John 21
1 Later Jesus appeared again to the disciples by the Sea of Galilee. This is how it happened.
தத: பரம்’ திபி³ரியாஜலதே⁴ஸ்தடே யீஸு²: புநரபி ஸி²ஷ்யேப்⁴யோ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்தவாந் த³ர்ஸ²நஸ்யாக்²யாநமித³ம்|
2 Simon Peter, Thomas the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and Zebedee's sons, and two other disciples were together.
ஸி²மோந்பிதர: யமஜதோ²மா கா³லீலீயகாந்நாநக³ரநிவாஸீ நித²நேல் ஸிவதே³: புத்ராவந்யௌ த்³வௌ ஸி²ஷ்யௌ சைதேஷ்வேகத்ர மிலிதேஷு ஸி²மோந்பிதரோ(அ)கத²யத் மத்ஸ்யாந் த⁴ர்தும்’ யாமி|
3 “I'm going fishing,” Simon Peter said to them. “We'll come with you,” they replied. So they left and went out in the boat, but all night they caught nothing.
ததஸ்தே வ்யாஹரந் தர்ஹி வயமபி த்வயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யாம: ததா³ தே ப³ஹிர்க³தா: ஸந்த: க்ஷிப்ரம்’ நாவம் ஆரோஹந் கிந்து தஸ்யாம்’ ரஜந்யாம் ஏகமபி ந ப்ராப்நுவந்|
4 When dawn came Jesus was standing on the shore, but the disciples didn't know it was him.
ப்ரபா⁴தே ஸதி யீஸு²ஸ்தடே ஸ்தி²தவாந் கிந்து ஸ யீஸு²ரிதி ஸி²ஷ்யா ஜ்ஞாதும்’ நாஸ²க்நுவந்|
5 Jesus called to them, “My friends, haven't you caught anything?” “No,” they replied.
ததா³ யீஸு²ரப்ரு’ச்ச²த், ஹே வத்ஸா ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ கிஞ்சித் கா²த்³யத்³ரவ்யம் ஆஸ்தே? தே(அ)வத³ந் கிமபி நாஸ்தி|
6 “Throw the net out on the right side of the boat, and you'll find some,” he told them. So they threw out the net, and they weren't able to haul it in because it had so many fish.
ததா³ ஸோ(அ)வத³த் நௌகாயா த³க்ஷிணபார்ஸ்²வே ஜாலம்’ நிக்ஷிபத ததோ லப்ஸ்யத்⁴வே, தஸ்மாத் தை ர்நிக்ஷிப்தே ஜாலே மத்ஸ்யா ஏதாவந்தோ(அ)பதந் யேந தே ஜாலமாக்ரு’ஷ்ய நோத்தோலயிதும்’ ஸ²க்தா: |
7 The disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, “It's the Lord.” When Peter heard it was the Lord, he put some clothes on since he was naked, and jumped into the sea.
தஸ்மாத்³ யீஸோ²: ப்ரியதமஸி²ஷ்ய: பிதராயாகத²யத் ஏஷ ப்ரபு⁴ ர்ப⁴வேத், ஏஷ ப்ரபு⁴ரிதி வாசம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வைவ ஸி²மோந் நக்³நதாஹேதோ ர்மத்ஸ்யதா⁴ரிண உத்தரீயவஸ்த்ரம்’ பரிதா⁴ய ஹ்ரத³ம்’ ப்ரத்யுத³லம்ப²யத்|
8 The other disciples followed in the boat, pulling the net full of fish, because they were not far from the shore, only about a hundred yards.
அபரே ஸி²ஷ்யா மத்ஸ்யை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ஜாலம் ஆகர்ஷந்த: க்ஷுத்³ரநௌகாம்’ வாஹயித்வா கூலமாநயந் தே கூலாத்³ அதிதூ³ரே நாஸந் த்³விஸ²தஹஸ்தேப்⁴யோ தூ³ர ஆஸந் இத்யநுமீயதே|
9 Once they'd landed they saw a fire with fish cooking on it, and some bread.
தீரம்’ ப்ராப்தைஸ்தைஸ்தத்ர ப்ரஜ்வலிதாக்³நிஸ்தது³பரி மத்ஸ்யா: பூபாஸ்²ச த்³ரு’ஷ்டா: |
10 Jesus told them, “Bring some of the fish you've just caught.”
ததோ யீஸு²ரகத²யத்³ யாந் மத்ஸ்யாந் அத⁴ரத தேஷாம்’ கதிபயாந் ஆநயத|
11 Simon Peter went aboard and pulled the net full of fish ashore. There were 153 large fish, yet even so the net hadn't torn.
