Jonah 2
1 Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish.
तब यूनाह ने मछली के पेट में ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा से यह दुआ की।
2 He began, “In my agony I cried out to the Lord and he answered me; from the depths of Sheol I pleaded for help and you answered me. (Sheol h7585)
“मैंने अपनी मुसीबत में ख़ुदावन्द से दुआ की, और उसने मेरी सुनी; मैंने पताल की गहराई से दुहाई दी, तूने मेरी फ़रियाद सुनी। (Sheol h7585)
3 You threw me into the deep, all the way down to the bottom of the sea. Water flooded all around me; your crashing waves rolled over me.
तूने मुझे गहरे समन्दर की गहराई में फेंक दिया, और सैलाब ने मुझे घेर लिया। तेरी सब मौजें और लहरें मुझ पर से गुज़र गईं
4 I said to myself, ‘The Lord has banished me from his sight. Will I ever see your holy Temple again?’
और मै समझा कि तेरे सामने से दूर हो गया हूँ लेकिन मै फिर तेरी मुक़द्दस हैकल को देखूँगा।
5 The water swirled over me so I couldn't breathe; the deep sucked me down; seaweed wrapped itself around my head.
सैलाब ने मुझे घेर लिया; समन्दर मेरी चारों तरफ़ था; समन्दरी नबात मेरी सर पर लिपट गई।
6 I sank down to the base of the mountains; the earth barred me in forever. But you, my Lord, my God, brought me back up from the abyss.
मैं पहाड़ों की गहराई तक ग़र्क हो गया ज़मीन के रास्ते हमेशा के लिए मुझ पर बंद हो गए; तो भी ऐ ख़ुदावन्द मेरे ख़ुदा तूने मेरी जान पाताल से बचाई।
7 As my life ebbed away, I remembered the Lord; my prayer came to you in your holy Temple.
जब मेरा दिल बेताब हुआ, तो मै ने ख़ुदावन्द को याद किया; और मेरी दुआ तेरी मुक़द्दस हैकल में तेरे सामने पहुँची
8 Those who worship worthless idols give up their trust in God's goodness.
जो लोग झूटे मा'बूदों को मानते हैं, वह शफ़क़त से महरूम हो जाते है।
9 But I will offer you sacrifices, shouting out my thanks. I will keep my promises to you, for salvation comes from the Lord.”
मै हम्द करता हुआ तेरे सामने क़ुर्बानी पेश करूँगा; मैं अपनी नज़्रें अदा करूँगा नजात ख़ुदावन्द की तरफ़ से है।”
10 Then the Lord told the fish to spit out Jonah onto the shore.
और ख़ुदावन्द ने मछली को हुक्म दिया, और उस ने यूनाह को खुश्की पर उगल दिया।
