Matthew 12
1 Around that time Jesus was walking through fields of grain on the Sabbath day. His disciples were hungry so they started to pick ears of grain and eat them.
शब्बाथ पर येशु और उनके शिष्य अन्न के खेतों में से होकर जा रहे थे. उनके शिष्यों को भूख लग गई और वे बालें तोड़कर खाने लगे.
2 When the Pharisees saw this they said to Jesus, “Look at your disciples—they're doing what isn't allowed on the Sabbath!”
यह देख फ़रीसियों ने आपत्ति उठाई, “देख लो, तुम्हारे शिष्य वह कर रहे हैं जो शब्बाथ संबंधित व्यवस्था के अनुसार गलत है.”
3 But Jesus told them, “Haven't you read what David did when he and his men were hungry?
इस पर येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “क्या आप लोगों ने उस घटना के विषय में नहीं पढ़ा जिसमें भूख लगने पर दावीद और उनके साथियों ने क्या किया था?
4 He went into the house of God, and he and his men ate the sacred bread that they weren't allowed to eat since it's only for the priests.
कैसे उन्होंने परमेश्वर के भवन में प्रवेश किया और दावीद और उनके साथियों ने भेंट की वह रोटी खाई, जिसे पुरोहितों के अलावा किसी का भी खाना व्यवस्था के अनुसार न था?
5 Haven't you read in the law that on the Sabbath day the priests in the Temple break the Sabbath but are not considered guilty?
या क्या आप लोगों ने व्यवस्था में यह नहीं पढ़ा कि मंदिर में सेवारत पुरोहित शब्बाथ की व्यवस्था का उल्लंघन करने पर भी निर्दोष ही रहते हैं?
6 However, I tell you that someone is here who is greater than the Temple!
किंतु मैं तुम्हें बता रहा हूं कि यहां वह है, जो मंदिर से बढ़कर है.
7 If you'd known the meaning of this Scripture, ‘I want mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you wouldn't have condemned an innocent man.
वस्तुतः तुमने यदि इस बात का अर्थ समझा होता: ‘मैं बलि की नहीं परंतु दया की कामना करता हूं,’ तो तुमने इन निर्दोषों पर आरोप न लगाया होता.
8 For the Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
क्योंकि मनुष्य का पुत्र शब्बाथ का स्वामी है.”
9 Then Jesus left and went into their synagogue.
वहां से चलकर येशु यहूदी सभागृह में गए.
10 A man was there with a crippled hand. “Does the law allow healing on the Sabbath?” they asked him, looking for a reason to accuse him.
वहां एक व्यक्ति था, जिसका हाथ लक़वा मारा हुआ था. उन्होंने येशु से प्रश्न किया, “क्या शब्बाथ पर किसी को स्वस्थ करना व्यवस्था के अनुसार है?” उन्होंने यह प्रश्न इसलिये किया कि वे येशु पर आरोप लगा सकें.
11 “Suppose you have a sheep and it falls into a hole in the ground on the Sabbath. Don't you grab hold of it and pull it out?” Jesus asked them.
येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “तुममें कौन ऐसा व्यक्ति है जिसके पास एक भेड़ है और यदि वह भेड़ शब्बाथ पर गड्ढे में गिर जाए तो वह उसे हाथ बढ़ाकर बाहर न निकाले?
12 “Don't you think a human being is worth much more than a sheep? So yes, you are allowed to do good on the Sabbath.”
एक भेड़ की तुलना में मनुष्य कितना अधिक कीमती है! इसलिये शब्बाथ पर किया गया भला काम व्यवस्था के अनुसार होता है.”
13 Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” The man held out his hand, and it was healed, just as healthy as the other hand.
तब येशु ने उस व्यक्ति को आज्ञा दी, “अपना हाथ आगे बढ़ाओ!” उसने हाथ आगे बढ़ाया—वह हाथ दूसरे हाथ के जैसा स्वस्थ हो गया था.
14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how to kill Jesus.