அத: ஸி²மோந்பிதர: பராவ்ரு’த்ய க³த்வா ப்³ரு’ஹத்³பி⁴ஸ்த்ரிபஞ்சாஸ²த³தி⁴கஸ²தமத்ஸ்யை: பரிபூர்ணம்’ தஜ்ஜாலம் ஆக்ரு’ஷ்யோத³தோலயத் கிந்த்வேதாவத்³பி⁴ ர்மத்ஸ்யைரபி ஜாலம்’ நாசி²த்³யத|
12 “Come and eat some breakfast,” Jesus said to them. None of the disciples was brave enough to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.
அநந்தரம்’ யீஸு²ஸ்தாந் அவாதீ³த் யூயமாக³த்ய பு⁴ம்’க்³த்⁴வம்’; ததா³ ஸஏவ ப்ரபு⁴ரிதி ஜ்ஞாதத்வாத் த்வம்’ க: ? இதி ப்ரஷ்டும்’ ஸி²ஷ்யாணாம்’ கஸ்யாபி ப்ரக³ல்ப⁴தா நாப⁴வத்|
13 Jesus took the bread and gave it to them and the fish as well.
ததோ யீஸு²ராக³த்ய பூபாந் மத்ஸ்யாம்’ஸ்²ச க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தேப்⁴ய: பர்ய்யவேஷயத்|
14 This was the third time Jesus had appeared to the disciples after being raised from the dead.
இத்த²ம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நாது³த்தா²நாத் பரம்’ யீஸு²: ஸி²ஷ்யேப்⁴யஸ்த்ரு’தீயவாரம்’ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ த³த்தவாந்|
15 After breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he replied, “you know I love you.”
போ⁴ஜநே ஸமாப்தே ஸதி யீஸு²: ஸி²மோந்பிதரம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந், ஹே யூநஸ: புத்ர ஸி²மோந் த்வம்’ கிம் ஏதேப்⁴யோதி⁴கம்’ மயி ப்ரீயஸே? தத: ஸ உதி³தவாந் ஸத்யம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ த்வயி ப்ரீயே(அ)ஹம்’ தத்³ ப⁴வாந் ஜாநாதி; ததா³ யீஸு²ரகத²யத் தர்ஹி மம மேஷஸா²வகக³ணம்’ பாலய|
16 “Take care of my lambs,” Jesus told him. “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” he asked for the second time. “Yes, Lord,” he answered, “you know I love you.”
தத: ஸ த்³விதீயவாரம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந் ஹே யூநஸ: புத்ர ஸி²மோந் த்வம்’ கிம்’ மயி ப்ரீயஸே? தத: ஸ உக்தவாந் ஸத்யம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ த்வயி ப்ரீயே(அ)ஹம்’ தத்³ ப⁴வாந் ஜாநாதி; ததா³ யீஸு²ரகத²யத தர்ஹி மம மேஷக³ணம்’ பாலய|
17 “Look after my sheep,” Jesus said to him. “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” he asked a third time. Peter was saddened that Jesus had asked him for the third time if he loved him. “Lord, you know everything. You know I love you,” Peter told him. “Take care of my sheep,” said Jesus.
பஸ்²சாத் ஸ த்ரு’தீயவாரம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந், ஹே யூநஸ: புத்ர ஸி²மோந் த்வம்’ கிம்’ மயி ப்ரீயஸே? ஏதத்³வாக்யம்’ த்ரு’தீயவாரம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந் தஸ்மாத் பிதரோ து³: கி²தோ பூ⁴த்வா(அ)கத²யத் ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ ப⁴வத: கிமப்யகோ³சரம்’ நாஸ்தி த்வய்யஹம்’ ப்ரீயே தத்³ ப⁴வாந் ஜாநாதி; ததோ யீஸு²ரவத³த் தர்ஹி மம மேஷக³ணம்’ பாலய|
18 “I tell you the truth,” said Jesus, “when you were young, you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted. But when you're old, you'll hold out your hands and someone will dress you and take you where you don't want to go.”
