Luke 20
1 Once when Jesus was teaching the people in the Temple, telling them the good news, some of the chief priests and religious teachers came with the elders.
௧அந்த நாட்களிலே, அவர் தேவாலயத்திலே மக்களுக்கு உபதேசித்து, நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கித்தபோது, பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் வேதபண்டிதர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் அவரிடத்தில் கூடிவந்து:
2 They asked him, “Tell us: by whose authority are you doing what you do? Who gave you the right to do this?”
௨நீர் எந்த அதிகாரத்தினால் இவைகளைச் செய்கிறீர்? இந்த அதிகாரத்தை உமக்குக் கொடுத்தவர் யார்? அதை எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லும் என்றார்கள்.
3 “Let me ask you a question too,” Jesus replied. “Tell me:
௩அவர்களுக்கு அவர் மறுமொழியாக: நானும் உங்களிடம் ஒரு காரியத்தைக் கேட்கிறேன், அதை எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.
4 the baptism of John—was it from heaven, or was it just human?”
௪யோவான் கொடுத்த ஸ்நானம் தேவனால் உண்டாயிற்றோ? மனிதர்களால் உண்டாயிற்றோ? என்று கேட்டார்.
5 They talked about it among themselves: “If we say it was from heaven, he'll ask, ‘Then why didn't you believe him?’
௫அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்ளே யோசனைசெய்து: தேவனால் உண்டானது என்று சொல்வோமானால், பின்னை ஏன் அவனை நம்பவில்லை என்று கேட்பார்.
6 And if we say it was just human, everybody will stone us for they're sure John was a prophet.”
௬மனிதர்களால் உண்டானது என்று சொல்வோமானால், மக்களெல்லோரும் யோவானைத் தீர்க்கதரிசியென்று எண்ணுகிறபடியினால் நம்மேல் கல்லெறிவார்கள் என்று சொல்லி:
7 So they answered, “We don't know where it came from.”
௭அது யாரால் உண்டாயிற்றோ, எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது என்று மறுமொழி சொன்னார்கள்.
8 Jesus replied, “Then I won't tell you by whose authority I do what I do.”
௮அப்பொழுது இயேசு: நானும் இன்ன அதிகாரத்தினால் இவைகளைச் செய்கிறேனென்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லமாட்டேன் என்றார்.
9 Then he began to tell the people a story: “Once there was a man who planted a vineyard, leased it to some farmers, and went to live in another country for a long while.
௯பின்பு அவர் மக்களுக்கு சொல்லத்தொடங்கின உவமையாவது: ஒரு மனிதன் ஒரு திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தை உண்டாக்கி, அதைத் தோட்டக்காரர்களுக்குக் குத்தகையாக விட்டு, நீண்ட நாட்களாக வெளிதேசத்திற்குச் சென்றிருந்தான்.
10 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenant farmers to collect his share of the crop, but the farmers beat the servant and sent him away with nothing.
௧0அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்கள் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் கனிகளில் தன் பங்கைக் கொடுத்தனுப்பும்படி, பருவகாலத்திலே அவர்களிடத்தில் ஒரு வேலைக்காரனை அனுப்பினான். அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்கள் அவனை அடித்து, ஒன்றும் கொடுக்காமல் அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்.
11 So the owner sent another servant, but they beat him too and treated him shamefully, and sent him away with nothing.
௧௧பின்பு அவன் வேறொரு வேலைக்காரனை அனுப்பினான்; அவனையும் அவர்கள் அடித்து, அவமானப்படுத்தி, ஒன்றும் கொடுக்காமல் அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்.
12 So he sent a third servant, but they wounded him and threw him out.
௧௨அவன் மூன்றாம்முறையும் ஒரு வேலைக்காரனை அனுப்பினான்; அவனையும் அவர்கள் காயப்படுத்தி துரத்திவிட்டார்கள்.
13 The owner of the vineyard asked himself, ‘What shall I do? I know, I'll send my son whom I love. Perhaps they will respect him.’
௧௩அப்பொழுது திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் எஜமான்: நான் என்ன செய்யலாம், எனக்குப் பிரியமான மகனை அனுப்பினால், அவனையாவது பார்த்து பயப்படுவார்கள் என்று நினைத்து, அவனை அனுப்பினான்.
14 But when they saw him coming, the farmers said to themselves, ‘This is the owner's heir. Let's kill him! That way we can take his inheritance.’
௧௪தோட்டக்காரர்கள் அவனைக் கண்டபோது: இவனே வாரிசு, சொத்தை நம்முடையதாக்கும்படிக்கு இவனைக் கொன்று போடுவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டு,
15 They threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Now what will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
௧௫அவனைத் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திற்குப் வெளியே தள்ளி, கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள். இப்படியிருக்க, திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தின் எஜமான் அவர்களை என்ன செய்வான்?
16 He will come and kill these farmers and let others have the vineyard.” When they heard the story, they said, “May this never happen!”