इसलिये फ़रीसी बाहर चले गए तथा येशु की हत्या का षड़्यंत्र रचने लगे.
15 Knowing this, Jesus left, with large crowds following him. He healed all of them,
येशु को इसका अहसास था इसलिये वह वहां से चले गए. अनेक थे, जो उनके साथ उनके पीछे-पीछे चल रहे थे. येशु ने उनमें से सभी रोगियों को स्वस्थ कर दिया
16 but instructed them not to tell people who he was.
और उन्हें चेतावनी दी कि इस विषय में वे किसी से वर्णन न करें कि वह कौन हैं.
17 This fulfilled what Isaiah the prophet said:
यह भविष्यवक्ता यशायाह द्वारा की गई इस भविष्यवाणी की पूर्ति थी:
18 “This is my servant whom I've chosen, The one I love, who pleases me. I will put my Spirit on him, And he will tell the foreigners what's right.
यही है मेरा चुना हुआ सेवक, मेरा प्रिय पात्र, जिसमें मेरे प्राण को पूरा संतोष है. मैं उसे अपने आत्मा से भरा करूंगा और वह गैर-यहूदियों में न्याय की घोषणा करेगा.
19 He won't argue, he won't shout out, And nobody will hear his voice in the streets.
वह न तो विवाद करेगा, न ऊंचे शब्द में कुछ कहेगा और न ही गलियों में कोई उसका शब्द सुन सकेगा.
20 He won't break a damaged reed, And he won't extinguish a smoking wick, Until he has proved that his judgment is right,
कुचले हुए नरकट को वह तोड़ न फेंकेगा, और न ही वह टिमटिमाती बाती को बुझा देगा, जब तक वह न्याय को विजय तक न पहुंचा दे.
21 And foreigners will put their hope in him.”
उसकी प्रतिष्ठा में गैर-यहूदियों के लिए आशा होगी.
22 Then a man was brought to Jesus who was demon-possessed and blind and dumb. Jesus healed him, so that the dumb man could speak and see.
तब येशु के सामने एक ऐसा व्यक्ति लाया गया, जो दुष्टात्मा से पीड़ित था, वह अंधा तथा गूंगा था. येशु ने उसे स्वस्थ कर दिया. परिणामस्वरूप वह व्यक्ति बातें करने और देखने लगा.
23 All the crowds were amazed, and asked, “Could this really be the son of David?”
सभी भीड़ चकित रह गई. मौज़ूद लोग आपस में विचार कर रहे थे, “कहीं यही दावीद का वह वंशज तो नहीं?”
24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they replied, “This man can only throw out demons through the power of Beelzebub, the chief of demons!”
किंतु यह सुनकर फ़रीसियों ने इसके विषय में अपना मत दिया, “यह व्यक्ति केवल दुष्टात्माओं के प्रधान बेलज़बूल की सहायता से दुष्टात्माओं को निकाला करता है.”
25 Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus told them, “Any kingdom that is divided against itself will be destroyed. No town or household that is divided against itself can stand.
उनके विचारों के विषय में मालूम होने पर येशु ने उनसे कहा, “कोई भी ऐसा राज्य, जिसमें फूट पड़ी हो, मिट जाता है. कोई भी नगर या परिवार फूट की स्थिति में स्थिर नहीं रह पाता.
26 If Satan drives out Satan, then he's divided against himself—so how could his kingdom stand?
यदि शैतान ही शैतान को बाहर निकाला करे तो वह अपना ही विरोधी हो जाएगा, तब भला उसका शासन स्थिर कैसे रह सकेगा?
27 If I'm throwing out demons in the name of Beelzebub, in whose name are your people throwing out demons? Your own people prove you're wrong!
यदि मैं दुष्टात्माओं को बेलज़बूल के सहयोग से बाहर निकाला करता हूं तो फिर तुम्हारे लोग उनको कैसे बाहर करती है? परिणामस्वरूप वे ही तुम पर आरोप लगाएंगे.
