Judges 9
1 Abimelech, son of Jerub-baal, went to his mother's brothers at Shechem and told them and all his mother's relatives,
၁ဂိဒေါင်၏သားအဘိမလက်သည်ရှေခင်မြို့ ရှိမိခင်ဘက်မှ ဆွေမျိုးအပေါင်းတို့ထံသို့ သွား၍မြို့သူမြို့သားတို့အား``သင်တို့သည် ဂိဒေါင်၏သားခုနစ်ဆယ်စလုံး၏အုပ်စိုး မှုကိုခံယူလိုကြပါသလော။ သို့တည်း မဟုတ်လူတစ်ဦးတည်း၏အုပ်စိုးမှုကို ခံယူလိုကြပါသလော။ အဘိမလက် သည်သင်တို့၏သွေးရင်းသားရင်းဖြစ် သည်ကိုမမေ့ပါနှင့်'' ဟုပြောကြားစေ၏။-
2 “Please ask all the leaders of Shechem, ‘What's best for you? That seventy men, all of them Jerub-baal's sons, rule over you—or just one man?’ Remember I'm your own flesh and blood!”

3 His mother's brothers shared his proposal with all the leaders of Shechem, and they decided to follow Abimelech, because they said, “He is our relative.”
၃သူ့မိခင်၏ဆွေမျိုးသားချင်းတို့သည်လည်း ရှေခင်မြို့သားများအား ဤအကြောင်းကိစ္စ ကိုသူ၏ကိုယ်စားတင်ပြကြ၏။ အဘိ မလက်သည်မိမိတို့နှင့်ဆွေမျိုးတော်စပ် သူဖြစ်သဖြင့် ရှေခင်မြို့သားများကသူ ၏နောက်သို့လိုက်ရန်ဆုံးဖြတ်လိုက်ကြ လေသည်။-
4 They gave him seventy shekels of silver from the temple of Baal-berith. Abimelech used the money to hire some arrogant troublemakers as his gang.
၄သူတို့သည်မိမိတို့ပဋိညာဉ်ပြုထားသည့် ဗာလဘုရား၏ဝတ်ကျောင်းမှ ငွေအခွက် ခုနစ်ဆယ်ကိုအဘိမလက်အားပေးကြ၏။ ထိုငွေဖြင့်သူသည်အခြေအနေမဲ့သူလူ ခုနစ်ဆယ်အား မိမိနောက်သို့လိုက်ရန်ငှား ရမ်းပြီးလျှင်၊-
5 He went to his father's house in Ophrah, and on one stone killed his seventy half-brothers, the sons of Jerub-baal. But Jotham, Jerub-baal's youngest son, escaped by going into hiding.
၅သြဖရမြို့ရှိဖခင်၏အိမ်သို့သွား၍ဂိဒေါင် ၏သားများဖြစ်ကြသော မိမိ၏ညီအစ်ကို ခုနစ်ဆယ်တို့ကိုကျောက်တုံးတစ်ခုတည်း ပေါ်၌သတ်လေသည်။ သို့ရာတွင်ဂိဒေါင်၏ သားထွေးယောသံသည် ပုန်းရှောင်နေသော ကြောင့်အသက်ဘေးမှလွတ်မြောက်သွား၏။-
6 Then the leaders of Shechem and Beth-millo all assembled by the oak at the pillar in Shechem and made Abimelech their king.
၆ထိုနောက်ရှေခင်မြို့နှင့်ဗေသမိလ္လောမြို့မှ မြို့သားအပေါင်းတို့သည်စုဝေးလျက် ရှေခင် မြို့ရှိအထိမ်းအမှတ်သပိတ်ပင်သို့သွား ရောက်၍ အဘိမလက်အားမင်းမြှောက်ကြ လေသည်။
7 When Jotham got to hear this, he went up to the top of Mount Gerizim, and shouted in a loud voice: “Listen to me, leaders of Shechem, and God may to listen to you!
၇ဤအခြင်းအရာကိုယောသံကြားသိသော အခါ ဂေရဇိမ်တောင်ထိပ်သို့တက်၍ရပ်ပြီး လျှင် အော်ဟစ်၍ဤသို့ဆို၏။ ``အချင်းရှေခင် မြို့သားတို့၊ ငါ့စကားကိုနားထောင်ကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင်ဘုရားသခင်သည်လည်း သင်တို့ ၏စကားကိုနားထောင်ကောင်းနားထောင် တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။-
8 Once upon a time the trees were determined to anoint a king to rule over them. They said to the olive tree, ‘You shall be our king.’