௧௬அவன் வந்து அந்தத் தோட்டக்காரர்களை அழித்து, திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தை வேறு தோட்டக்காரர்களிடத்தில் கொடுப்பான் அல்லவா என்றார். அவர்கள் அதைக்கேட்டு, அப்படியாகாதிருப்பதாக என்றார்கள்.
17 But Jesus looked at them and said, “Then why is it written in the Scriptures, ‘The stone the builders rejected has now become the chief cornerstone’?
௧௭அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: வீடுகட்டுகிறவர்கள் ஆகாதென்று தள்ளின கல்லே, மூலைக்குத் தலைக்கல்லானது என்று எழுதியிருக்கிற வேதவாக்கியத்தின் பொருள் என்ன?
18 Anyone who falls on that stone will be broken in pieces; anyone it falls upon will be crushed.”
௧௮அந்தக் கல்லின்மேல் விழுகிறவன் எவனோ அவன் நொறுங்கிப்போவான், அது எவன்மேல் விழுமோ அவனை அழித்துப்போடும்” என்றார்.
19 Immediately the religious teachers and the chief priests wanted to arrest him because they realized that the story Jesus told was aimed at them, but they were afraid of what the people would do.
௧௯பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் வேதபண்டிதர்களும் தங்களைக்குறித்து இந்த உதாரணத்தைச் சொன்னாரென்று அறிந்து, அந்த நேரத்திலே அவரைப் பிடிக்க வகைதேடியும் மக்களுக்குப் பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.
20 Watching for an opportunity they sent spies who pretended to be sincere. They tried to catch Jesus out in something he said so they could hand him over to the power and authority of the governor.
௨0அவர்கள் நேரம் பார்த்து, தேசாதிபதியின் ஆளுகைக்கும் அதிகாரத்திற்கும் அவரை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்படி அவருடைய பேச்சிலே குற்றம் கண்டுபிடிக்கலாமென்று, தங்களை உண்மையுள்ளவர்களாக நடிக்கிற ஒற்றர்களை அவரிடத்தில் அனுப்பினார்கள்.
21 They said, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach what is good and right, and that you're not swayed by the opinions of others. You truly teach the way of God.
௨௧அவர்கள் வந்து: போதகரே, நீர் நிதானமாகப் பேசி உபதேசிக்கிறீரென்றும், பட்சபாதமில்லாமல் தேவனுடைய வழிமுறைகளை உண்மையாகப் போதிக்கிறீரென்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
22 So should we pay taxes to Caesar or not?”
௨௨இராயனுக்கு வரிகொடுக்கிறது நியாயமா இல்லையா, எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லும் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
23 But Jesus saw through their trickery, and said to them,
௨௩அவர்களுடைய தந்திரத்தை அவர் அறிந்து, நீங்கள் என்னை ஏன் சோதிக்கிறீர்கள்?
24 “Show me a coin—a denarius. Whose image and inscription is on it?” “Caesar's,” they answered.
௨௪ஒரு நாணயத்தை எனக்குக் காண்பியுங்கள். இதிலிருக்கிற உருவமும் எழுத்தும் யாருடையது என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: இராயனுடையது என்றார்கள்.
25 “Then give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give back to God what belongs to God,” he told them.
௨௫அதற்கு அவர்: அப்படியானால், இராயனுக்குரியதை இராயனுக்கும், தேவனுக்குரியதை தேவனுக்கும் செலுத்துங்கள் என்றார்.
26 They weren't able to trap him by what he told the people. They were stunned at his reply, and fell silent.
௨௬அவர்கள் அவரை மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பேச்சிலே குற்றம்பிடிக்கக்கூடாமல், அவர் சொன்ன பதிலைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, மவுனமாக இருந்தார்கள்.
27 Then some of the Sadducees, who deny the resurrection, came to Jesus with this question:
௨௭உயிர்த்தெழுதல் இல்லையென்று சாதிக்கிற சதுசேயர்களில் சிலர் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து:
28 “Teacher,” they began, “Moses gave us a law that if a married man dies leaving a wife without children, then his brother should marry the widow and have children for his dead brother.
௨௮போதகரே, ஒருவன் மனைவியையுடையவனாக இருந்து சந்ததியில்லாமல் மரித்துப்போனால், அவனுடைய சகோதரன் அவன் மனைவியைத் திருமணம்செய்து, தன் சகோதரனுக்குச் சந்ததியுண்டாக்கவேண்டும் என்று மோசே எங்களுக்கு எழுதிவைத்திருக்கிறாரே.
29 Once there were seven brothers. The first had a wife, and died without having children.
௨௯சகோதரர்கள் ஏழுபேரிருந்தார்கள், அவர்களில் மூத்தவன் ஒரு பெண்ணைத் திருமணம்செய்து சந்ததியில்லாமல் மரித்துப்போனான்.
30 The second
௩0பின்பு இரண்டாம் சகோதரன் அவளைத் திருமணம்செய்து அவனும் சந்ததியில்லாமல் மரித்துப்போனான்.
