1 The second lot cast went to the tribe of Simeon, by families. The land was within the land allotted to the tribe of Judah.
And it came out the lot second for Simeon for [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Simeon to clans their and it was inheritance their in [the] midst of [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Judah.
2 Their allocation included Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah,
And it belonged to them inheritance their Beer Sheba and Sheba and Moladah.
3 Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem,
And Hazar Shual and Balah and Ezem.
4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
And Eltolad and Bethul and Hormah.
5 Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah,
And Ziklag and Beth Marcaboth and Hazar Susah.
6 Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen—thirteen towns with their associated villages.
And Beth Lebaoth and Sharuhen cities thir-teen and villages their.
7 Also: Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan—four towns with their associated villages,
Ain - Rimmon and Ether and Ashan cities four and villages their.
8 as well as all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath-beer (or Ramah of the Negev). This was the land allotted to the tribe of Simeon, by families.
And all the villages which [were] around the cities these to Baalath Beer of Ramah Negev this [was] [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Simeon to clans their.
9 The allocation of the tribe of Simeon was part of that given to the tribe of Judah, since what the tribe of Judah had received was too large for them.
[was] from [the] portion of [the] descendants of Judah [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Simeon for it was [the] portion of [the] descendants of Judah [too] great for them and they received their inheritance [the] descendants of Simeon in [the] midst of inheritance their.
10 The third lot cast went to the tribe of Zebulun, by families. The boundary of their allocation began at Sarid,
And it came up the lot third for [the] descendants of Zebulun to clans their and it was [the] border of inheritance their to Sarid.
11 and then went west past Maralah, touched Dabbeshah, and then the brook near Jokneam.
And it goes up border their - to the west and Maralah and it touches Dabbesheth and it touches the wadi which [is] on [the] face of Jokneam.
12 Going the other way from Sarid, the boundary headed east to the border of Kislot-tabor, on to Daberath, and then up to Japhia.
And it turns back from Sarid east-ward [the] rising of the sun to [the] border of Kisloth Tabor and it goes out to Daberath and it goes up Japhia.
13 From there it ran east to Gath-hepher, Eth-kazin, and on to Rimmon, and turned towards Neah.
And from there it passes on east-ward east-ward Gath towards Hepher Eth towards Kazin and it goes out Rimmon which is turned Neah.
14 There the boundary turned north to Hannathon, ending at the valley of Iphtah-el.
And it turns itself the border from [the] north Hannathon and they are extremities its [the] valley of Iphtah El.
15 The towns included: Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem—twelve towns with their associated villages.
And Kattah and Nahalal and Shimron and Idalah and Beth-lehem cities two [plus] ten and villages their.
16 This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Zebulun, by families.
This [was] [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Zebulun to clans their the cities these and villages their.
17 The fourth lot cast went to the tribe of Issachar, by families.
For Issachar it came out the lot fourth for [the] descendants of Issachar to clans their.
18 Their land included these towns: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
And it was border their Jezreel towards and Kesulloth and Shunem.
19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
And Hapharaim and Shion and Anaharath.
20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
And Rabbith and Kishion and Ebez.
21 Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez.
And Remeth and En Gannim and En Haddah and Beth Pazzez.
22 The boundary also reached the towns of Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and ended at the Jordan River—sixteen towns with their associated villages.
And it touches the border Tabor (and to Shahazayim *Q(K)*) and Beth Shemesh and they are [the] extremities of territory their the Jordan cities six-teen and villages their.
23 This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Zebulun, by families.
This [was] [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Issachar to clans their the cities and villages their.
24 The fifth lot cast went to the tribe of Asher, by families.
And it came out the lot fifth for [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Asher to clans their.
25 Their allocation included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
And it was border their Helkath and Hali and Beten and Acshaph.
26 Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. Their boundary reached Carmel and Shihor-libnat in the west.
And Alammelech and Amad and Mishal and it touches Carmel west-ward and Shihor Libnath.
27 Then it turned east towards Beth-dagon, reaching the land of Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el. From there it headed north to Beth-emek and Neiel, and continued north to Cabul, and on through to
And it turns back [the] rising of the sun Beth Dagon and it touches Zebulun and [the] valley of Iphtah El north-ward Beth Emek and Neiel and it goes out to Cabul from [the] left.