၈အခါတစ်ပါးကသစ်ပင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့ အတွက် ဘုရင်ရွေးချယ်ရန်ထွက်သွားခဲ့ကြ ၏။ သူတို့သည်သံလွင်ပင်အား`ငါတို့အပေါ် ၌မင်းလုပ်အုပ်စိုးပါ' ဟုပြောကြားကြ၏။-
9 But the olive tree replied, ‘Should I stop giving my rich oil that benefits both gods and men just to go and sway to and fro over the trees?’
၉သံလွင်ပင်က`သင်တို့အားအုပ်စိုးရမည်ဆို လျှင် ငါသည်ဘုရားသခင်၏ဂုဏ်အသရေ နှင့်လူတို့၏ဂုဏ်အသရေကိုပြုစုပေးရာ ဖြစ်သော ငါ၏အဆီကိုထုတ်ပေးမှုမှ ရပ်စဲရပေလိမ့်မည်' ဟုပြန်ပြောလေသည်။-
10 Then the trees asked the fig tree, ‘You come and be our king.’
၁၀ထိုအခါသစ်ပင်တို့သည်သင်္ဘောသဖန်းပင်ထံ သို့သွား၍`ငါတို့အပေါ်၌မင်းလုပ်အုပ်စိုးပါ' ဟုတောင်းပန်ကြ၏။-
11 But the fig tree replied, ‘Should I stop giving my good sweet fruit just to go and sway to and fro over the trees?’
၁၁သို့ရာတွင်သင်္ဘောသဖန်းပင်က`သင်တို့အား အုပ်စိုးနိုင်ရန် ငါသည်ကောင်း၍ချိုမြိန်သော အသီးများကိုသီးပေးခြင်းမှရပ်စဲရပေ လိမ့်မည်' ဟုဆို၏။-
12 Then the trees asked the grape vine, ‘You come and be our king.’
၁၂သို့ဖြစ်၍သစ်ပင်တို့သည်စပျစ်နွယ်ပင်ထံ သို့သွားရောက်ကာ`သင်သည်လာ၍ငါတို့ အပေါ်၌မင်းလုပ်အုပ်စိုးပါ' ဟုပန်ကြား ကြ၏။-
13 But the grape vine replied, ‘Should I stop giving my wine that makes both gods and men happy just to go and sway to and fro over the trees?’
၁၃သို့ရာတွင်စပျစ်နွယ်ပင်က`သင်တို့အားအုပ်စိုး နိုင်ရန် ငါသည်ဘုရားသခင်၏စိတ်နှင့်လူ၏ စိတ်ကိုရွှင်လန်းစေတတ်သော စပျစ်ရည်ကို ထုတ်လုပ်ပေးမှုမှရပ်စဲလိုက်ရပေလိမ့်မည်' ဟုပြန်ပြောလေသည်။-
14 Then all the trees asked the thorn bush, ‘You come and be our king.’
၁၄ထို့ကြောင့်သစ်ပင်အပေါင်းတို့သည်ဆူးချုံ အား မိမိတို့အပေါ်၌မင်းလုပ်အုပ်စိုးရန် လျှောက်ထားကြ၏။-
15 The thorn bush replied to the trees, ‘If you're really sincere about anointing me as your king, come and find shelter in my shade. But if not, may fire flame out of the thorn bush and burn up the cedars of Lebanon!’
၁၅ဆူးချုံကလည်း`အကယ်၍သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ အားအမှန်ပင် မိမိတို့အပေါ်၌မင်းလုပ် အုပ်စိုးစေလိုပါမူငါ၏အရိပ်တွင်ဝင် ရောက်ခိုလှုံ၍နေကြလော့။ ယင်းသို့ခိုလှုံခြင်း မပြုဘဲနေခဲ့သော်ငါ၏အခက်အလက် များအကြားမှမီးထွက်၍ လေဗနုန်အာရစ် ပင်တို့ကိုလောင်ကျွမ်းသွားစေလိမ့်မည်' ဟု ပြန်ပြောလေသည်။
16 Have you acted sincerely and honestly by making Abimelech your king? Have you been acted honorably to Jerub-baal and his family? Have you respected him for all that he accomplished?
