Joshua 13
1 Many years had passed by, and Joshua had grown old. The Lord spoke to him, saying, “You're now an old man, but there's still a great deal of land still to be taken.
Josué era viejo y lleno de años; Y el Señor le dijo: Tú eres viejo y lleno de años, y todavía hay mucha tierra para ser tomada.
2 This is the remaining land: the territory of all the Philistines and all the Geshurites,
Esta es la tierra que aún debe ser tomada: todo el país de los filisteos, y todos los gesuritas;
3 from the Shihur River on the border with Egypt north to the border of Ekron—all of which is counted as Canaanite but comes under the five Philistine lords of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron. In addition there's the land of the Avvites
Desde el Sihor, que está antes de Egipto, hasta el borde de Ecrón, al norte, que se considera propiedad cananea: los cinco jefes de los filisteos; los jefes de Gaza, Asdod, Ascalón, Gat, y Ecrón así como los de Aveo;
4 in the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, all the way to Aphek on the border with the Amorites,

5 as well as the land of the Gebalites and the Lebanon area from the town of Baalgad to the slopes of Mount Hermon to Lebo-hamath,
Y la tierra de los giblitas, y todo el Líbano, mirando hacia el este, desde Baal-gad bajo el monte Hermón hasta Hamat:
6 and the those who live in the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, including all the land of the Sidonians. I myself will drive them out ahead of the Israelites. Just allocate the land to Israel for them to own, as I have commanded you.
Todos los habitantes de la región montañosa, desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot- maim, todos los sidonios; a ellos los expulsaré de delante de los hijos de Israel, repartirás y darás posesión de la tierra a Israel por herencia, como les he ordenado hacer.
7 So divide this land among the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh for them to own.”
Ahora, haz una división de esta tierra por herencia a las nueve tribus y la media tribu de Manasés.
8 The other half of the tribe of Manasseh, and the tribes of Reuben and Gad, had already received their land grant on the east side of the Jordan, as allotted to them by Moses, the servant of the Lord.

9 It stretched from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon valley, from the town in the middle of the valley, and all the plateau of Medeba, up to Dibon;

10 and all the towns that belonged to Sihon, king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, up to the border with the Ammonites.
Y todos los pueblos de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que gobernaba en Hesbón, hasta los límites de los hijos de Amón;
11 In addition it included Gilead, the land of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, and all of Bashan as far as Salecah,
Y Galaad, y la tierra de los gesureos y de los maacateos, y todo el monte Hermón, y todo Basán hasta Salca;
12 as well as all the land of the kingdom of Og of Bashan, who had ruled in Ashtaroth and Edrei. He was one of the last of the Rephaites. Moses had defeated them and driven them out.
Todo el reino de Og en Basán, que estaba gobernando en Astarot y en Edrei (fue uno de los últimos de los Refaitas); Estos fueron derrotados por Moisés, expulsándolos de su país.
13 But the Israelites had not driven out the Geshurites or the Maacathites, who still live among them to this very day.

14 Moses did not allocate any land for the Levites to own. Instead they were allotted the offerings made by fire to the Lord, the God of Israel, as the Lord had promised them.

15 This was the land that Moses allotted to the tribe of Reuben, by families:

16 Their territory stretched from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon valley, from the town in the middle of the valley, and all the plateau of Medeba;

17 Heshbon and all associated towns on the plateau—Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,

18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
Y Jahaza, y Cademot, y Mefaat;
19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar, on a hill in the valley,
Y Quiriat-Taim, y Sibma, y Zaret-sahar en la montaña del valle;
20 Beth-peor, the slopes of Pisgah, Beth-jeshimoth—
Y Bet-peor, y las laderas de Pisga, y Bet-jesimot;
21 all the towns of the plateau and all the kingdom of Sihon, the Amorite king, who ruled in Heshbon. He was defeated by Moses, as well as the Midianite leaders Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, princes who lived in the kingdom and who were allied to Sihon.
Y todos los pueblos de la tierra de la mesa, y todo el reino de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que gobernaba en Hesbón, a quien Moisés venció, junto con los jefes de Madián, Evi, y Requem, y Zur, y Hur, y Reba, los jefes de Sihon, que vivían en la tierra.
22 At the same time the Israelites killed Balaam, son of Beor, the fortune-teller, along with the others who were slaughtered.

23 The Jordan was the boundary for the tribe of Reuben. This was the land, the towns and the villages, allotted to the tribe of Reuben, by families.
Y el límite de los hijos de Rubén era el borde del Jordán. Esta fue la herencia de los hijos de Rubén, por sus familias, con sus pueblos y sus aldeas.
24 This was the land that Moses allotted to the tribe of Gad, by families:

25 Their territory was Jazer, all the towns of Gilead, and half of the land of the Ammonites up to Aroer, near Rabbah;
Y su límite era Jazer, y todas las ciudades de Galaad, y la mitad de la tierra de los hijos de Amón, a Aroer antes de Rabá;
26 stretching from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the Debir region.

27 In the Jordan valley lay Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon, king of Heshbon. The boundary ran along the Jordan up to the bottom end of the sea of Kinnereth and then ran east.
Y en el valle, Bet-aram, y Bet-nimra, y Sucot, y Zafón, el resto del reino de Sehón, rey de Hesbón, con el río Jordán por su límite, hasta el final del lago Cineret.
28 This was the land, the towns and the villages, allotted to the tribe of Gad, by families.
Esta es la herencia de los hijos de Gad por sus familias, con sus pueblos y sus aldeas.
29 This was the land that Moses allotted to the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is half of the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh, by families:
Y Moisés dio su heredad a la media tribu de Manasés por sus familias.
30 Their territory stretched from Manahaim through the whole of Bashan, all the kingdom of Og, and all the towns of Jair in Bashan—sixty in all.
Y su límite era desde Mahanaim, todo Bashan, todo el reino de Og, rey de Basan, en Basán, sesenta ciudades que pertenecen a Jair;
31 Also included was Gilead, and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the towns of king Og in Bashan. This was the land allotted to the descendants of Machir, son of Manasseh, for half of them, by families.
Y la mitad de Galaad, y Astarot, y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán, eran para los hijos de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, con sus familias.
32 These were the allocations that Moses made when he was in the plains of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, east of Jericho.
Estas son las herencias de las cuales Moisés hizo su distribución en las tierras bajas de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán en Jericó, al este.
33 However, Moses did not allot any land to the Levites, for the Lord, the God of Israel, had promised them that he would be their allocation.
Pero a la tribu de Leví Moisés no les dio herencia: el Señor, el Dios de Israel, es su herencia, como él les dijo.
