Ningĩ Jehova akĩĩra Musa atĩrĩ,
2 “Tell the Israelites: these regulations are for both Israelites and foreigners living among them. Anyone who sacrifices their children to Molech must be executed. The community must stone them to death.
“Ĩra andũ a Isiraeli atĩrĩ: ‘Mũisiraeli o wothe kana mũgeni o wothe ũrĩa ũtũũraga bũrũri wa Isiraeli ũkaaheana ũmwe wa ciana ciake kũrĩ ngai ĩrĩa ĩtagwo Moleku, no nginya akooragwo. Mũingĩ wothe nĩ ũkaamũhũũra na mahiga nyuguto.
3 I will disown them and expel them from their people, because by sacrificing their children to Molech they have polluted my sanctuary and disgraced my reputation.
Nĩngahũgũkĩra mũndũ ũcio, na nĩngamũingata kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao; tondũ wa kũheana ciana ciake kũrĩ Moleku, nĩathaahĩtie handũ hakwa harĩa haamũre na agathaahia rĩĩtwa rĩakwa itheru.
4 If the community decides to look the other way and not execute those who sacrifice their children to Molech, then I will take action against them myself.
Mũingĩ ũcio wa andũ ũngĩkaaga kũherithia mũndũ ũcio ũheanĩte ũmwe wa ciana ciake kũrĩ Moleku, mage kũmũũraga-rĩ,
5 I will disown them and their family, and expel them from their people—and not just them, but everyone who follows them in spiritually prostituting themselves with Molech.
nĩngahũgũkĩra mũndũ ũcio, hamwe na andũ a nyũmba yake, na ndĩmaingate kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao, we mwene na arĩa othe mamũrũmagĩrĩra na kũhũũra ũmaraya na Moleku.
6 I will also disown and expel from their people anyone who goes to mediums or spiritists and in this way commits spiritual prostitution with them.
“‘Nĩngahũgũkĩra mũndũ ũrĩa ũtuĩragia maũndũ kuuma kũrĩ andũ arĩa marĩ na maroho ma kũragũra na kuuma kũrĩ arogi, nĩguo ahũũre ũmaraya na ũndũ wa kũmarũmĩrĩra, na nĩngamũingata kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao.
7 So dedicate yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God.
“‘Mwĩyamũrei mũtuĩke atheru tondũ niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova Ngai wanyu.
8 Keep my rules and put them into practice. I am the Lord who makes you holy.
Rũmagiai irĩra ciakwa cia watho na mũcirũmagĩrĩre. Niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova, ũrĩa ũmũtheragia.
9 Anyone who curses their father or mother must be executed. They have cursed their father or mother; they bear the responsibility for their punishment.
“‘Mũndũ o wothe ũngĩruma ithe kana arume nyina, no nginya ooragwo. Nĩarumĩte ithe kana akaruma nyina, na thakame yake nĩĩkamũcookerera.
10 Any man who commits adultery with someone else's wife must be executed, as well as the woman.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩtharia na mũtumia wa mũndũ ũngĩ, atharie na mũtumia wa mũndũ wa itũũra rĩake, itharia icio cierĩ, mũndũ mũrũme ũcio na mũtumia, no nginya mooragwo.
11 A man who has sex with his father's wife has brought shame on his father. Both the man and the woman must be executed. Both must surely be put to death; they bear the responsibility for their punishment.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũtumia wa ithe, nĩaconorithĩtie ithe. Mũndũ mũrũme ũcio na mũtumia ũcio eerĩ no nginya mooragwo; thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.
12 A man who has sex with his daughter-in-law must be executed, as well as the woman. They have done something perverse; they bear the responsibility for their punishment.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũtumia wa mũriũ, eerĩ no nginya mooragwo. Ũndũ ũcio mekĩte nĩ waganu ũkĩrĩte njano; thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.
13 Men who have sex with other men as with a woman have done something disgusting. They must be executed; they bear the responsibility for their punishment.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũndũ mũrũme ũngĩ ta ũrĩa mũndũ akomaga na mũndũ-wa-nja-rĩ, andũ acio eerĩ nĩmekĩte ũndũ ũrĩ magigi. No nginya mooragwo; thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.
14 A man who marries both a woman and her mother has acted perversely. They must all be burned to death so that there will be no such wickedness among you.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩhikia mũndũ-wa-nja na ahikie nyina, ũcio nĩ waganu. Mũndũ mũrũme ũcio na andũ-a-nja acio eerĩ no nginya macinwo na mwaki, nĩgeetha gũtikanakorwo na waganu thĩinĩ wanyu.
15 A man who has sex with an animal must be executed, and the animal must be killed too.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na nyamũ-rĩ, no nginya mũndũ ũcio ooragwo, na no nginya mũũrage nyamũ ĩyo.
16 A woman who gives herself to an animal to have sex with it must be executed, along with the animal. They must both be killed; they bear the responsibility for their punishment.