၁၆ထိုနောက်ယောသံသည်ဆက်လက်၍``ထို့ကြောင့် သင်တို့သည်အဘိမလက်ကိုမင်းမြှောက်ရာ ၌ အမှန်တကယ်ပင်ရိုးသားစွာသစ္စာစောင့် သိသူများဖြစ်ကြပါ၏လော။ သင်တို့သည် ဂိဒေါင်၏ဂုဏ်ကျေးဇူးကိုအမှတ်ရလျက် သူပြုခဲ့သည့်အမှုအရာများနှင့်ထိုက် လျောက်စွာသူ၏အိမ်ထောင်စုအပေါ်၌ ကျေးဇူးတုံ့ပြန်ရာရောက်ပါ၏လော။-
17 Don't forget how my father fought for you and risked his own life to save you from the Midianites!
၁၇ငါ၏ဖခင်သည်သင်တို့အတွက်စစ်ပွဲဝင်ခဲ့ သည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ မိမိအသက်ကိုပဋ္ဌာန မထားဘဲသင်တို့အား မိဒျန်အမျိုးသားတို့ လက်မှကယ်ဆယ်ခဲ့သည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း အောက်မေ့သတိရကြလော့။-
18 But you have rebelled against my father's family today. You have killed his seventy sons on one stone and have made Abimelech, the son of his slave woman, king over the leaders of Shechem simply because he's related to you.
၁၈သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့သည်ယနေ့ပင်လျှင်သူ၏ အိမ်ထောင်စုအား ဆန့်ကျင်ဘက်ပြုခဲ့ကြ လေပြီ။ သူ၏သားခုနစ်ဆယ်ကိုကျောက်တုံး တစ်ခုတည်းအပေါ်၌သတ်ပစ်ခဲ့ကြလေ ပြီ။ ကျွန်မိန်းမနှင့်ရသောသားအဘိမလက် သည်သင်တို့၏ဆွေမျိုးသားချင်းဖြစ်ကာ မျှဖြင့် သူ့အားသင်တို့မင်းမြှောက်ခဲ့ကြ၏။-
19 Have you acted sincerely and honestly toward Jerub-baal and his family today? If so, may you be happy with Abimelech, and may he be happy with too!
၁၉ထို့ကြောင့်ဂိဒေါင်နှင့်သူ၏အိမ်ထောင်စုအား သင်တို့ယနေ့ပြုသည့်အမှုသည်ရိုးသား ဖြောင့်မှန်သည်ဆိုပါမူ သင်တို့သည်အဘိ မလက်နှင့်အတူတကွဝမ်းမြောက်နိုင်ကြ ပါစေသော။-
20 But if you haven't, then may fire flame out from Abimelech, and may it burn up the leaders of Shechem and Beth-millo, and may fire flame out from the leaders of Shechem and Beth-millo and burn up Abimelech!”
၂၀သို့ရာတွင်အကယ်၍ဤအမှုသည်မရိုး မဖြောင့်လျှင်မူကား အဘိမလက်ထံမှ မီးလျှံထွက်၍ရှေခင်မြို့နှင့်ဗေသမိလ္လောမြို့ ရှိလူတို့အားကျွမ်းလောင်ပါစေသော။ ရှေခင် မြို့နှင့်ဗေသမိလ္လောမြို့ရှိလူတို့ထံမှလည်း မီးလျှံထွက်၍အဘိမလက်အားကျွမ်း လောင်ပါစေသော။''
21 Then Jotham escaped and ran away. He went to Beer and stayed there because of the threat of Abimelech his brother.
၂၁ထိုနောက်ယောသံသည်မိမိအစ်ကိုအဘိ မလက်ကိုကြောက်သဖြင့် ထွက်ပြေးပြီး လျှင်ဗေရမြို့သို့သွားရောက်နေထိုင်လေ၏။-
22 Abimelech ruled over Israel for three years.
၂၂အဘိမလက်သည်ဣသရေလပြည်ကို သုံးနှစ်မျှအုပ်စိုးရ၏။ ထိုနောက်ဘုရားသခင်သည်သူနှင့်ရှေခင်မြို့သားတို့အား ပဋိပက္ခဖြစ်စေတော်မူသဖြင့် ထိုသူတို့ သည်အဘိမလက်အားပုန်ကန်ကြ၏။-
23 Then God sent an evil spirit to cause trouble between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem. The leaders of Shechem betrayed Abimelech.
