Luke 8
1 Soon after this Jesus went around the towns and villages announcing the good news of God's kingdom. The twelve disciples went with him,
அபரஞ்ச யீஸு² ர்த்³வாத³ஸ²பி⁴: ஸி²ஷ்யை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ நாநாநக³ரேஷு நாநாக்³ராமேஷு ச க³ச்ச²ந் இஸ்²வரீயராஜத்வஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசாரயிதும்’ ப்ராரேபே⁴|
2 along with a number of women who had been healed from evil spirits and sickness: Mary called Magdalene from whom he had cast out seven demons;
ததா³ யஸ்யா: ஸப்த பூ⁴தா நிரக³ச்ச²ந் ஸா மக்³த³லீநீதி விக்²யாதா மரியம் ஹேரோத்³ராஜஸ்ய க்³ரு’ஹாதி⁴பதே: ஹோஷே ர்பா⁴ர்ய்யா யோஹநா ஸூ²ஸா²நா
3 Joanna, the wife of Herod's manager Chuza; Susanna; and many more who provided support from their personal resources.
ப்ரப்⁴ரு’தயோ யா ப³ஹ்வ்ய: ஸ்த்ரிய: து³ஷ்டபூ⁴தேப்⁴யோ ரோகே³ப்⁴யஸ்²ச முக்தா: ஸத்யோ நிஜவிபூ⁴தீ ர்வ்யயித்வா தமஸேவந்த, தா: ஸர்வ்வாஸ்தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம் ஆஸந்|
4 Once when a large crowd of people gathered, coming from many towns to see him, Jesus spoke to them, using a story as an illustration.
அநந்தரம்’ நாநாநக³ரேப்⁴யோ ப³ஹவோ லோகா ஆக³த்ய தஸ்ய ஸமீபே(அ)மிலந், ததா³ ஸ தேப்⁴ய ஏகாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தகதா²ம்’ கத²யாமாஸ| ஏக: க்ரு’ஷீப³லோ பீ³ஜாநி வப்தும்’ ப³ஹிர்ஜகா³ம,
5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he scattered the seed, some fell on the road where people trampled on it and birds ate it up.
ததோ வபநகாலே கதிபயாநி பீ³ஜாநி மார்க³பார்ஸ்²வே பேது: , ததஸ்தாநி பத³தலை ர்த³லிதாநி பக்ஷிபி⁴ ர்ப⁴க்ஷிதாநி ச|
6 Some fell on stony ground, and once the seeds had sprouted they withered for lack of moisture.
கதிபயாநி பீ³ஜாநி பாஷாணஸ்த²லே பதிதாநி யத்³யபி தாந்யங்குரிதாநி ததா²பி ரஸாபா⁴வாத் ஸு²ஸு²ஷு: |
7 Some seeds fell among thorns and as they both grew the thorns choked the plants.
கதிபயாநி பீ³ஜாநி கண்டகிவநமத்⁴யே பதிதாநி தத: கண்டகிவநாநி ஸம்’வ்ரு’த்³த்⁴ய தாநி ஜக்³ரஸு: |
8 Some seeds fell on good earth and after they grew they produced a harvest one hundred times more than what had been sown.” After he told them this, he called out, “If you have ears, then listen!”
தத³ந்யாநி கதிபயபீ³ஜாநி ச பூ⁴ம்யாமுத்தமாயாம்’ பேதுஸ்ததஸ்தாந்யங்குரயித்வா ஸ²தகு³ணாநி ப²லாநி பே²லு: | ஸ இமா கதா²ம்’ கத²யித்வா ப்ரோச்சை: ப்ரோவாச, யஸ்ய ஸ்²ரோதும்’ ஸ்²ரோத்ரே ஸ்த: ஸ ஸ்²ரு’ணோது|
9 But his disciples asked him, “What does this illustration mean?”
தத: பரம்’ ஸி²ஷ்யாஸ்தம்’ பப்ரச்சு²ரஸ்ய த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தஸ்ய கிம்’ தாத்பர்ய்யம்’?
10 Jesus replied, “You've been given insights into the mysteries of God's kingdom, but the rest are given illustrations, so that, ‘Even though they see, they don't really see; and even though they hear, they don't really understand.’
