Job 23
1 Job replied,
೧ಆಗ ಯೋಬನು ಇಂತೆಂದನು,
2 “Just the same, my complaints today remain bitter. In spite of my groaning he is still punishing me.
೨“ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ನರಳಾಟವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿದರೂ; ಆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಲುಗುವಿಕೆಯು ದೇವದ್ರೋಹವೆಂದು ಈಗಲೂ ಎಣಿಸುತ್ತೀರಾ?
3 If only I knew where I could find him so I could go to where he sits in judgment.
೩ಆಹಾ, ಆತನ ದರ್ಶನವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಆದೀತು, ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಂತೋಷ! ಆತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರೆನು.
4 There I would lay out my case before him and present all my arguments in full.
೪ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ತರ್ಕಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿವರಿಸುವೆನು.
5 I would discover how he would answer me and learn what he has to say to me.
೫ಆತನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವೆನು.
6 Would he fight against me using his mighty power? No, he would pay attention to what I have to say.
೬ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವನೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುವನು.
7 There a good person could reason with him, and I would be acquitted forever by my judge.
೭ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಚಿತ್ತನು ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸುವನು. ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವುದು.
8 If I go to the east, he's not there; if I go the west, I don't find him.
೮ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾನು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋದರೂ ಆತನು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲಾರೆನು.
9 If he's working in the north, I don't perceive him; if he's moving south, I don't see him.
೯ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ನೋಡಲಾರೆನು, ಬಲಗಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಆತನು ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
10 Yet he always knows where I'm going. When he has proved me, I will come out shining like gold.
೧೦ಆತನಾದರೋ ನನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲನು, ಆತನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುವೆನು.
11 I have kept in step with him; I have followed his way without turning aside.
೧೧ಆತನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯ ಜಾಡಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಓರೆಯಾಗದೆ ಆತನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನೇ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
12 I have not neglected his commands, for I value what he has told me to do more than the food I eat every day.
೧೨ಆತನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ನಿಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಹಿಂದೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
13 But God is unchangeable—who can turn him from his purposes? He does whatever he wants to do.
೧೩ಆತನಂತು ಒಂದೇ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ತಿರುಗಿಸಬಲ್ಲವರು ಯಾರು? ತಾನು ಬಯಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
14 So he will finish whatever he has planned for me—and he has many plans for me.
೧೪ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಮಕವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವವನಷ್ಟೆ, ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಥಾ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಗಳು ಅನೇಕವಾಗಿವೆ.
15 That's why I'm terrified at meeting him; when I think of him I tremble with fear.
೧೫ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ಆತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಬರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೋಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೆದರುತ್ತೇನೆ.
16 God has made me faint-hearted; the Almighty has scared me to death.
೧೬ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿದವನು ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗಾಬರಿಪಡಿಸಿದವನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ.
17 Yet I'm still here despite the dark—even though I can't see through the utter darkness.
೧೭ನಾನು ಹಾಳಾದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಅಂಧಕಾರವು ಕಾರಣವಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಕವಿದಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲು ಕಾರಣವಲ್ಲ.”