28 But if I'm throwing out demons through the power of the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you!
परंतु यदि मैं दुष्टात्माओं को परमेश्वर के आत्मा के द्वारा बाहर कर रहा हूं तो यह साबित हो गया है कि तुम्हारे बीच परमेश्वर का राज्य आ चुका है.
29 Can you enter a strong man's house and take his belongings unless you tie him up first? If you do that then you can take everything in his house.
“क्या, यह संभव है कि कोई किसी बलवान व्यक्ति के घर में प्रवेश कर उसकी संपत्ति लूट ले? हां, यदि बलवान व्यक्ति को पहले बांध दिया जाए, तब उसकी संपत्ति को लूट लेना संभव है.
30 Those who are not with me are against me, and those who do not gather together with me do the opposite: they are scattering.
“वह, जो मेरे पक्ष में नहीं, मेरे विरुद्ध है और वह, जो मेरे साथ इकट्ठा नहीं करता, वह बिखेरता है.
31 That's why I'm telling you that every sin and blasphemy you commit will be forgiven, except blasphemy against the Spirit which won't be forgiven.
इसलिये तुमसे मेरा कहना यही है: लोगों द्वारा किया गया कोई भी पाप, कोई भी परमेश्वर-निंदा क्षमा के योग्य है किंतु पवित्र आत्मा की निंदा क्षमा नहीं की जाएगी.
32 Those who say something against the Son of man will be forgiven, but those who say something against the Holy Spirit won't be forgiven, neither in this life nor the next. (aiōn g165)
यदि कोई मनुष्य के पुत्र के विरुद्ध कुछ कहे, उसे क्षमा कर दिया जाएगा किंतु यदि कोई पवित्र आत्मा की निंदा में कुछ कहता है, तो उसे क्षमा नहीं किया जाएगा—न तो इस युग में और न ही आनेवाले युग में. (aiōn g165)
33 Either decide that the tree is good, and its fruit is good, or decide that the tree is bad and its fruit is bad—for the tree is known by its fruit.
“यदि पेड़ अच्छा है तो फल भी अच्छा ही होगा और यदि पेड़ अच्छा नहीं है तो उसका फल भी अच्छा नहीं होगा. पेड़ अपने फल से पहचाना जाता है.
34 You viper's brood, how can you who are evil say anything good? For your mouth simply says what your mind is busy thinking about.
अरे तुम! तुम, जो विषैले सांप की संतान हो, भला तुम्हारे बुरे होने पर तुम्हारे मुख से अच्छी बातें कैसे निकल सकती हैं? क्योंकि मुख से वही मुखरित होता है जो हृदय में भरा होता है.
35 A good person brings out good from their store of good things, and an evil person brings out evil from their store of evil things.
भला व्यक्ति स्वयं में भरे हुए उत्तम भंडार में से उत्तम ही निकालता है तथा बुरा व्यक्ति स्वयं में भरे हुए बुरे भंडार में से बुरा.
36 I tell you, people will have to account for every careless thing they say on the Day of Judgment.
तुम पर मैं यह स्पष्ट कर रहा हूं: हर एक व्यक्ति न्याय-दिवस पर अपने निराधार शब्दों का हिसाब देगा;
37 For what you say will either vindicate you or condemn you.”
क्योंकि अपने शब्दों के द्वारा ही तुम निर्दोष या दंडित घोषित किए जाओगे.”
38 Then some of the religious teachers and Pharisees came to him and said, “Teacher, we want you to show us a miraculous sign.”
कुछ शास्त्रियों और फ़रीसियों ने येशु से विनती की, “गुरुवर, हम आपसे कोई अद्भुत चिह्न देखना चाहते हैं.”
39 “Evil people who don't trust in God are the ones who look for a miraculous sign. The only sign they will be given is the sign of the prophet Jonah,” Jesus told them.
येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “यह दुष्ट तथा परमेश्वर के प्रति निष्ठाहीन पीढ़ी अद्भुत चिह्न की लालसा करती है, फिर भी इसे भविष्यवक्ता योनाह के चिह्न के अतिरिक्त कोई भी चिह्न नहीं दिया जाएगा.