၂၃
24 This happened because of the murder of the seventy sons of Jerub-baal and that responsibility for their blood be placed on Abimelech their brother, who killed them, and on the leaders of Shechem, who provided the means to kill his brothers.
၂၄ဤသို့ဖြစ်ပျက်ရခြင်းမှာဂိဒေါင်၏သား ခုနစ်ဆယ်ကိုသတ်ပစ်ရန် အားပေးသူရှေခင် မြို့သားများနှင့်အဘိမလက်အား မိမိတို့ ကူးလွန်ခဲ့သည့်အပြစ်၏အခကိုပေးဆပ် ကြစေရန်ပင်ဖြစ်သတည်း။-
25 The leaders of Shechem sent men to the hill passes to lie in wait and attack Abimelech, and, in the meantime, they robbed everyone who passed by on the road. Abimelech found out what was happening.
၂၅ရှေခင်မြို့သားတို့သည်အဘိမလက်အား တောင်ထိပ်များတွင် ချုံခိုချောင်းမြောင်းစေရန် အစောင့်ထားကြ၏။ ထိုအစောင့်တို့သည်ဖြတ် သန်းသွားလာသူတို့၏ဥစ္စာပစ္စည်းများကို လု ယူကြ၏။ ထိုသတင်းကိုအဘိမလက်ကြား သိရလေသည်။
26 Gaal, son of Ebed, had moved to Shechem with his relatives, and he gained the loyalty of the leaders of Shechem.
၂၆ထိုအခါ၌ဧဗက်၏သားဂါလသည်မိမိညီ အစ်ကိုများနှင့်အတူ ရှေခင်မြို့သို့ရောက်ရှိလာ ၏။ ရှေခင်မြို့သားတို့ကလည်းသူ့အားယုံကြည် အားကိုးကြ၏။-
27 At harvest time they went out into the countryside and gathered the grapes from their vineyards and trod them. They celebrated by having a festival in the temple of their god, where they ate and drank, and cursed Abimelech.
၂၇ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့သည်စပျစ်ဥယျာဉ်များ သို့သွားရောက်ကာ စပျစ်သီးများကိုခူး၍ စပျစ်ရည်ပြုလုပ်ပြီးလျှင် ပွဲလမ်းသဘင် တစ်ရပ်ကိုဆင်နွှဲကြ၏။ သူတို့သည်မိမိ တို့၏ဘုရားဝတ်ကျောင်းသို့သွား၍ စား သောက်ကာအဘိမလက်အားပြက်ရယ် ပြုကြ၏။-
28 “Who is this Abimelech?” asked Gaal, son of Ebed. “And who is Shechem, that we should have to serve him? Isn't he the son of Jerub-baal, while Zebul is actually the one in charge? You should serve the family of Hamor, the father of Shechem. Why should we have to serve Abimelech?
၂၈ဂါလက``ငါတို့ရှေခင်မြို့သားများကား အဘယ်သို့သောသူများပေနည်း။ အဘိ မလက်၏အစေကိုအဘယ်ကြောင့်ငါတို့ ခံနေကြပါသနည်း။ သူကားအဘယ်သူ နည်း။ သူသည်ဂိဒေါင်၏သားမဟုတ်လော။ ဇေဗုလသည်သူ၏အမိန့်ကိုနာခံရသော် လည်း ငါတို့ကားအဘယ်ကြောင့်သူ၏အစေ ကိုခံပါမည်နည်း။ သင်တို့သားချင်းစုကို စတင်တည်ထောင်ပေးခဲ့သူဟာမော်အား သစ္စာစောင့်ကြလော့။-
29 If I was the one in charge of you people, I would dispose of Abimelech! I would tell him, ‘Get your army together, and come and fight!’”
၂၉အကယ်၍ငါသာဤလူစု၏ခေါင်းဆောင်ဖြစ် ပါလျှင် အဘိမလက်ကိုဖယ်ရှားပစ်မည်။ `သင် ၏တပ်ကိုအင်အားဖြည့်၍ ငါ့ကိုလာရောက် တိုက်ခိုက်လော့' ဟုသူ့အားငါပြောမည်။''
30 When Zebul, the governor of the city, got to hear what Gaal was saying, he became very angry.
၃၀မြို့အုပ်ဇေဗုလသည်ဂါလ၏စကားကို ကြားသောအခါ အမျက်ထွက်သဖြင့်၊-
31 He secretly sent messengers to Abimelech to tell him, “Look, Gaal, son of Ebed, and his relatives have arrived in Shechem, and they are stirring up the town to rebel against you.
