< Job 20 >
1 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
Mgbe ahụ, Zofa onye Neama zara sị:
2 “I'm forced to reply because I'm really upset!
“Enweghị udo nke echiche m na-akpali m izaghachi nʼihi na anọ m na mwute dị ukwuu.
3 What I hear you say insults me, but I know how to reply to you!
Anụla m okwu mkparị nke ileda anya nye m, ma nghọta m na-akpalịte m ịzaghachi gị.
4 Don't you know that since ancient times, since human beings were put on this earth,
“Nʼezie, ị maara otu ọ dị site na mgbe ochie, ya bụ kemgbe e debere mmadụ nʼụwa.
5 that the triumph of the wicked doesn't last long, that those who reject God are only happy for a short time?
Obi ụtọ nke onye na-emebi iwu na-adị nwa mgbe nta, ọṅụ nke ndị na-amaghị Chineke na-anọ naanị nwa oge.
6 Even though they are so tall they reach the heavens, even though their heads reach the clouds,
Nʼagbanyeghị na ịnya isi ya ga-eru eluigwe, na isi ya ga-emetụkwa igwe ojii;
7 they will vanish forever like their own excrement. People who knew them will ask, ‘Where have they gone?’
ọ ga-ala nʼiyi ebighị ebi, dịka nsị ya onwe ya nyụrụ; ndị maara ya ga-ajụ, ‘Olee ebe ọ nọ?’
8 They will vanish like a dream, never to be found, fleeing like a vision of the night.
Ọ ga-efelaga dịka nrọ, agaghị achọtakwa ya mgbe ọbụla, dịka ọhụ abalị nke e chefuru echefu.
9 Those who once saw them will not see them anymore; their families will never set eyes on them again.
Anya hụrụ ya na mbụ agaghị ahụkwa ya ọzọ, ebe obibi ya agaghị elegidekwa ya anya ọzọ.
10 Their children will have to pay back the poor; they will have to return their wealth.
Ụmụ ya ga-achọ ihuọma site nʼaka ndị ogbenye; aka ya abụọ kwa ga-enyeghachi akụ ya.
11 Though the wicked have bodies that are young and strong, they will die and be buried.
Ọkpụkpụ ya nke jupụtara nʼike okorobịa ga-eso ya bụrụ ihe a ghanyere na ntụ.
12 Though evil tastes sweet in their mouths and they hide it under their tongues,
“Ọ bụ ezie na ihe ọjọọ na-atọ ya ụtọ nʼọnụ, na ọ na-ezokwa ya nʼokpuru ire ya;
13 not letting it go but keeping it in their mouths,
ọ bụ ezie na ọ pụghị nʼịhapụ ya, ọ na-edebe ya nʼọnụ ya,
14 in their stomachs it turns bitter, becoming like snake venom inside them.
ma nri ọ na-eri ga-aghọ ihe gbara ụka nʼafọ ya, ọ ga-aghọkwa elo agwọ nʼime afọ ya.
15 They swallow wealth and vomit it up again; God forces it from their stomachs.
Ọ ga-agbọpụta akụnụba niile o lodara; Chineke ga-eme ka o si nʼafọ ya gbọpụtachaa ha.
16 They suck in snake venom; the bite of the viper will kill them.
Ọ ga-amịcha elo agwọ, eze agwọ ajụala ga-egbu ya.
17 They will not live to enjoy the streams, the rivers of milk and honey.
Ọ gaghị anụ ụtọ mmiri si nʼiyi, bụ iyi nke na-asọ asọ nke jupụtara na mmanụ aṅụ na mmiri ara ehi rahụrụ arahụ.
18 They will have to give back what they have gained and will not have any benefit; they will not enjoy any of their profits.
Ihe ọ rụpụtara ka ọ ga-eji kwụghachi ụgwọ o ji na-erighị ma otu. Uru ọ zụtara nʼahịa agaghị abụrụ ya ihe ọṅụ.
19 For they have oppressed and abandoned the poor; they have seized houses they did not build.
Nʼihi na ọ kpagburu ndị ogbenye, hapụ ha na-enweghị olileanya ọbụla, ọ nakọtakwara ụlọ nke ọ na-ewughị.
20 Because their greed was never satisfied, nothing they liked is left that they didn't consume.
“Nʼezie, ọ gaghị enwe izuike site nʼoke ọchịchọ ya; ọ gaghị azọpụtakwa onwe ya site nʼụlọakụ ya.
21 Nothing escapes their ravenous appetites, so their happiness doesn't last long.
Ọ dịghị ihe fọdụụrụ ya iripịa, ọganihu ya agaghị adịgide.
22 Even when the wicked have all that they want they run into trouble; all kinds of misery will fall upon them.
Nʼetiti ihe niile o nwere ka mkpagbu ga-abịakwasị ya, oke ịta ahụhụ ga-adakwasị ya.
23 While they are busy filling their bellies, God's hostility will burn against them, raining down on them.
Mgbe o rijuru afọ ka Chineke ga-eme ka iwe ya dị ọkụ megide ya, iti aka Chineke ga-adakwasị ya dịka mmiri ozuzo.
24 As they flee to escape an iron weapon, a bronze arrow will strike them down.
Ọ bụrụ na o si na ngwa agha e ji igwe kpụọ gbalaga, àkụ nke e ji ọla bronz kpụọ ọnụ ya ga-amapu ya ahụ.
25 The arrow is pulled out of their gall bladder, glistening with blood. They are absolutely terrified!
Nʼazụ ya ka ọ na-esi mịpụta ya, site nʼumeju ya ka a ga-esi mịpụta ọnụ ya na-egbu amụma. Oke egwu dị iche iche ga-abịakwasị ya.
26 All they value will disappear into the darkness; divine fire will destroy them; all they have left will go up in smoke.
Oke ọchịchịrị nọ na-echere akụnụba ya, ọkụ nke a na-afụnwughị afụnwu ga-erepịa ya ọ ga-erechapụkwa ihe niile fọdụrụ nʼụlọ ikwu ya.
27 The heavens reveal what they have done wrong; the earth will rise up against them.
Eluigwe ga-ekpughe ikpe ọmụma ya ụwa niile ga-ebili megide ya.
28 All their possessions will be carried from their homes; they will be dragged off on the day of God's judgment.
Idee mmiri ga-ebupu ụlọ ya; oke mmiri okwukwo nʼụbọchị iwe Chineke.
29 This is the share the wicked receive from God, the inheritance God says they should have.”
Nke a bụ oke nke Chineke debeere ndị na-emebi iwu, ya bụkwa ihe nketa nke Chineke kwadooro ha.”