40 “In the same way Jonah was in the belly of a huge fish for three days and three nights, the Son of man will lie in the earth for three days and three nights.
ठीक जैसे भविष्यवक्ता योनाह तीन दिन और तीन रात विशालकाय जल जंतु के पेट में रहे, मनुष्य का पुत्र भी तीन दिन और तीन रात भूमि के भीतर रहेगा.
41 The people of Nineveh will rise in the judgment together with this generation and they will condemn it because they repented in response to Jonah's message—and as you see, there's someone greater than Jonah here!
न्याय-दिवस पर नीनवे नगर की जनता इस पीढ़ी के साथ उपस्थित होगी और इसे धिक्कारेगी क्योंकि उसने तो भविष्यवक्ता योनाह के प्रचार के परिणामस्वरूप पश्चाताप कर लिया, किंतु यहां तो वह है, जो भविष्यवक्ता योनाह से भी बढ़कर है.
42 The Queen of the South will be raised in the judgment together with this generation and will condemn it because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon—and as you see, there's someone greater than Solomon here!
न्याय-दिवस पर दक्षिण की रानी इस पीढ़ी के साथ खड़ी होगी और इसे धिक्कारेगी क्योंकि वह पृथ्वी के छोर से यात्रा कर राजा शलोमोन के ज्ञान को सुनने आई थी; किंतु यहां तो वह है, जो राजा शलोमोन से भी बढ़कर है.
43 When an evil spirit leaves someone, it wanders through deserted places looking for rest, and finds nowhere to stay.
“जब दुष्टात्मा किसी व्यक्ति में से बाहर आ जाती है, वह निवास स्थान की खोज में सूखे स्थानों में फिरती है, किंतु उसे निवास स्थान प्राप्त नहीं हो पाता.
44 So it says, ‘I'll go back to the place I left,’ and when it returns it finds the place empty, all clean and tidy.
तब वह सोचती है, ‘मैं जिस निवास स्थान को छोड़कर आयी थी, वहीं लौट जाऊं.’ वह वहां लौटकर उसे खाली, साफ़ और सुथरा पाती है.
45 Then it goes and brings back seven other spirits even more evil than it is, and it enters and lives there. So the person ends up worse than they were at the beginning. That's the way it will be with this evil generation.”
तब वह जाकर अपने से अधिक बुरी सात आत्मा और ले आती है और वे सब उस व्यक्ति में प्रवेश कर उसमें अपना घर बना लेती हैं. तब उस व्यक्ति की स्थिति पहले से खराब हो जाती है. यही स्थिति होगी इस दुष्ट पीढ़ी की भी.”
46 While he was speaking to the crowds, his mother and his brothers arrived and stood outside, wanting to talk to him.
जब येशु भीड़ से बातें कर रहे थे, उनकी माता तथा उनके भाई उनसे भेंट करने की प्रतीक्षा में बाहर ठहरे हुए थे.
47 Someone came and told him, “Look, your mother and brothers are outside, wanting to talk to you.”
किसी ने उन्हें सूचित किया, “आपकी माता तथा भाई बाहर आपसे भेंट करने के लिए प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं.”
48 “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Jesus asked.
जिस व्यक्ति ने येशु को यह सूचना दी थी, उससे येशु ने पूछा, “वास्तव में कौन है मेरी माता और कौन है मेरा भाई?”
49 He pointed at his disciples, and said, “Look, they are my mother and my brothers!
तब अपने शिष्यों की ओर हाथ से संकेत करते हुए येशु ने कहा, “ये हैं मेरे भाई, मेरी बहन तथा मेरी माता.
50 For those who do the will of my heavenly Father, they are my brother, sister, and mother!”
जो मेरे स्वर्गीय पिता की इच्छा पूरी करता है, वही है मेरा भाई, मेरी बहन तथा मेरी माता.”