28 Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah, and on up to Great Sidon.
And Ebron and Rehob and Hammon and Kanah to Sidon great.
29 The boundary then turned towards Ramah and then the fortified town of Tyre, turning to Hosah and ending at the sea. Towns included Mehebel, Aczib,
And it turns back the border Ramah and to [the] city of fortification of Tyre and it turns back the border Hosah (and they are *Q(K)*) extremities its the sea towards from [the] region Aczib towards.
30 Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob—twenty-two towns with their associated villages.
And Umah and Aphek and Rehob cities twenty and two and villages their.
31 This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Asher, by families.
This [was] [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Asher to clans their the cities these and villages their.
32 The sixth lot cast went to the tribe of Naphtali, by families.
For [the] descendants of Naphtali it came out the lot sixth for [the] descendants of Naphtali to clans their.
33 Their boundary began at Heleph, by the oak at Zaananim, and went across to Adami-nekeb, Jabneel, and up to Lakkum, and ending at the Jordan.
And it was border their from Heleph from [the] great tree in Zaanannim and Adami Nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum and it was extremities its the Jordan.
34 Then the boundary headed west to Aznoth-tabor, and on to Hukkok. It reached the land of Zebulun on the south, the land of Asher on the west, and the Jordan on the east.
And it turns back the border west-ward Aznoth Tabor and it goes out from there Hukok towards and it touches Zebulun from [the] south and Asher it touches from [the] west and Judah the Jordan [the] rising of the sun.
35 The fortified towns included: Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
And [the] cities of fortification [are] Ziddim Zer and Hammath Rakkath and Kinnereth.
36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
And Adamah and Ramah and Hazor.
37 Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor,
And Kedesh and Edrei and En Hazor.
38 Yiron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh—nineteen towns with their associated villages.
And Yiron and Migdal El Horem and Beth Anath and Beth Shemesh cities nine-teen and villages their.
39 This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Naphtali, by families.
This [was] [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Naphtali to clans their the cities and villages their.
40 The seventh lot cast went to the tribe of Dan, by families.
For [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Dan to clans their it came out the lot seventh.
41 Their allocation included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh,
And it was [the] territory of inheritance their Zorah and Eshtaol and Ir-Shemesh.
42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
And Shaalabbin and Aijalon and Ithlah.
43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
And Elon and Timnah and Ekron.
44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
And Eltekeh and Gibbethon and Baalath.
45 Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon,
And Jehud and Bene Berak and Gath Rimmon.
46 Me-jarkon, Rakkon, along with the territory opposite Joppa.
And [the] waters of Jarkon and Rakkon with the territory opposite to Joppa.
47 However, the tribe of Dan was not able to hold on to their allotted land, so they went and attacked Leshem and captured it. They slaughtered its inhabitants and took possession of the town, settling there. They renamed Leshem as Dan, after their ancestor.
And it went out [the] territory of [the] descendants of Dan from them and they went up [the] descendants of Dan and they waged war with Leshem and they captured it - and they struck it to [the] mouth of [the] sword and they took possession of it and they dwelt in it and they called Leshem Dan according to [the] name of Dan ancestor their.
48 This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Dan, by families.
This [was] [the] inheritance of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Dan to clans their the cities these and villages their.
49 After they finished allotting the land and establishing its borders, the Israelites gave Joshua, son of Nun, an allocation among them.
And they finished to divide for possession the land to borders its and they gave [the] people of Israel an inheritance to Joshua [the] son of Nun in midst of them.
50 Following the Lord's command, they gave him the town he requested—Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the town and settled there.
On [the] mouth of Yahweh they gave to him the city which he asked for Timnath Serah in [the] hill country of Ephraim and he built the city and he dwelt in it.
51 These were the allocations distributed by Eleazar the priest, Joshua, son of Nun, and the leaders of the Israelite tribes. They were made by casting lots at Shiloh in the presence of the Lord at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing up the land.
These [are] the inheritances which they gave as a possession Eleazar the priest - and Joshua [the] son of Nun and [the] leaders of the fathers of [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel - by lot - at Shiloh before Yahweh [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and they finished from apportioning the land.