தத: ஸ வ்யாஜஹார, ஈஸ்²வரீயராஜ்யஸ்ய கு³ஹ்யாநி ஜ்ஞாதும்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யமதி⁴காரோ தீ³யதே கிந்த்வந்யே யதா² த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வாபி ந பஸ்²யந்தி ஸ்²ருத்வாபி ம பு³த்⁴யந்தே ச தத³ர்த²ம்’ தேஷாம்’ புரஸ்தாத் தா: ஸர்வ்வா: கதா² த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தேந கத்²யந்தே|
11 This is the meaning of the illustration: The seed is God's word.
த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தஸ்யாஸ்யாபி⁴ப்ராய: , ஈஸ்²வரீயகதா² பீ³ஜஸ்வரூபா|
12 The seeds that fall on the road are those who hear the message, but then the devil comes and steals away the truth from their minds so they won't trust in God and be saved.
யே கதா²மாத்ரம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தி கிந்து பஸ்²சாத்³ விஸ்²வஸ்ய யதா² பரித்ராணம்’ ந ப்ராப்நுவந்தி ததா³ஸ²யேந ஸை²தாநேத்ய ஹ்ரு’த³யாத்ரு’ தாம்’ கதா²ம் அபஹரதி த ஏவ மார்க³பார்ஸ்²வஸ்த²பூ⁴மிஸ்வரூபா: |
13 The seeds that fall on the stony ground are those who hear and welcome the message with joy but don't have any roots. They trust for a while but when difficult times come they give up.
யே கத²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா ஸாநந்த³ம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லந்தி கிந்த்வப³த்³த⁴மூலத்வாத் ஸ்வல்பகாலமாத்ரம்’ ப்ரதீத்ய பரீக்ஷாகாலே ப்⁴ரஸ்²யந்தி தஏவ பாஷாணபூ⁴மிஸ்வரூபா: |
14 The seeds that fall among thorns are those who hear the message but it's choked out by life's distractions—worries, wealth, pleasure—so they don't produce anything.
யே கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா யாந்தி விஷயசிந்தாயாம்’ த⁴நலோபே⁴ந ஏஹிகஸுகே² ச மஜ்ஜந்த உபயுக்தப²லாநி ந ப²லந்தி த ஏவோப்தபீ³ஜகண்டகிபூ⁴ஸ்வரூபா: |
15 The seeds sown on good earth are those who are honest and do what is right. They hear the message of truth, hold on to it, and through their perseverance produce a good harvest.
கிந்து யே ஸ்²ருத்வா ஸரலை: ஸு²த்³தை⁴ஸ்²சாந்த: கரணை: கதா²ம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லந்தி தை⁴ர்ய்யம் அவலம்ப்³ய ப²லாந்யுத்பாத³யந்தி ச த ஏவோத்தமம்ரு’த்ஸ்வரூபா: |
16 You don't light a lamp and then cover it with a bucket, or hide it under a bed. No, you put it on a stand, so that anyone who comes in can see the light.
அபரஞ்ச ப்ரதீ³பம்’ ப்ரஜ்வால்ய கோபி பாத்ரேண நாச்சா²த³யதி ததா² க²ட்வாதோ⁴பி ந ஸ்தா²பயதி, கிந்து தீ³பாதா⁴ரோபர்ய்யேவ ஸ்தா²பயதி, தஸ்மாத் ப்ரவேஸ²கா தீ³ப்திம்’ பஸ்²யந்தி|
17 For there's nothing hidden that won't be revealed; there's nothing secret that won't become known and obvious.
யந்ந ப்ரகாஸ²யிஷ்யதே தாத்³ரு’க்³ அப்ரகாஸி²தம்’ வஸ்து கிமபி நாஸ்தி யச்ச ந ஸுவ்யக்தம்’ ப்ரசாரயிஷ்யதே தாத்³ரு’க்³ க்³ரு’ப்தம்’ வஸ்து கிமபி நாஸ்தி|
18 So pay attention how you ‘hear.’ To those who have received, more will be given; from those who don't receive, even what they think they have will be taken away!”
அதோ யூயம்’ கேந ப்ரகாரேண ஸ்²ரு’ணுத² தத்ர ஸாவதா⁴நா ப⁴வத, யஸ்ய ஸமீபே ப³ர்த்³த⁴தே தஸ்மை புநர்தா³ஸ்யதே கிந்து யஸ்யாஸ்²ரயே ந ப³ர்த்³த⁴தே தஸ்ய யத்³யத³ஸ்தி தத³பி தஸ்மாத் நேஷ்யதே|
19 Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived, but they couldn't get through the crowd to see him.