31 and then the third brother also married her. In the end all seven brothers married her, and then died without having children.
௩௧மூன்றாம் சகோதரனும் அவளை திருமணம் செய்தான். அப்படியே ஏழுபேரும் அவளைத் திருமணம்செய்து சந்ததியில்லாமல் மரித்துப்போனார்கள்.
32 Finally the wife died too.
௩௨எல்லோருக்கும்பின்பு அந்த பெண்ணும் மரித்துப்போனாள்.
33 Now whose wife will she be in the resurrection, since all seven brothers had married her?”
௩௩இவ்விதமாக ஏழுபேரும் அவளைத் திருமணம் செய்திருக்க, உயிர்த்தெழுதலில் அவர்களில் எவனுக்கு அவள் மனைவியாக இருப்பாள் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
௩௪இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் மறுமொழியாக: இந்த உலகத்தின் மக்கள் பெண் எடுத்தும் பெண் கொடுத்தும் வருகிறார்கள். (aiōn g165)
35 “But those who are considered worthy to share in the age to come and the resurrection from the dead don't marry or are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
௩௫மறுமையையும் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுந்திருக்குதலையும் அடைய தகுதியானவராக எண்ணப்படுகிறவர்களோ பெண் எடுப்பதுமில்லை பெண் கொடுப்பதுமில்லை. (aiōn g165)
36 They can't die any longer; they're like the angels and are children of God since they're children of the resurrection.
௩௬அவர்கள் இனி மரிக்கவும் மாட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் உயிர்த்தெழுதலின் மக்களானபடியால் தேவதூதர்களுக்கு நிகரானவர்களுமாக, தேவனுடைய மக்களுமாக இருப்பார்கள்.
37 But on the question of whether the dead are raised, even Moses proved this when he wrote about the burning bush, when he calls the Lord, ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
௩௭அல்லாமலும் மரித்தோர் உயிரோடு எழுந்திருப்பார்களென்பதை மோசேயும் முட்செடியைப்பற்றிய வாக்கியத்தில் காண்பித்திருக்கிறார். எப்படியென்றால், யெகோவாவை ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனென்றும் ஈசாக்கின் தேவனென்றும் யாக்கோபின் தேவனென்றும் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
38 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him they all are alive.”
௩௮அவர் மரித்தோரின் தேவனாக இல்லாமல், ஜீவனுள்ளோரின் தேவனாக இருக்கிறார்; எல்லோரும் அவருக்குள் பிழைத்திருக்கிறார்களே என்றார்.
39 Some of the religious teachers responded, “That was a good answer, Teacher.”
௩௯அப்பொழுது வேதபண்டிதர்களில் சிலர் அதைக்கேட்டு: போதகரே, நன்றாகச் சொன்னீர் என்றார்கள்.
40 After this no one dared to ask him any more questions.
௪0அதன்பின்பு அவர்கள் அவரிடத்தில் வேறொன்றும் கேட்கத் துணியவில்லை.
41 Then Jesus asked them, “Why is it said that Christ is the son of David?
௪௧அவர் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: கிறிஸ்து தாவீதின் குமாரனென்று எப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்?
42 For David himself says in the book of Psalms: The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right hand
௪௨நான் உம்முடைய விரோதிகளை உமக்குப் பாதபடியாக்கிப்போடும்வரைக்கும் நீர் என்னுடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் உட்காரும் என்று,
43 until I make all your enemies a footstool for your feet.’
௪௩யெகோவா என் ஆண்டவருடனே சொன்னார் என்று தாவீது தானே சங்கீத புத்தகத்தில் சொல்லுகிறானே.
44 David calls him ‘Lord,’ so how can he be David's son?”
௪௪தாவீது அவரை ஆண்டவரென்று சொல்லியிருக்க, அவனுக்கு அவர் குமாரனாக இருப்பது எப்படி” என்றார்.
45 While everyone was paying attention, he said to his disciples,
௪௫பின்பு மக்களெல்லோரும் கேட்கும்போது அவர் தம்முடைய சீடர்களைப் பார்த்து:
46 “Watch out for religious leaders who like to go around in long robes, and love to be greeted with respect in the markets, and to have the best seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets.
௪௬“நீண்ட அங்கிகளை அணிந்துகொண்டு திரியவும், சந்தைவெளிகளில் வணக்கங்களைப் பெறவும், ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் முதன்மையான இருக்கைகளில் உட்காரவும், விருந்துகளில் முதன்மையான இடங்களில் இருக்கவும் விரும்பி,
47 They cheat widows out of what they own, and cover up the kind of people they really are with long-winded prayers. They will receive severe condemnation in the judgment.”
௪௭விதவைகளின் வீடுகளைப் பட்சித்து, பார்வைக்கு நீண்ட ஜெபம்செய்கிற வேதபண்டிதர்களைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள், அவர்கள் அதிக தண்டனையை அடைவார்கள்” என்றார்.
