Judges 5
1 That day Deborah and Barak, son of Abinoam, sang this song:

11 what people are talking about as they gather at the watering holes. They describe the Lord's just acts and those of his warriors in Israel. Then the people of the Lord went to the town gates.
Ubi collisi sunt currus, et hostium suffocatus est exercitus, ibi narrentur iustitiae Domini et clementia in fortes Israel: tunc descendit populus Domini ad portas, et obtinuit principatum.

Duces Issachar fuere cum Debbora, et Barac vestigia sunt secuti, qui quasi in praeceps ac barathrum se discrimini dedit: diviso contra se Ruben, magnanimorum reperta est contentio.

Quare habitas inter duos terminos, ut audias sibilos gregum? diviso contra se Ruben, magnanimorum reperta est contentio.

Galaad trans Iordanem quiescebat, et Dan vacabat navibus: Aser habitabat in littore maris, et in portubus morabatur.
18 The people of Zebulun risked their lives; as did Naphtali on the high battlefields.
Zabulon vero et Nephthali obtulerunt animas suas morti in regione Merome.
19 Kings came and fought, the Canaanite kings fought at Taanach near the waters of Megiddo, but they didn't get any silver plunder.
Venerunt reges et pugnaverunt, pugnaverunt reges Chanaan in Thanach iuxta aquas Mageddo, et tamen nihil tulere praedantes.
20 The stars fought from heaven. The stars in their courses fought against Sisera.
De caelo dimicatum est contra eos: stellae manentes in ordine et cursu suo, adversus Sisaram pugnaverunt.
21 The Kishon River swept them away—the old river turned into a raging torrent! I bravely march on!

27 At her feet he collapsed, he fell, he lay motionless. At her feet he collapsed, he fell; where he collapsed, there he fell, his life plundered from him.
Inter pedes eius ruit: defecit, et mortuus est: volvebatur ante pedes eius, et iacebat exanimis et miserabilis.
28 Sisera's mother looked out from the window. Through the latticed window she cried out, ‘Why is his chariot taking so long to come? Why is the sound of his chariot arriving so delayed?’
Per fenestram respiciens, ululabat mater eius: et de coenaculo loquebatur: Cur moratur regredi currus eius? quare tardaverunt pedes quadrigarum illius?
29 The wisest of her ladies tells her, and she repeats the same words to herself,
Una sapientior ceteris uxoribus eius, haec socrui verba respondit:
30 ‘They're busy dividing up the plunder and assigning a girl or two for each man. There'll be colorful clothes for Sisera as plunder; beautifully embroidered colorful clothes as plunder; double-embroidered clothing reaching to the neck as plunder.’
Forsitan nunc dividit spolia, et pulcherrima feminarum eligitur ei: vestes diversorum colorum Sisarae traduntur in praedam, et supellex varia ad ornanda colla congeritur.
31 May all your enemies die like this, Lord, but may those who love you shine like the sun in all its brilliance!” The land was at peace for forty years.
Sic pereant omnes inimici tui Domine: qui autem diligunt te, sicut Sol in ortu suo splendet, ita rutilent. Quievitque Terra per quadraginta annos.