அபரஞ்ச யீஸோ² ர்மாதா ப்⁴ராதரஸ்²ச தஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ ஜிக³மிஷவ:
20 Jesus was told, “Your mother and your brothers are outside. They want to see you.”
கிந்து ஜநதாஸம்பா³தா⁴த் தத்ஸந்நிதி⁴ம்’ ப்ராப்தும்’ ந ஸே²கு: | தத்பஸ்²சாத் தவ மாதா ப்⁴ராதரஸ்²ச த்வாம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் சிகீர்ஷந்தோ ப³ஹிஸ்திஷ்ட²நதீதி வார்த்தாயாம்’ தஸ்மை கதி²தாயாம்’
21 “My mother and my brothers are those who hear God's word, and do what it says,” Jesus replied.
ஸ ப்ரத்யுவாச; யே ஜநா ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா தத³நுரூபமாசரந்தி தஏவ மம மாதா ப்⁴ராதரஸ்²ச|
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let's cross over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set off.
அநந்தரம்’ ஏகதா³ யீஸு²: ஸி²ஷ்யை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ நாவமாருஹ்ய ஜகா³த³, ஆயாத வயம்’ ஹ்ரத³ஸ்ய பாரம்’ யாம: , ததஸ்தே ஜக்³மு: |
23 As they were sailing, Jesus fell asleep, and a storm came down on the lake. The boat began filling with water and they were in danger of sinking.
தேஷு நௌகாம்’ வாஹயத்ஸு ஸ நித³த்³ரௌ;
24 They went over to Jesus and woke him up. “Master, master, we're going to drown!” they said. Jesus woke up and commanded the wind and the rough waves to stop. They stopped, and all was calm.
அதா²கஸ்மாத் ப்ரப³லஜ²ஞ்ப்⁴ஸ²க³மாத்³ ஹ்ரதே³ நௌகாயாம்’ தரங்கை³ராச்ச²ந்நாயாம்’ விபத் தாந் ஜக்³ராஸ| தஸ்மாத்³ யீஸோ²ரந்திகம்’ க³த்வா ஹே கு³ரோ ஹே கு³ரோ ப்ராணா நோ யாந்தீதி க³தி³த்வா தம்’ ஜாக³ரயாம்ப³பூ⁴வு: | ததா³ ஸ உத்தா²ய வாயும்’ தரங்கா³ம்’ஸ்²ச தர்ஜயாமாஸ தஸ்மாது³பௌ⁴ நிவ்ரு’த்ய ஸ்தி²ரௌ ப³பூ⁴வது: |
25 “Where is your trust?” he asked them. Terrified and amazed, they said to each other, “So who is this? He gives commands to the winds and the water, and they obey him!”
ஸ தாந் ப³பா⁴ஷே யுஷ்மாகம்’ விஸ்²வாஸ: க? தஸ்மாத்தே பீ⁴தா விஸ்மிதாஸ்²ச பரஸ்பரம்’ ஜக³து³: , அஹோ கீத்³ரு’க³யம்’ மநுஜ: பவநம்’ பாநீயஞ்சாதி³ஸ²தி தது³ப⁴யம்’ ததா³தே³ஸ²ம்’ வஹதி|
26 They sailed across to the Gerasene region that lies opposite Galilee.
தத: பரம்’ கா³லீல்ப்ரதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய ஸம்முக²ஸ்த²கி³தே³ரீயப்ரதே³ஸே² நௌகாயாம்’ லக³ந்த்யாம்’ தடே(அ)வரோஹமாவாத்³
27 When Jesus stepped out of the boat onto the shore, a demon-possessed man from the town came to meet him. For a long time he hadn't worn any clothes or lived in a house. He lived in the tombs.
ப³ஹுதித²காலம்’ பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்த ஏகோ மாநுஷ: புராதா³க³த்ய தம்’ ஸாக்ஷாச்சகார| ஸ மநுஷோ வாஸோ ந பரித³த⁴த் க்³ரு’ஹே ச ந வஸந் கேவலம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நம் அத்⁴யுவாஸ|
28 When he saw Jesus he screamed, fell down at Jesus' feet, and asked in a loud voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Please don't torture me, I beg you!”
