Job 24

1 Why doesn't the Almighty set a definite time to punish the wicked? Why don't those who follow him never see him act in judgment?

൧സർവ്വശക്തൻ ശിക്ഷാസമയങ്ങളെ നിയമിക്കാത്തതും അവിടുത്തെ ഭക്തന്മാർ അവിടുത്തെ വിസ്താര ദിവസങ്ങളെ കാണാതിരിക്കുന്നതും എന്ത്?

2 The wicked move boundary stones; they seize other people's flocks and move them to their own pastures.

൨ചിലർ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുന്നു; ചിലർ ആട്ടിൻകൂട്ടത്തെ കവർന്ന് കൊണ്ടുപോയി മേയ്ക്കുന്നു.

3 They steal the orphan's donkey; they take the widow's ox as security for a debt.

൩ചിലർ അനാഥരുടെ കഴുതയെ കൊണ്ട് പോകുന്നു; ചിലർ വിധവയുടെ കാളയെ പണയം വാങ്ങുന്നു.

4 They push the poor out of their way; the destitute are forced to hide from them.

൪ചിലർ സാധുക്കളെ വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തെ ദരിദ്രർ എല്ലാം ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

5 Like wild donkeys in the desert, the poor have to scavenge for their food, looking for anything to feed their children in the wasteland.

൫അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളെപ്പോലെ ഇരതേടി വേലയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; അവർ മക്കൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്ത് ആഹാരം തേടിയുള്ള വേലയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്നു.

6 They are forced to find what they can in other people's fields, to glean among the vineyards of the wicked.

൬അവർ അന്യന്റെ വയലിൽ വിളവെടുക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ കാലാ പെറുക്കുന്നു.

7 They spend the night naked because they have no clothes; they have nothing to cover themselves against the cold.

൭അവർ വസ്ത്രമില്ലാതെ നഗ്നരായി രാത്രി കഴിച്ചുകൂട്ടുന്നു; കുളിർ മാറ്റാൻ അവർക്ക് പുതപ്പും ഇല്ല.

8 They are soaked by the cold mountain storms, and huddle beside the rocks for shelter.

൮അവർ മലകളിൽ മഴ നനയുന്നു; മറവിടം ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അവർ പാറയെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു.

9 Fatherless children are snatched from their mother's breasts, taking the babies of the poor as security for a debt.

൯ചിലർ മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന അനാഥക്കുട്ടികളെ അപഹരിക്കുന്നു; ചിലർ ദരിദ്രനോട് കുട്ടികളെ പണയം വാങ്ങുന്നു.

10 Because they have no clothes to wear they have to go naked, harvesting sheaves of grain while they themselves are hungry.

൧൦അവർ വസ്ത്രം കൂടാതെ നഗ്നരായി നടക്കുന്നു; പട്ടിണി കിടന്നുകൊണ്ട് കറ്റ ചുമക്കുന്നു.

11 In the olive groves they work to produce oil, but do not taste it; they tread the winepress, but are thirsty.

൧൧ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ മതിലുകൾക്കകത്ത് അവർ ചക്കാട്ടുന്നു; മുന്തിരിച്ചക്ക് ചവിട്ടുകയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

12 In the city the dying groan, and the wounded cry for help, but God ignores their prayers.

൧൨പട്ടണത്തിൽ ആളുകൾ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു; മുറിവേറ്റവരുടെ പ്രാണൻ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം അവരുടെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നില്ല

13 These are people who rebel against the light. They do not want to know its ways, or to stay on its paths.

൧൩ഇവർ വെളിച്ചത്തോട് മത്സരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അതിന്റെ പാതകളിൽ നടക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

14 The murderer gets up at dawn to kill the poor and needy, and when night falls he becomes a thief.

൧൪കൊലപാതകൻ രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രനെയും എളിയവനെയും കൊല്ലുന്നു; രാത്രിയിൽ കള്ളനായി നടക്കുന്നു.

15 The adulterer waits for dusk, saying to himself, ‘No one will see me now,’ and he covers his face.

൧൫വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെ കണ്ണ് അസ്തമയം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ മുഖം മറച്ച് നടക്കുന്നു. “ഒരു കണ്ണും എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല” എന്ന് പറയുന്നു.

16 Thieves break into houses during the night and they sleep during the day. They don't even know what the light is like!

൧൬ചിലർ ഇരുട്ടത്ത് വീട് തുരന്നു കയറുന്നു; പകൽ അവർ വാതിൽ അടച്ചു പാർക്കുന്നു; വെളിച്ചത്ത് ഇറങ്ങുന്നതുമില്ല.

17 Total darkness is like light to them, for they are familiar with the night.

൧൭പ്രഭാതം അവർക്ക് അന്ധതമസ്സ് തന്നെ; അന്ധതമസ്സിന്റെ ഭീകരത അവർക്ക് പരിചയമുണ്ടല്ലോ.

18 Like bubbles on the surface of a river they are quickly carried away. The land they own is cursed by God. They don't enter their own vineyards.

൧൮വെള്ളത്തിനുമീതെകൂടി അവർ വേഗത്തിൽ പൊയ്പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓഹരി ഭൂമിയിൽ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ആരും പോകുന്നില്ല.

19 Just as heat and drought dry up snowmelt, so Sheol takes away those who have sinned. (Sheol h7585)

൧൯ഹിമജലം വരൾച്ചയ്ക്കും ഉഷ്ണത്തിനും പാപം ചെയ്തവൻ പാതാളത്തിനും ഇരയാകുന്നു. (Sheol h7585)

20 Even their mothers forget them, maggots feast on them, they are no longer remembered, and their wickedness becomes like a tree that is broken into pieces.

൨൦അവനെ വഹിച്ച ഗർഭപാത്രം അവനെ മറന്നുകളയും; കൃമി അവനെ തിന്ന് രസിക്കും; പിന്നെ ആരും അവനെ ഓർക്കുകയില്ല; നീതികേട് ഒരു വൃക്ഷംപോലെ തകർന്നുപോകും.

21 They mistreat childless women and are mean to widows.

൨൧പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത മച്ചിയെ അവൻ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുന്നു; വിധവയ്ക്ക് നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതുമില്ല.

22 God prolongs the life of the wicked by his power; but when they arise, they have no assurance of life.

൨൨ദൈവം തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ കരുത്തന്മാരെ നിലനില്‍ക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു; ജീവനെക്കുറിച്ച് നിരാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ അവർ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു.

23 He supports them and gives them security, but he is always watching what they're doing.

൨൩അവിടുന്ന് അവർക്ക് നിർഭയവാസം നല്കുന്നു; അവർ ഉറച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവിടുത്തെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെ വഴികളിലുണ്ട്.

24 Though they may be illustrious for a while, soon they are gone. They are brought down like all others, cut off like the heads of grain.

൨൪അവർ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കുറെകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവർ ഇല്ല; അവരെ താഴ്ത്തി മറ്റെല്ലാവരെയുംപോലെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; കതിർക്കുലയെന്നപോലെ അവരെ അറുക്കുന്നു.

25 If this isn't so, who can prove I'm a liar and there's nothing to what I say?”

൨൫ഇങ്ങനെയല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ കള്ളനാക്കുകയും എന്റെ വാക്ക് അർത്ഥശൂന്യമെന്ന് തെളിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാവുന്നവൻ ആര്?