၃၁စေတမန်များကိုလွှတ်၍အရုမမြို့ရှိ အဘိမလက်အားလျှောက်ထားစေ၏။ ``ဧဗက် ၏သားဂါလသည်မိမိညီအစ်ကိုများနှင့် အတူ ရှေခင်မြို့သို့ရောက်ရှိနေပါသည်။ သူတို့ သည်ကိုယ်တော်အားမြို့ထဲသို့ဝင်ခွင့်ပြုကြ လိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်ပါ။-
32 So come at night with your army and hide in the countryside.
၃၂သို့ဖြစ်၍ကိုယ်တော်သည်မိမိ၏လူစုနှင့်ညဥ့် အခါ လာရောက်၍လယ်တောများတွင်ပုန်း အောင်းနေပြီးလျှင်၊-
33 In the morning as soon as the sun comes up, go and attack the town. When Gaal and his men come out to fight you, you can do whatever you want to them.”
၃၃နောက်တစ်နေ့နံနက်နေထွက်ချိန်၌ထ၍မြို့ ကိုရုတ်တရက်တိုက်ခိုက်တော်မူပါ။ ဂါလနှင့် သူ၏လူစုတို့သည်ကိုယ်တော်အားတိုက်ခိုက် ရန်ထွက်လာသောအခါ ကိုယ်တော်သည်မိမိ ၏အလုံးအရင်းနှင့်သူတို့ကိုတိုက်ခိုက် တော်မူပါ။''
34 Abimelech left at night along with his army, and they separated into four companies that lay in wait near Shechem.
၃၄သို့ဖြစ်၍အဘိမလက်နှင့်သူ၏လူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ညဥ့်အခါလာရောက်ပြီးလျှင်လေးစု ခွဲ၍ရှေခင်မြို့ပြင်၌ပုန်းအောင်းနေကြ၏။-
35 When Gaal, son of Ebed, went out and stood at the town's entrance gate, Abimelech and his army came out from where they had been hiding.
၃၅သူတို့သည်ဂါလထွက်၍မြို့တခါးဝ၌ရပ် နေသည်ကိုမြင်သောအခါ မိမိတို့ပုန်းအောင်း ရာမှထွက်လာကြ၏။-
36 Gaal saw the army approaching and said to Zebul, “Look! Some people are coming down from the hilltops!” “That's just shadows made by the hills that look like men,” Zebul replied.
၃၆ဂါလသည်သူတို့ကိုမြင်သဖြင့်ဇေဗုလ အား``ကြည့်လော့၊ တောင်ထိပ်များပေါ်မှလူ တို့ဆင်းလာနေကြ၏'' ဟုဆို၏။ ဇေဗုလက``ထိုအရာတို့သည်လူများမဟုတ်။ တောင်မှကျလာသောအရိပ်များသာဖြစ်သည်'' ဟုပြန်ပြော၏။
37 “No really, people are coming down from the high ground,” Gaal repeated. “Plus, there's another company coming down the road that passes the diviners' oak tree.”
၃၇ဂါလကလည်း``ကြည့်လော့၊ တောင်ထိပ်ပေါ်မှလူ များဆင်းလာနေကြ၏။ လူတစ်စုသည်ဗေဒင် ဆရာသပိတ်ပင်မှလာသောလမ်းဖြင့်လာ နေကြ၏'' ဟုဆိုပြန်၏။
38 “Where's your big mouth now? You're the one who said, ‘Who is this Abimelech, that we should have to serve him?’” Zebul told him. “Aren't these the people you detested? Go on then—go and fight with them!”
၃၈ထိုအခါဇေဗုလက``သင်၏လေလုံးကြီး သမျှသည် ယခုအဘယ်သို့ရောက်ရှိသွားပြီ နည်း။ ဤသူအဘိမလက်၏အစေကို ငါတို့ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ခံပါမည်နည်းဟုပြောဆိုခဲ့ သူမှာသင်ပင်မဟုတ်ပါလော။ ထိုသူတို့သည် ကား သင်မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြောဆိုခဲ့သူများဖြစ် သည်။ ယခုသင်ထွက်၍သူတို့အားတိုက်ခိုက် ပါလော့'' ဟုဆို၏။-
39 So Gaal led the leaders of Shechem out of the town and fought with Abimelech.
၃၉ဂါလသည်ရှေခင်မြို့သားတို့ကိုရှေ့ဆောင်၍ အဘိမလက်အားတိုက်လေသည်။ အဘိမလက် သည်ဂါလကိုလိုက်၍တိုက်၏။-
40 Abimelech attacked, and chased him and his men as they ran away, killing many of them as they tried to get back to the town gate.
