wɔn a wɔyɛ Ahenni no mma; nwura no nso gyina hɔ ma wɔn a wɔyɛ ɔbonsam mma.
39 The enemy that sowed the weed seeds is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world. The reapers are angels. (aiōn g165)

“Sɛnea asɛnka no mu, wotutuu nwura no fii aburow no mu kɔhyew no no, saa ara na ɛbɛyɛ wɔ wiase awiei. (aiōn g165)
41 The Son of man will send out his angels, and they will gather up every sinful thing and everyone who does evil,
Onipa Ba no bɛsoma nʼabɔfo, na wɔabɛboaboa wɔn a wɔpɛ bɔne, nsɛmmɔnedifo nyinaa ano afi Ahenni no mu,
42 and will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
na wɔatow wɔn agu ogyatannaa no mu, ahyew wɔn. Ɛhɔ na osu ne setwɛre wɔ.
43 Then those who live right will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their father. Anybody with ears should be listening!
Na atreneefo no bɛhyerɛn sɛ owia wɔ wɔn Agya Ahenni no mu. Nea ɔwɔ aso no, ma ontie!”
44 The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. A man found it, reburied it, and then full of joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
Yesu toaa mmebu no so se, “Ɔsoro Ahenni no te sɛ ademude bi a obi kohuu wɔ afuw bi mu. Ɔkataa so, na ɔde ahopere kɔtɔn nʼahode nyinaa, de kɔtɔɔ afuw no.
45 The kingdom of heaven is also like a trader looking for good pearls.
“Bio, Ɔsoro Ahenni te sɛ obi a odi nhene pa ho gua a ɔrehwehwɛ nhene pa atɔ.
46 When he found the most expensive pearl ever he went and sold all he had and bought it.
Okonyaa bi a ɛyɛ fɛ mmoroso, enti ɔkɔtɔn nʼahode nyinaa de kɔtɔe!”
47 Once more, the kingdom of heaven is like a fishing net thrown into the sea that caught all kinds of fish.
Yesu toaa so bio se, “Ɔsoro Ahenni no te sɛ obi a okoguu asau wɔ asu bi mu yii nsumnam ahorow bebree.
48 When it was full it was dragged ashore. The good fish were put into baskets while the bad ones were thrown away.
Asau no yɛɛ ma no, ɔtwe baa konkɔn so. Afei ɔtenaa ase yiyii nam pa no guu kɛntɛn mu na ɔtow nea enye no gui.
49 That's the way it will be when the end of the world comes. The angels will go out and separate the evil people from the good, (aiōn g165)
Saa ara na wiase awiei bɛyɛ. Abɔfo no bɛba abɛpaw abɔnefo no afi atreneefo no mu, (aiōn g165)
50 and throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

51 Now do you understood everything?” “Yes,” they replied.
“Mote ase?” Nʼasuafo no buaa no se, “Yiw.”
52 “Every religious teacher who's learned about the kingdom of heaven is like a house-owner who brings out from his storeroom both new and old treasures,” Jesus said.
Yesu toaa ne nkyerɛkyerɛ no so se, “Kyerɛwsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfo a wɔabɛyɛ mʼasuafo no te sɛ ofiwura a wada nʼagyapade foforo ne dedaw nyinaa adi.”
53 After Jesus finished telling these stories, he left.

54 He went back to his home town and taught in the synagogue there. People were amazed, and asked, “Where does he get his wisdom and miracles from?
Ɔkɔɔ ne kurom Nasaret. Ɔkyerɛkyerɛɛ wɔ hyiadan mu maa wɔn a wotiee no no ho dwiriw wɔn. Wobisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho se, “Ɛhe na saa ɔbarima yi konyaa nyansa a ɔde yɛ anwonwade sɛɛ yi?
55 Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and his brothers James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
Ɛnyɛ dua dwumfo no ba no ni? Ɛnyɛ ne na ne Maria? Ɛnyɛ ne nua barimanom ne Yakobo ne Yosef ne Simon ne Yuda?
56 Don't his sisters live here among us? So where does he get all this from?”
Ɛnyɛ yɛne ne nuabeanom na ɛte ha? Na afei ɛhe na okonyaa eyinom nyinaa yi?”
57 And so they refused to believe in him. “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his homeland and in his family,” Jesus told them.
Wɔn bo fuw no. Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Odiyifo wɔ anuonyam baabiara, gye ne man mu anaa ne nkurɔfo mu!”
58 Since they failed to trust in him, he did not do many miracles there.