ஸ யீஸு²ம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வைவ சீச்ச²ப்³த³ம்’ சகார தஸ்ய ஸம்முகே² பதித்வா ப்ரோச்சைர்ஜகா³த³ ச, ஹே ஸர்வ்வப்ரதா⁴நேஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ர, மயா ஸஹ தவ க: ஸம்ப³ந்த⁴: ? த்வயி விநயம்’ கரோமி மாம்’ மா யாதய|
29 For Jesus had already commanded the evil spirit to leave the man. It had often seized him, and despite being tied down with chains and shackles, and placed under guard, he would break the chains apart and would be driven by the demon into the desert areas.
யத: ஸ தம்’ மாநுஷம்’ த்யக்த்வா யாதும் அமேத்⁴யபூ⁴தம் ஆதி³தே³ஸ²; ஸ பூ⁴தஸ்தம்’ மாநுஷம் அஸக்ரு’த்³ த³தா⁴ர தஸ்மால்லோகா: ஸ்²ரு’ங்க²லேந நிக³டே³ந ச ப³ப³ந்து⁴: ; ஸ தத்³ ப⁴ம்’க்த்வா பூ⁴தவஸ²த்வாத் மத்⁴யேப்ராந்தரம்’ யயௌ|
30 “What is your name?” Jesus asked him. “Legion,” he replied, for many demons had entered him.
அநந்தரம்’ யீஸு²ஸ்தம்’ பப்ரச்ச² தவ கிந்நாம? ஸ உவாச, மம நாம பா³ஹிநோ யதோ ப³ஹவோ பூ⁴தாஸ்தமாஸி²ஸ்²ரியு: |
அத² பூ⁴தா விநயேந ஜக³து³: , க³பீ⁴ரம்’ க³ர்த்தம்’ க³ந்தும்’ மாஜ்ஞாபயாஸ்மாந்| (Abyssos g12)
32 There was a large herd of pigs feeding on the nearby hillside, and the demons begged him to be allowed to go into the pigs. Jesus gave them permission,
ததா³ பர்வ்வதோபரி வராஹவ்ரஜஸ்²சரதி தஸ்மாத்³ பூ⁴தா விநயேந ப்ரோசு: , அமும்’ வராஹவ்ரஜம் ஆஸ்²ரயிதும் அஸ்மாந் அநுஜாநீஹி; தத: ஸோநுஜஜ்ஞௌ|
33 so the demons left the man and entered the pigs. The herd rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned.
தத: பரம்’ பூ⁴தாஸ்தம்’ மாநுஷம்’ விஹாய வராஹவ்ரஜம் ஆஸி²ஸ்²ரியு: வராஹவ்ரஜாஸ்²ச தத்க்ஷணாத் கடகேந தா⁴வந்தோ ஹ்ரதே³ ப்ராணாந் விஜ்ரு’ஹு: |
34 When the pig-keepers saw what had happened they ran off and spread the news through the town and the countryside.
தத்³ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா ஸூ²கரரக்ஷகா: பலாயமாநா நக³ரம்’ க்³ராமஞ்ச க³த்வா தத்ஸர்வ்வவ்ரு’த்தாந்தம்’ கத²யாமாஸு: |
35 The people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus they found the man freed from the demons. He was sitting there at Jesus' feet, wearing clothes and in his right mind; and they became scared.
தத: கிம்’ வ்ரு’த்தம் ஏதத்³த³ர்ஸ²நார்த²ம்’ லோகா நிர்க³த்ய யீஸோ²: ஸமீபம்’ யயு: , தம்’ மாநுஷம்’ த்யக்தபூ⁴தம்’ பரிஹிதவஸ்த்ரம்’ ஸ்வஸ்த²மாநுஷவத்³ யீஸோ²ஸ்²சரணஸந்நிதௌ⁴ ஸூபவிஸ²ந்தம்’ விலோக்ய பி³ப்⁴யு: |
36 Those who had seen what happened explained how the demon-possessed man had been healed.
யே லோகாஸ்தஸ்ய பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தஸ்ய ஸ்வாஸ்த்²யகரணம்’ த³த்³ரு’ஸு²ஸ்தே தேப்⁴ய: ஸர்வ்வவ்ரு’த்தாந்தம்’ கத²யாமாஸு: |
37 Then all the people from the Gerasene region asked Jesus to leave because they were overwhelmed by fear. So he got into the boat and went back.