அஹம்’ துப்⁴யம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ கத²யாமி யௌவநகாலே ஸ்வயம்’ ப³த்³த⁴கடி ர்யத்ரேச்சா² தத்ர யாதவாந் கிந்த்வித: பரம்’ வ்ரு’த்³தே⁴ வயஸி ஹஸ்தம்’ விஸ்தாரயிஷ்யஸி, அந்யஜநஸ்த்வாம்’ ப³த்³த்⁴வா யத்ர க³ந்தும்’ தவேச்சா² ந ப⁴வதி த்வாம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா தத்ர நேஷ்யதி|
19 Jesus said this to explain the kind of death by which he would glorify God. Then he said to Peter, “Follow me.”
ப²லத: கீத்³ரு’ஸே²ந மரணேந ஸ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய மஹிமாநம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யிஷ்யதி தத்³ போ³த⁴யிதும்’ ஸ இதி வாக்யம்’ ப்ரோக்தவாந்| இத்யுக்தே ஸதி ஸ தமவோசத் மம பஸ்²சாத்³ ஆக³ச்ச²|
20 As Peter turned round, he saw the disciple Jesus loved following them, the one who had leaned over to Jesus during the supper and asked, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”
யோ ஜநோ ராத்ரிகாலே யீஸோ² ர்வக்ஷோ(அ)வலம்ப்³ய, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ கோ ப⁴வந்தம்’ பரகரேஷு ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதீதி வாக்யம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந், தம்’ யீஸோ²: ப்ரியதமஸி²ஷ்யம்’ பஸ்²சாத்³ ஆக³ச்ச²ந்தம்’
21 Peter asked Jesus, “What about him, Lord?”
பிதரோ முக²ம்’ பராவர்த்த்ய விலோக்ய யீஸு²ம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந், ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ ஏதஸ்ய மாநவஸ்ய கீத்³ரு’ஸீ² க³தி ர்ப⁴விஷ்யதி?
22 Jesus told him, “If I want him to remain alive here until I return, why is that your concern? You follow me!”
ஸ ப்ரத்யவத³த், மம புநராக³மநபர்ய்யந்தம்’ யதி³ தம்’ ஸ்தா²பயிதும் இச்சா²மி தத்ர தவ கிம்’? த்வம்’ மம பஸ்²சாத்³ ஆக³ச்ச²|
23 This is why the saying spread among the believers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus didn't say to him that he wouldn't die, just that “If I want him to remain alive here until I return, why is that your concern?”
தஸ்மாத் ஸ ஸி²ஷ்யோ ந மரிஷ்யதீதி ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ணமத்⁴யே கிம்’வத³ந்தீ ஜாதா கிந்து ஸ ந மரிஷ்யதீதி வாக்யம்’ யீஸு² ர்நாவத³த் கேவலம்’ மம புநராக³மநபர்ய்யந்தம்’ யதி³ தம்’ ஸ்தா²பயிதும் இச்சா²மி தத்ர தவ கிம்’? இதி வாக்யம் உக்தவாந்|
24 This disciple confirms what happened and wrote all this down. We know that what he says is true.
யோ ஜந ஏதாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி லிகி²தவாந் அத்ர ஸாக்ஷ்யஞ்ச த³த்தவாந் ஸஏவ ஸ ஸி²ஷ்ய: , தஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ ப்ரமாணமிதி வயம்’ ஜாநீம: |
25 Jesus did many other things as well, and if it all was written down, I doubt the whole world could hold all the books that would be written.
யீஸு²ரேதேப்⁴யோ(அ)பராண்யபி ப³ஹூநி கர்ம்மாணி க்ரு’தவாந் தாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி யத்³யேகைகம்’ க்ரு’த்வா லிக்²யந்தே தர்ஹி க்³ரந்தா² ஏதாவந்தோ ப⁴வந்தி தேஷாம்’ தா⁴ரணே ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாம்’ ஸ்தா²நம்’ ந ப⁴வதி| இதி||