“‘Mũndũ-wa-nja angĩĩtwarĩrĩra harĩ nyamũ nĩguo akome nayo-rĩ, nĩmũkooraga mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio hamwe na nyamũ ĩyo. No nginya mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio ooragwo na nyamũ ĩyo yũragwo; thakame yake nĩĩkamũcookerera, na thakame ya nyamũ ĩyo ĩmĩcookerere.
17 A man who marries his sister, whether she's his father's daughter or his mother's daughter, and they have sex, has done something shameful. They must be expelled from their people in front of everybody. He has brought shame on his sister; he bears the responsibility for his punishment.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩhikia mwarĩ wa ithe, arĩ mwarĩ wa ithe kana wa nyina, na makomanie, icio nĩ njono. No nginya maingatwo mehere kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao. Nĩaconorithĩtie mwarĩ wa ithe. Na nĩagacookererwo nĩ ũũru ũcio ekĩte.
18 A man who has sex with a woman having her period he has exposed where her blood flow comes from, and she has too. They must both be expelled from their people.
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme angĩkoma na mũndũ-wa-nja hĩndĩ yake ya mweri, nĩaguũria riurĩro rĩake, o nake mũndũ-wa-nja ũcio agakĩguũria riurĩro rĩa thakame yake. Andũ acio eerĩ nĩmakaingatwo kuuma kũrĩ andũ ao.
19 Don't have sex with your aunt, whether on your father or your mother's side, because it brings shame on your own family. Both will bear responsibility for their sin.
“‘Ndũkanakome na tataguo kana mwarĩ wa nyina na thoguo, nĩ ũndũ gwĩka ũguo nĩ gũconorithia mũndũ ũrĩa mũrĩ rũrĩra; inyuĩ eerĩ nĩmũgacookererwo nĩ ũũru ũcio mwĩkĩte.
20 A man who has sex with his uncle's wife brings shame on his uncle. They will bear responsibility for their sin; they shall die without having children.
“‘Mũndũ angĩkoma na tatawe-rĩ, nĩaconorithĩtie mamawe. Nĩmagacookererwo nĩ ũũru ũcio mekĩte; magaakua matarĩ magĩa mwana.
21 A man who marries his brother's wife does something that is unclean. He has brought shame on his brother; the couple will have no children.
“‘Mũndũ angĩhikia mũtumia wa mũrũ wa nyina ũcio nĩ thaahu, nĩaconorithĩtie mũrũ wa nyina. Megũtũũra matarĩ magĩa mwana.
22 So keep all my rules and regulations, so that the land where I'm taking you to live won't vomit you out.
“‘Rũmagiai irĩra ciakwa ciothe cia watho, na mawatho makwa mũmarũmagĩrĩre, nĩguo mũtũũre bũrũri ũrĩa ndĩramũtwara, na nĩgeetha ndũkanamũtahĩke.
23 Don't follow the practices of the nations I'm expelling for you. I detested them because they did all these evil things.
Mũtikanatũũre kũringana na mĩtugo ya ndũrĩrĩ iria ngũingata imweherere. Ndacimenire nĩ tondũ nĩciekire maũndũ macio mothe.
24 But I have promised you that you will take over their land. I'm going to give it to you to own, a land that flows with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, who has made you a distinctive people different from all others.
No niĩ ngĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Nĩmũkegwatĩra bũrũri wao; nĩngamũhe guo ũtuĩke igai rĩanyu, bũrũri ũrĩ bũthi wa iria na ũũkĩ.” Niĩ nĩ niĩ Jehova Ngai wanyu, ũrĩa wamwamũrire kuuma kũrĩ ndũrĩrĩ.
25 So make sure you observe the difference between clean and unclean animals and birds. Don't make yourselves unclean because of any animal or bird, or by anything that runs along the ground. I have made the difference clear: they are unclean for you.
“‘Nĩ ũndũ ũcio no nginya mũkũũranage nyamũ iria itarĩ thaahu na iria irĩ thaahu, na nyoni iria itarĩ thaahu na iria irĩ thaahu. Mũtikanethaahie na nyamũ kana nyoni o na ĩrĩkũ, kana kĩndũ o gĩothe gĩthiiagĩra thĩ, iria ciothe ndaamũranirie tondũ irĩ thaahu harĩ inyuĩ.
26 You shall be holy to me because I am holy. I am the Lord, and I have made you a distinctive people different from all other nations. You belong to me.
No nginya mũtuĩke atheru harĩ niĩ, tondũ niĩ, Jehova, ndĩ mũtheru, na nĩndĩmwamũranĩtie na ndũrĩrĩ iria ingĩ mũtuĩke akwa kĩũmbe.
27 Anyone, man or a woman, who is a medium or a spiritist must be executed. They are to be stoned to death; they bear the responsibility for their punishment.”
“‘Mũndũ mũrũme kana mũndũ-wa-nja ũrĩ maroho marĩa maragũraga kana mũrogi thĩinĩ wanyu, no nginya makooragwo. Mũmahũũre na mahiga nyuguto. Thakame yao nĩĩkamacookerera.’”