၄၀ထိုအခါဂါလထွက်ပြေးလေ၏။ မြို့တံခါး အနီး၌ပင်လျှင် လူအမြောက်အမြားထိခိုက် ဒဏ်ရာရရှိကြသည်။-
41 Abimelech went back to Arumah while Zebul expelled Gaal and his relatives from Shechem.
၄၁အဘိမလက်သည်အရုမမြို့၌နေ၏။ ဇေဗုလ သည်ဂါလနှင့်သူ၏ညီအစ်ကိုများအားရှေခင် မြို့မှနှင်ထုတ်လိုက်ရာ သူတို့သည်ထိုမြို့သို့ နောက်တစ်ဖန်လာရောက်နေထိုင်ခြင်းမပြုနိုင် တော့ချေ။
42 The following day the people of Shechem went out to the fields, and Abimelech was informed about it.
၄၂နောက်တစ်နေ့၌ရှေခင်မြို့သားတို့သည်လယ် တောသို့ထွက်ရန် အကြံအစည်ပြုလျက်ရှိ ကြောင်းကိုအဘိမလက်ကြားသိရသဖြင့်၊-
43 He divided his army into three companies and had them lay in ambush in the fields. When he saw the people coming out of the city, he attacked and killed them.
၄၃မိမိ၏လူတို့ကိုသုံးစုခွဲ၍လယ်များတွင်ပုန်း အောင်းစောင့်ဆိုင်းလျက်နေ၏။ မြို့ထဲမှလူတို့ ထွက်လာသည်ကိုမြင်လျှင် သူသည်ပုန်းအောင်း ရာမှထွက်၍သူတို့အားလုပ်ကြံလေ၏။-
44 Abimelech and his company raced to occupy the town's entrance gate, while the two companies raced to attack everyone in the fields and kill them.
၄၄အဘိမလက်နှင့်သူ၏လူစုသည်မြို့တံခါး ကိုစောင့်ထိန်းရန်သွားကြစဉ် အခြားလူနှစ်စု တို့လယ်ထဲမှလူတို့အားတိုက်ခိုက်သတ်ဖြတ် ပစ်လိုက်ကြလေသည်။-
45 The battle for the town lasted all day but eventually Abimelech captured it. He killed the people, demolished the town, and scattered salt over the ground.
၄၅တိုက်ပွဲမှာတစ်နေကုန်တစ်နေခန်းဖြစ်သတည်း။ အဘိမလက်သည်မြို့ကိုသိမ်းယူလိုက်ပြီးနောက် မြို့သားတို့ကိုသတ်ဖြတ်၍ မြို့ရိုးတို့ကိုဖြိုချ ကာမြို့တည်ရာကိုဆားနှင့်ကြဲဖြန့်လေသည်။
46 When all the leaders of the tower of Shechem realized what had happened, they took refuge in the strongroom of the temple of El-berith.
၄၆ရှေခင်ရဲတိုက်ရှိခေါင်းဆောင်အပေါင်းတို့သည် ထိုသတင်းကိုကြားသောအခါ မိမိတို့ပဋိ ညာဉ်ပြုထားသည့်ဗာလဘုရားဝတ်ကျောင်း ရှိခိုင်ခံ့သောအခန်းထဲသို့ဝင်၍နေကြ၏။-
47 When Abimelech found out that all the leaders in the tower of Shechem had gathered there,
၄၇ယင်းသို့သူတို့ဝင်နေကြကြောင်းကိုအဘိ မလက်သိလေလျှင်၊-
48 he and all the men with him went up Mount Zalmon. Abimelech grabbed hold of an ax and cut a branch from the trees. He lifted it onto his shoulder, and told his men, “Quick! You saw what I did. Do the same!”
၄၈မိမိ၏လူတို့နှင့်အတူဇာလမုန်တောင်သို့ တက်ပြီးနောက် ပုဆိန်ဖြင့်သစ်ကိုင်းတစ်ခုကို ခုတ်၍ထမ်း၏။ မိမိ၏လူတို့အားလည်းထို နည်းတူအလျင်အမြန်ပြုရန်ပြောလေသည်။-
49 Each of them cut down a branch and followed Abimelech. They placed the branches against the strongroom and set it on fire. So all the people who lived in the tower of Shechem died, around one thousand men and women.
