Lamentations 5
1 Lord, please remember what's happened to us. Look at us and see how we've been humiliated!
ヱホバよ我らにありし所の事をおもひたまへ 我らの恥辱をかへりみ觀たまへ
2 The land we used to own has been handed over to strangers, our houses have been given to foreigners.
われらの産業は外國人に歸し われらの家屋は他國人の有となれり
3 We have lost our fathers, and our mothers are widows.
われらは孤子となりて父あらず われらの母は寡婦にひとし
4 The water we drink we have to pay for; our firewood comes at a price.
われらは金を出して自己の水を飮み おのれの薪を得るにも價をはらふ
5 Like animals we're driven along with harnesses around our necks; we're worn out but don't find any rest.
われらを追ふ者われらの頸に迫る 我らは疲れて休むことを得ず
6 We allied ourselves with Egypt and Assyria so we could have plenty of food.
食物を得て饑を凌がんとてエジプト人およびアッスリヤ人に手を與へたり
7 Our forefathers sinned and they're gone, but we're being punished for their sins.
われらの父は罪ををかして已に世にあらず 我らその罪を負ふなり
8 Servants of our conqueror rule over us; no one can save us from their power.
奴僕等われらを制するに誰ありて我らを之が手よりすくひ出すものなし
9 We take our lives in our hands when we look for food, because of the armed raiders in the desert.
荒野の刀兵の故によりて我ら死を冒して食物を得
10 Our skin is hot like an oven because of the fever caused by hunger.
饑饉の烈しき熱氣によりてわれらの皮膚は爐のごとく熱し
11 They raped women in Zion, virgins in the towns of Judah.
シオンにて婦人等をかされユダの邑々にて處女等けがさる
12 Princes have been hung up by their hands; they show elders no respect.
侯伯たる者も敵の手にて吊され 老たる者の面も尊とばれず
13 Young men are forced to work at hand-mills; boys stagger under bundles of wood.
少き者は石磨を擔はせられ 童子は薪を負ふてよろめき
14 The elders have abandoned their places at the city gate; the young men have given up playing their music.
長老は門にあつまることを止め 少き者はその音樂を廢せり
15 There's no more happiness for us; our dancing has turned into mourning.
我らが心の快樂はすでに罷み われらの跳舞はかはりて悲哀となり
16 The crown has fallen from our head. What a disaster has come upon us because we have sinned!
われらの冠冕は首より落たり われら罪ををかしたれば禍なるかな
17 Because of all this, we're sick at heart; because of all these things, we can hardly look;
これが爲に我らの心うれへ これらのために我らが目くらくなれり
18 Because of Mount Zion, which has been abandoned, and where only foxes roam.
シオンの山は荒はて 山犬はその上を歩くなり
19 But you, Lord, live forever! You rule for all generations!
ヱホバよなんぢは永遠に在す なんぢの御位は世々かぎりなし
20 So why have you forgotten us for such a long time? Why have you abandoned us for so many years?
何とて我らを永く忘れ われらを斯ひさしく棄おきたまふや
21 Bring us back to you, Lord, so we can be with you again. Please remake our lives like they used to be.
ヱホバよねがはくは我らをして汝に歸らしめたまへ われら歸るべし 我らの日を新にして昔日の日のごとくならしめたまへ
22 Or have you have completely rejected us? Are you still really furious with us?
さりとも汝まつたく我らを棄たまひしや 痛くわれらを怒りゐたまふや