தத³நந்தரம்’ தஸ்ய கி³தே³ரீயப்ரதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய சதுர்தி³க்ஸ்தா² ப³ஹவோ ஜநா அதித்ரஸ்தா விநயேந தம்’ ஜக³து³: , ப⁴வாந் அஸ்மாகம்’ நிகடாத்³ வ்ரஜது தஸ்மாத் ஸ நாவமாருஹ்ய ததோ வ்யாகு⁴ட்ய ஜகா³ம|
38 The man who had been freed from the demons begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away.
ததா³நீம்’ த்யக்தபூ⁴தமநுஜஸ்தேந ஸஹ ஸ்தா²தும்’ ப்ரார்த²யாஞ்சக்ரே
39 “Go back home, and tell people all that God has done for you,” Jesus told him. So he went away, telling the whole town all that Jesus had done for him.
கிந்து தத³ர்த²ம் ஈஸ்²வர: கீத்³ரு’ங்மஹாகர்ம்ம க்ரு’தவாந் இதி நிவேஸ²நம்’ க³த்வா விஜ்ஞாபய, யீஸு²: கதா²மேதாம்’ கத²யித்வா தம்’ விஸஸர்ஜ| தத: ஸ வ்ரஜித்வா யீஸு²ஸ்தத³ர்த²ம்’ யந்மஹாகர்ம்ம சகார தத் புரஸ்ய ஸர்வ்வத்ர ப்ரகாஸ²யிதும்’ ப்ராரேபே⁴|
40 A crowd of people was there to welcome Jesus when he returned, all eagerly expecting him.
அத² யீஸௌ² பராவ்ரு’த்யாக³தே லோகாஸ்தம்’ ஆத³ரேண ஜக்³ரு’ஹு ர்யஸ்மாத்தே ஸர்வ்வே தமபேக்ஷாஞ்சக்ரிரே|
41 One was a man called Jairus, a synagogue leader, who came and fell at Jesus' feet. He pleaded with Jesus to come to his home
தத³நந்தரம்’ யாயீர்நாம்நோ ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹஸ்யைகோதி⁴ப ஆக³த்ய யீஸோ²ஸ்²சரணயோ: பதித்வா ஸ்வநிவேஸ²நாக³மநார்த²ம்’ தஸ்மிந் விநயம்’ சகார,
42 because his only daughter was dying. She was about twelve years old. While Jesus was on his way there, people were crowding around him.
யதஸ்தஸ்ய த்³வாத³ஸ²வர்ஷவயஸ்கா கந்யைகாஸீத் ஸா ம்ரு’தகல்பாப⁴வத்| ததஸ்தஸ்ய க³மநகாலே மார்கே³ லோகாநாம்’ மஹாந் ஸமாக³மோ ப³பூ⁴வ|
43 In the crowd was a woman who had suffered with bleeding for twelve years. She had spent all she had on doctors, but none of them had been able to help her.
த்³வாத³ஸ²வர்ஷாணி ப்ரத³ரரோக³க்³ரஸ்தா நாநா வைத்³யைஸ்²சிகித்ஸிதா ஸர்வ்வஸ்வம்’ வ்யயித்வாபி ஸ்வாஸ்த்²யம்’ ந ப்ராப்தா யா யோஷித் ஸா யீஸோ²: பஸ்²சாதா³க³த்ய தஸ்ய வஸ்த்ரக்³ரந்தி²ம்’ பஸ்பர்ஸ²|
44 She approached Jesus from behind and touched the hem of his cloak. Immediately the bleeding stopped.
தஸ்மாத் தத்க்ஷணாத் தஸ்யா ரக்தஸ்ராவோ ருத்³த⁴: |
45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. Everybody around denied doing so. “But Master,” said Peter, “there are people crowding around you, and they keep pushing up against you.”
ததா³நீம்’ யீஸு²ரவத³த் கேநாஹம்’ ஸ்ப்ரு’ஷ்ட: ? ததோ(அ)நேகைரநங்கீ³க்ரு’தே பிதரஸ்தஸ்ய ஸங்கி³நஸ்²சாவத³ந், ஹே கு³ரோ லோகா நிகடஸ்தா²: ஸந்தஸ்தவ தே³ஹே க⁴ர்ஷயந்தி, ததா²பி கேநாஹம்’ ஸ்ப்ரு’ஷ்டஇதி ப⁴வாந் குத: ப்ரு’ச்ச²தி?
46 “Someone touched me,” Jesus replied. “I know because power went out from me.”
