< Leviticus 21 >

1 The Lord told Moses, “Tell Aaron's sons, the priests: A priest is not to make himself unclean by touching the dead body of any of his relatives.
Markaasaa Rabbigu Muuse ku yidhi, La hadal wadaaddada ah wiilashii Haaruun, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Ninkiinna yuusan isu nijaasayn mid dadkiisa ah oo dhintay,
2 The only exceptions are for his immediate family. This includes his mother, father, son, daughter, or brother,
xigaalkiisa u dhow mooyaane, kuwaasoo ah hooyadiis, ama aabbihiis, ama wiilkiisa, ama gabadhiisa, ama walaalkiis,
3 or his unmarried sister since she is a close relative because she doesn't have a husband.
ama walaashiisa bikradda ah oo isaga u dhow, oo aan weli nin guursan; taas wuu isu nijaasayn karaa.
4 He must not make himself unclean for those only related to him by marriage—he is not to make himself ceremonially impure.
Waa inuusan isnijaasayn isagoo dadkiisa madax u ah, yuusan nijaas iska dhigin.
5 Priests are not to shave bald spots on their heads, trim the sides of their beards, or cut their bodies.
Oo waa inaan ninkoodna madaxa xiiran, oo waa inayan gadhkooda xiirin, ama ayan jidhkooda gooyn.
6 They must be holy to their God and not disgrace their God's reputation. They are the one who present the food offerings to the Lord, the food of their God. Consequently they must be holy.
Iyagu waa inay Ilaahooda quduus u ahaadaan, oo ayan wax nijaas ah ka sheegin magaca Ilaahooda, waayo, iyagu waxay bixiyaan qurbaannadii Rabbiga ee dabka lagu sameeyo oo ah cuntada Ilaahooda, oo sidaas daraaddeed waa inay quduus ahaadaan.
7 A priest is not to marry a woman made unclean through prostitution or who is divorced by her husband, for the priest must be holy to his God.
Waa inayan guursan naag dhillo ah ama mid la nijaaseeyey, oo waa inayan guursan naag la furay, waayo, wadaadku quduus buu Ilaahiis u yahay.
8 You shall consider him holy because he presents the food offerings to your God. He shall be holy to you, because I am holy. I am the Lord, and I chose you as my special people.
Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed waa inaad isaga quduus ka dhigtaa, waayo, isagu wuxuu bixiyaa cuntada Ilaahaaga, oo isagu waa inuu quduus kuu ahaadaa, waayo, anba quduus baan ahay, anigoo ah Rabbiga quduus idinka dhiga.
9 A priest's daughter who makes herself unclean through prostitution makes her father unclean. She must be executed by burning.
Oo wadaad kasta haddii ay gabadhiisu isnijaasayso oo ay dhillowdo, iyadu nijaas bay ka dhigaysaa aabbaheed, oo waa in dab lagu gubaa.
10 The high priest has the highest place among the other priests. He has been anointed with olive oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the priestly clothing. He must not leave his hair uncombed or tear his clothes.
Oo kii wadaadka sare walaalihiis ka dhex ah, oo madaxiisa lagu shubay saliiddii subkidda, oo ah kan loo daahiriyey inuu xidho dharka quduuska ah waa inaanay timaha madaxiisu arbushnaan ama uusan dharkiisa dildillaacin.
11 He is not to go near any dead body. He must not make himself unclean, even it is for his own father or mother.
Oo weliba waa inuusan meyd gudaha ugu gelin, oo xataa waa inuusan isu nijaasayn aabbihiis iyo hooyadiis toona.
12 He must not leave to deal with someone who has died or make the sanctuary of his God unclean because he has been dedicated by the anointing oil of his God. I am the Lord.
Oo waa inuusan dibadda uga bixin meesha quduuska ah, waana inuusan nijaasayn meesha quduuska ah ee Ilaahiisa, waayo, isaga waxaa kor saaran taajkii saliidda subkidda ee Ilaahiisa, waayo, aniga ayaa Rabbiga ah.
13 He can only marry a virgin.
Oo isagu waa inuu guursadaa gabadh bikrad ah.
14 He must not marry a widow, a divorced woman, or one made unclean through prostitution. He has to marry a virgin from his own people,
Waa inuusan marnaba guursan carmal, ama naag la furay, ama naag nijaasowday oo dhillo ah, laakiinse waa inuu guursadaa gabadh bikrad ah oo dadkiisa ka dhalatay.
15 so that he doesn't make his children unclean among his people, for I am the Lord who makes him holy.”
Oo waa inuusan dhashiisa ku dhex nijaasayn dadkiisa, waayo, aniga ayaa ah Rabbiga isaga quduus ka dhiga.
16 The Lord told Moses,
Markaasaa Rabbigu Muuse la hadlay oo wuxuu ku yidhi,
17 “Tell Aaron: These rules apply for all future generations. If any of your descendants has a physical defect, he is not allowed to come and present the food offerings of his God.
Haaruun la hadal, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Tan iyo ab ka ab ku alla kii farcankaaga ahu, isagoo iin leh, yuusan u dhowaan inuu cuntada Ilaahiisa bixiyo.
18 No man is allowed to do this if he has any defects, including anyone who is blind, crippled, facially disfigured, or has deformities,
Waayo, nin alla ninkuu yahayba, kii iin lahu waa inuusan u soo dhowaan, kaasoo ah ninkii indha la' ama curyaan ah, ama kii sankiisu faruuran yahay, ama jidhkiisu leeyahay wax dheeraad ah,
19 anyone who has a broken foot or arm,
ama ninkii cag jaban, ama gacan jaban,
20 anyone who is a hunchback or dwarf, or who has cataracts, skin sores or scabs, or a damaged testicle.
ama kii tuur leh, ama kii cilin ah, ama kii ishiisu iin leedahay, ama kii cambaar qaba, ama kii cadho qaba, ama kii xiniinyihiisu burbureen.
21 No descendant of Aaron the priest who has a defect is allowed to come and present the food offerings to the Lord. Because he has a defect, he must not come and offer the food of his God.
Wadaadka Haaruun ah nin alla ninkii farcankiisa ka mid ahu isagoo iin leh waa inuusan u soo dhowaan inuu bixiyo qurbaannada Rabbiga oo dabka lagu sameeyo, waayo, isagu iin buu leeyahay, oo waa inuusan u soo dhowaan inuu cuntada Ilaahiisa bixiyo.
22 He is still allowed to eat the food from the Most Holy Place of his God and also from the sanctuary,
Isagu waa inuu cunaa cuntada Ilaahiisa, tan quduuska ah iyo tan ugu wada quduusanba.
23 but because he has a defect, he is not allowed to go near the curtain or the altar, so that my sanctuary and everything in it are not made unclean, because I am the Lord who makes them holy.”
Laakiinse waa inuusan meesha daaha leh gelin, ama uusan meesha allabariga u dhowaan, si uusan u nijaasayn meelahayga quduuska ah, maxaa yeelay, isagu iin buu leeyahay, oo aniga ayaa ah Rabbiga iyaga quduus ka dhiga.
24 Moses repeated this to Aaron and his sons, and to all the Israelites.
Muuse sidaasuu kula hadlay Haaruun iyo wiilashiisii, iyo dadkii reer binu Israa'iil oo dhanba.
