< Job 8 >

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite spoke up and said,
Na Bildad el fahk,
2 “How much longer will you go on talking like this? The words coming out of your mouth are a lot of hot air!
“Safla sramsram in eng tuhtuh lom an?
3 Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right?
God El tia wi kifasla nununku suwohs lal uh; El tia ku in tia oru ma pwaye.
4 Your children must have sinned against him, and so they deserved the punishment he inflicted on them.
Sahp oasr ma koluk tulik nutum ah tuh oru lain God. Pwanang El sang kaiyuk fal nu selos.
5 But if you pray to God and ask for his help,
Inge wona kom in forla ac siyuk sin God Kulana Elan kasrekom;
6 if you live a clean life and do what is right, then he would act to make things right for you in your home.
Fin pwaye lah kom suwohs ac nasnas na, Na God El ac kasrekom. Ac folokonot mwet in lohm sum ac mwe kasrup lom nukewa tuh in mwe srui nu sum.
7 Though you began with next to nothing, you will end up with so much!
Mwe kasrup nukewa ma El eisla liki kom Ac tia apkuran nu ke ma El ac sifilpa folokonot nu sum.
8 Why don't you ask what previous generations discovered, examine what our ancestors found out? We were born yesterday and don't know anything!
“Srike liye luman lalmwetmet in pacl meet ah; Ac nunku ke ma pwaye su mwet lasr meet ah elos etala.
9 Our days on earth fade as quickly as a passing shadow.
Moul lasr uh fototo, ac wanginna ma kut etu; Kut ac wanginla oana ke lul uh sa na in wanginla.
10 Won't they teach you and explain what they know?
A lela mwet matu lalmwetmet lasr meet ah in luti kom; Porongo ma elos fahk uh:
11 Can papyrus grow where there is no marsh? Can reeds grow without water?
“Loa uh tia ku in kapak yen wangin kof we; Tia ku in koneyukyak sayen acn furarrar uh.
12 Even without being cut, while they are still flowering, they wither faster than grass.
Fin wanginla kof, na loa uh pa ac uli emeet, Ke srakna mangosr ac soenna fal in orekmakinyuk.
13 This is what happens to everyone who forgets God. The hopes of those who live without God come to nothing.
Mwet ma forla liki God uh elos oana loa inge; Finsrak lalos uh ac wanginla ke pacl se na ma elos mulkunla God.
14 Their confidence is like holding on to a flimsy spider's web.
Elos sulela ahng lun pwepenu uh tuh in nien wikla lalos.
15 They look to their home to provide security, but it provides no support. They try to hang onto it, but it doesn't last.
Ku elos fin fungyang ke sie ang inge, ya ac ku in tapkulosyak? Ac elos fin sruok soko koa ke ang inge, ya ac ku in kasrelos tuyak?
16 Those who live without God are like a luxuriant plant growing in the sun, spreading its shoots all over the garden.
“Mwet koluk uh elos furarak in ima uh, Oana pulah su furarak ye faht uh.
17 It twists its roots down through the stones, and holds on to rock.
Okah kaclos uh ac punla eot uh, Ac sruokani ku eot nukewa.
18 But when it's cut down, the place where it was disowns it, saying, ‘I never even saw you.’
Na fin fifyak elos, Ac wangin inkelos yen elos tuh oan we meet.
19 Its life is over, and others spring up from the earth to take its place.
Aok, pwana inge luman engan lun mwet koluk uh; Oasr pac mwet saya ac sifil tuku ac aolulosla.
20 Look, God doesn't reject someone who is innocent, and he doesn't support those who are guilty.
“Tusruktu God El tia ku in ngetla liki mwet su inse pwaye nu sel, Ac El tia ku in kasru mwet koluk uh.
21 He can make you laugh with happiness again and shout for joy.
El ac fah lela kom in sifilpa israsr ac sasa,
22 Those who hate you will be put to shame, and the place where the wicked live will be destroyed.”
Tusruktu El ac fah aklusrongtenye mwet su srungakom, Ac lohm sin mwet koluk uh ac fah wanginla.”
