Joshua 21
1 The leaders of the tribe of Levi approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the leaders of the Israelite tribes.
Tada doðoše glavari otaèkih porodica Levitskih k Eleazaru svešteniku i k Isusu sinu Navinu i glavarima porodica otaèkih i plemenima sinova Izrailjevijeh.
2 They spoke to them at Shiloh in Canaan, saying, “The Lord gave instructions through Moses to give us towns to live in, and pastures for our flocks.”
I rekoše im u Silomu u zemlji Hananskoj govoreæi: Gospod je zapovjedio preko Mojsija da nam se dadu gradovi gdje æemo živjeti i podgraða njihova za stoku našu.
3 So, following the Lord's instructions, the Israelites gave towns and pastures to the Levites from their own allocations.
I dadoše sinovi Izrailjevi Levitima od našljedstva svojega po zapovijesti Gospodnjoj ove gradove i podgraða njihova:
4 The lot was cast for the families of the Kothaites. These Levites, descendants of Aaron, were allotted thirteen towns from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
Izide ždrijeb za porodice Katove; i dopade sinovima Arona sveštenika izmeðu Levita ždrijebom trinaest gradova od plemena Judina i od plemena Simeunova i od plemena Venijaminova.
5 The remaining families of the descendants of Kothah were allotted ten towns from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
A ostalijem sinovima Katovijem dopade ždrijebom deset gradova od porodica plemena Jefremova i od plemena Danova i od polovine plemena Manasijina.
6 The families of the descendants of Gershon were allotted thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the half-tribe of Manasseh living in Bashan.
A sinovima Girsonovijem dopade ždrijebom od porodica plemena Isaharova i od plemena Asirova i od plemena Neftalimova i od polovine plemena Manasijina u Vasanu trinaest gradova;
7 The families of the descendants of Merari were allotted twelve towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
Sinovima Merarijevim po porodicama njihovijem od plemena Ruvimova i od plemena Gadova i od plemena Zavulonova dvanaest gradova.
8 So the Israelites gave the Levites by lot these towns and pastures, as the Lord had instructed through Moses.
Dadoše dakle sinovi Izrailjevi Levitima te gradove i podgraða njihova ždrijebom, kao što bješe zapovjedio Gospod preko Mojsija.
9 They gave from the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Simeon the following towns, specifically named,
I dadoše od plemena sinova Judinijeh i od plemena sinova Simeunovijeh ove gradove koji se kazuju po imenima;
10 to the families of the Kothaites, descendants of Aaron, of the tribe of Levi, since the first lot fell to them:
I dopade sinovima Aronovijem od porodica Katovijeh izmeðu sinova Levijevih, za koje pade prvi ždrijeb,
11 Kiriath-arba (or Hebron), in the hill country of Judah, together with the pastures around it. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.)
Njima dopade: Kirijat-Arva, a Arva je otac Anakov, a taj je grad Hevron u gori Judinoj, s podgraðem svojim unaokolo.
12 But the more distant fields from the town and the villages had been given to Caleb son of Jephunneh to own.
A polje oko toga grada i sela njegova dadoše Halevu sinu Jefonijinu u našljedstvo.
13 They gave to the descendants of Aaron the priest the following towns and their pastures: Hebron (a sanctuary town for those who accidentally committed murder), Libnah,
Dadoše dakle sinovima Arona sveštenika grad za utoèište krvniku Hevron s podgraðem, i Livnu s podgraðem.
14 Jattir, Eshtemoa,
I Jatir s podgraðem, i Estemoju s podgraðem,
15 Holon, Debir,
I Olon s podgraðem, i Davir s podgraðem,
16 Ain, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh—nine towns from these two tribes.
I Ajin s podgraðem, i Jutu s podgraðem, i Vet-Semes s podgraðem: devet gradova od ta dva plemena.
17 From the tribe of Benjamin the following four towns and their pastures: Gibeon, Geba,

18 Anathoth, and Almon.
Anatot s podgraðem, i Almon s podgraðem: èetiri grada.
19 So in total thirteen towns and their pastures were given to the priests, the descendants of Aaron.
Svega gradova sinova Arona sveštenika trinaest gradova s podgraðima.
20 As for the remaining families of the children of Kothah from the tribe of Levi, they were given by lot four towns and their pastures from the tribe of Ephraim:
A porodicama sinova Katovijeh, Levitima, što ih još bješe od sinova Katovijeh, dopadoše na njihov ždrijeb gradovi od plemena Jefremova;
21 Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim (a sanctuary town for those who accidentally committed murder), Gezer,
Dopade im grad za utoèište krvniku Sihem s podgraðem u gori Jefremovoj, i Gezer s podgraðem,
22 Kibzaim, and Beth-horon.
I Kivsajim s podgraðem, i Vet-Oron s podgraðem: èetiri grada;
23 From the tribe of Dan, the following four towns and their pastures: Eltekeh, Gibbethon,
A od plemena Danova: Eltekon s podgraðem, Giveton s podgraðem,
24 Aijalon, and Gath-rimmon.
Ajalon s podgraðem, Gat-Rimon s podgraðem: èetiri grada.