யீஸு²: கத²யாமாஸ, கேநாப்யஹம்’ ஸ்ப்ரு’ஷ்டோ, யதோ மத்த: ஸ²க்தி ர்நிர்க³தேதி மயா நிஸ்²சிதமஜ்ஞாயி|
47 When the woman realized she couldn't go unnoticed, she came forward, trembling, and fell down before him. Right in front of everybody she explained the reason why she had touched Jesus, and that she'd been cured immediately.
ததா³ ஸா நாரீ ஸ்வயம்’ ந கு³ப்தேதி விதி³த்வா கம்பமாநா ஸதீ தஸ்ய ஸம்முகே² பபாத; யேந நிமித்தேந தம்’ பஸ்பர்ஸ² ஸ்பர்ஸ²மாத்ராச்ச யேந ப்ரகாரேண ஸ்வஸ்தா²ப⁴வத் தத் ஸர்வ்வம்’ தஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாதா³சக்²யௌ|
48 Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your trust has healed you, go in peace.”
தத: ஸ தாம்’ ஜகா³த³ ஹே கந்யே ஸுஸ்தி²ரா ப⁴வ, தவ விஸ்²வாஸஸ்த்வாம்’ ஸ்வஸ்தா²ம் அகார்ஷீத் த்வம்’ க்ஷேமேண யாஹி|
49 While he was still speaking, someone came from the home of the synagogue leader to tell him, “Your daughter's dead. You don't need to bother the Teacher any longer.”
யீஸோ²ரேதத்³வாக்யவத³நகாலே தஸ்யாதி⁴பதே ர்நிவேஸ²நாத் கஸ்²சில்லோக ஆக³த்ய தம்’ ப³பா⁴ஷே, தவ கந்யா ம்ரு’தா கு³ரும்’ மா க்லிஸா²ந|
50 But when he heard this, Jesus told Jairus, “Don't be afraid. If you trust, she will be healed.”
கிந்து யீஸு²ஸ்ததா³கர்ண்யாதி⁴பதிம்’ வ்யாஜஹார, மா பை⁴ஷீ: கேவலம்’ விஸ்²வஸிஹி தஸ்மாத் ஸா ஜீவிஷ்யதி|
51 When Jesus arrived at the house he didn't allow anyone else to go in except Peter, John, and James, and the girl's father and mother.
அத² தஸ்ய நிவேஸ²நே ப்ராப்தே ஸ பிதரம்’ யோஹநம்’ யாகூப³ஞ்ச கந்யாயா மாதரம்’ பிதரஞ்ச விநா, அந்யம்’ கஞ்சந ப்ரவேஷ்டும்’ வாரயாமாஸ|
52 All the people there were crying and mourning for her. “Don't cry,” Jesus told them. “She's not dead, she's just sleeping.”
அபரஞ்ச யே ருத³ந்தி விலபந்தி ச தாந் ஸர்வ்வாந் ஜநாந் உவாச, யூயம்’ மா ரோதி³ஷ்ட கந்யா ந ம்ரு’தா நித்³ராதி|
53 They laughed at him, because they knew that she was dead.
கிந்து ஸா நிஸ்²சிதம்’ ம்ரு’தேதி ஜ்ஞாத்வா தே தமுபஜஹஸு: |
54 But Jesus took her by the hand, and said in a loud voice, “My child, get up!”
பஸ்²சாத் ஸ ஸர்வ்வாந் ப³ஹி: க்ரு’த்வா கந்யாயா: கரௌ த்⁴ரு’த்வாஜுஹுவே, ஹே கந்யே த்வமுத்திஷ்ட²,
55 She came back to life, and she got up at once. Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
தஸ்மாத் தஸ்யா: ப்ராணேஷு புநராக³தேஷு ஸா தத்க்ஷணாத்³ உத்தஸ்யௌ| ததா³நீம்’ தஸ்யை கிஞ்சித்³ ப⁴க்ஷ்யம்’ தா³தும் ஆதி³தே³ஸ²|
56 Her parents were astonished at what had happened, but Jesus instructed them not to tell anyone about it.
ததஸ்தஸ்யா: பிதரௌ விஸ்மயம்’ க³தௌ கிந்து ஸ தாவாதி³தே³ஸ² க⁴டநாயா ஏதஸ்யா: கதா²ம்’ கஸ்மைசித³பி மா கத²யதம்’|