၄၉သို့ဖြစ်၍လူတိုင်းပင်သစ်ကိုင်းတစ်ခုစီကို ခုတ်၍ အဘိမလက်၏နောက်ကလိုက်ပြီးလျှင် ခိုင်ခံ့သောအခန်းကိုမီးပုံရှို့ကြ၏။ ရဲတိုက် ထဲမှလူအပေါင်းတို့သည်သေကြကုန်၏။ ဤသူတို့၏အရေအတွက်မှာယောကျာ်း မိန်းမတစ်ထောင်ခန့်ရှိသတည်း။
50 Then Abimelech went to attack Thebez and captured it.
၅၀ထိုနောက်အဘိမလက်သည် သေဗတ်မြို့သို့ သွားရောက်ဝိုင်းရံထားပြီးလျှင်သိမ်းယူ လိုက်လေသည်။-
51 But there was a strong tower inside the city. All the men and women and the town leaders ran there and barricaded themselves in, and then went up to the roof of the tower.
၅၁မြို့ထဲ၌ခိုင်ခံ့သည့်ရဲတိုက်ရှိ၏။ ခေါင်းဆောင် များအပါအဝင်ယောကျာ်းမိန်းမအပေါင်း တို့သည် ထိုရဲတိုက်ထဲသို့ဝင်ပြေးကြ၏။ သူ တို့သည်ရဲတိုက်ကိုအလုံပိတ်ပြီးလျှင် ခေါင်မိုးပေါ်သို့တက်၍နေကြ၏။-
52 Abimelech went up to the tower to attack it. But as he came close to the tower's entrance to set it on fire,
၅၂အဘိမလက်သည်လည်းရဲတိုက်ကိုတိုက်ခိုက် ရန်လာ၏။ သူသည်ရဲတိုက်တံခါးကိုမီးရှို့ရန် ချဉ်းကပ်သောအခါ၊-
53 a woman dropped millstone down on Abimelech's head and cracked his skull open.
၅၃အမျိုးသမီးတစ်ယောက်သည်ကျိတ်ဆုံကျောက် တစ်လုံးကို သူ၏ဦးခေါင်းပေါ်သို့ပစ်ချလိုက် သဖြင့်သူ၏ဦးခေါင်းကွဲ၍သွားလေသည်။-
54 He quickly called the young man who carried his weapons, and ordered him, “Draw your sword and kill me, so they won't say about me that a woman killed him.” So the young man drove his sword through him, and he died.
၅၄ထိုအခါသူသည်မိမိ၏လက်နက်ကိုကိုင် ဆောင်သောလူငယ်အား အလျင်အမြန်ခေါ် ပြီးလျှင်``သင်၏ဋ္ဌားကိုဋ္ဌားအိမ်မှထုတ်၍ ငါ့ကိုသတ်လော့။ ငါသည်အမျိုးသမီး၏ လက်ချက်ဖြင့်သေရသည်ဟူ၍အပြောမခံ လို'' ဟုဆို၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍လူငယ်သည်အဘိ မလက်အားဋ္ဌားနှင့်ထိုး၍သတ်လိုက်လေ သည်။-
55 When the Israelites saw that Abimelech was dead, they all left and went home.
၅၅ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် အဘိမလက် သေကြောင်းကိုကြားသိကြသောအခါ မိမိ တို့အိမ်သို့ပြန်သွားကြ၏။
56 This is how God paid back Abimelech's crime against his father of murdering his seventy brothers.
၅၆ထိုသို့အဘိမလက်သည်မိမိ၏ညီအစ်ကို ခုနစ်ဆယ်ကိုသတ်ဖြတ်ခြင်းဖြင့် ဖခင်အား ပြုမိသည့်ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်အတွက်ဘုရားသခင်ဒဏ်ခံစေတော်မူ၏။-
57 He also repaid the people of Shechem for their evil, and the curse of Jotham, son of Jerub-baal, came down upon them.
၅၇ဂိဒေါင်၏သားယောသံကျိန်ဆဲခဲ့သည့် စကားအတိုင်းရှေခင်မြို့သားတို့သည်လည်း မိမိတို့၏ဆိုးယုတ်မှုအတွက်အပြစ်ဒဏ် ခံစေတော်မူသတည်း။