25 From the half-tribe of Manasseh the following two towns and their pastures: Taanach and Gath-rimmon.
A od polovine plemena Manasijina: Tanah s podgraðem i Gat-Rimon s podgraðem: dva grada.
26 So in total ten towns and their pastures were given to remaining families of the descendants of Kothah.
Svega deset gradova s podgraðima dadoše porodicama sinova Katovijeh ostalijem.
27 The families of the descendants of Gershon from the tribe of Levi received the following two towns and their pastures from the half-tribe of Manasseh: Golan in Bashan (a sanctuary town for those who accidentally committed murder), and Be-eshterah.
A sinovima Girsonovijem izmeðu porodica Levitskih dadoše od polovine plemena Manasijina grad za utoèište krvniku Golan u Vasanu s podgraðem, i Vesteru s podgraðem: dva grada;
28 From the tribe of Issachar the following four towns and their pastures: Kishion, Daberath,
A od plemena Isaharova: Kison s podgraðem, Davrot s podgraðem.
29 Jarmuth, and En-gannim.
Jarmut s podgraðem, En-Ganim s podgraðem: èetiri grada;
30 From the tribe of Asher the following four towns and their pastures: Mishal, Abdon,
A od plemena Asirova: Misal s podgraðem, Avdon s podgraðem,
31 Helkath, and Rehob.
Helkat s podgraðem, i Reov s podgraðem: èetiri grada;
32 From the tribe of Naphtali the following three towns and their pastures: Kedesh in Galilee (a sanctuary town for those who accidentally committed murder), Hammoth-dor, and Kartan.
A od plemena Neftalimova grad za utoèište krvniku Kedes u Galileji s podgraðem, i Amot-Dor s podgraðem, i Kartan s podgraðem: tri grada.
33 So in total thirteen towns and their pastures were allotted to the families of Gershon.
Svega gradova sinova Girsonovijeh po porodicama njihovijem trinaest gradova s podgraðima.
34 The families of the descendants of Merari, those remaining from the tribe of Levi, received the following four towns and their pastures from the tribe of Zebulun: Jokneam, Kartah,
A porodicama sinova Merarijevih, ostalijem Levitima, dadoše od plemena Zavulonova Jokneam s podgraðem, Kartu s podgraðem,
35 Dimnah, and Nahalal.
Dimnu s podgraðem, Nalol s podgraðem: èetiri grada;
36 From the tribe of Reuben the following four towns and their pastures: Bezer, Jahaz,
A od plemena Ruvimova: Vosor s podgraðem, i Jazu s podgraðem,
37 Kedemoth, and Mephaath.
Kedimot s podgraðem, i Mifat s podgraðem: èetiri grada;
38 From the tribe of Gad the following four towns and their pastures: Ramoth in Gilead (a sanctuary town for those who accidentally committed murder), Mahanaim,
A od plemena Gadova: grad za utoèište krvniku Ramot u Galadu s podgraðem, i Mahanajim s podgraðem.
39 Heshbon, and Jazer.
Esevon s podgraðem, Jazir s podgraðem; svega èetiri grada.
40 So in total twelve towns were allotted to the families of Merari, those remaining from the tribe of Levi.
Sve ove gradove dadoše sinovima Merarijevim po porodicama njihovijem, što još bijahu izmeðu porodica Levitskih; i doðe na ždrijeb njihov dvanaest gradova.
41 The Levites received a total of forty-eight towns and pastures within the land of the Israelites.
Svega gradova Levitskih u našljedstvu sinova Izrailjevijeh bješe èetrdeset i osam gradova s podgraðima.
42 Each of these towns had pastures around them.
A svi gradovi imaju svoja podgraða unaokolo; tako je u svakoga grada.
43 And so the Lord gave to the Israelites all the land he had promised their ancestors. They took possession of it and settled there.
Tako dade Gospod Izrailju svu zemlju, za koju se zakle ocima njihovijem da æe im je dati, i naslijediše je i naseliše se u njoj.
44 The Lord gave them peace on every side as he had promised their ancestors. Not a single one of their enemies could stand against them, for the Lord had handed their enemies over to them to defeat.
I umiri ih Gospod otsvuda unaokolo, kao što se zakleo ocima njihovijem; i niko se ne održa pred njima od svijeh neprijatelja njihovijeh; sve neprijatelje njihove predade im Gospod u ruke.
45 Not a single one of the good things the Lord promised Israel had failed; everything had come true.
Ništa ne izosta od svega dobra što bješe obrekao Gospod domu Izrailjevu; sve se zbi.
