< Job 16 >

1 Job replied,
Mgbe ahụ, Job zara sị:
2 “I've heard all this before. You are comforters who just cause trouble!
“Anụla m ọtụtụ ihe dịka ndị a; ndị nkasiobi na-eweta ọnọdụ ọjọọ ka unu niile bụ.
3 Will your windy speeches never cease? What's bothering you that you have to answer me?
Ogologo okwu efu ndị a niile unu na-ekwu, ọ naghị akwụsị? Gịnị bụ nsogbu unu nke mere unu ji aga nʼihu na-arụ ụka niile ndị a?
4 I could talk like you do if you were in my place, stringing words together to criticize you, ridiculing you with a toss of my head.
Mụ onwe m nwekwara ike ikwu okwu dịka unu, ma ọ bụrụ na unu nọ nʼọnọdụ m; enwere m ike kwuo okwu dị ụtọ na ntị megide unu, ma fufekwaa isi m megide unu.
5 I could build you up by my mouth speaking words; the movement of my lips would ease your pain.
Ma ọnụ m ga-agba unu ume; nkasiobi si nʼegbugbere ọnụ m ga-emekwa ka ihe mgbu unu dajụọ.
6 For me, if I speak it doesn't ease my pain, and if I don't speak the pain is still there.
“Ma ọ bụrụ na m ekwuo, adịghị egbochi ihe mgbu m, ọ bụrụ na m ahapụ ikwu okwu, ọdịghị esi nʼahụ m pụọ?
7 God, you have worn me out. You have destroyed my whole family.
Nʼezie o Chineke, i meela ka ike gwụ m, i tidakwala ezinaụlọ m.
8 You have made me shrivel up, which is a witness against me; my thin body testifies against me.
I keela m agbụ; agbụ m abụrụla ihe akaebe megide m; ịta ahụ m ebiliela ịgba akaebe megide m.
9 He has torn me apart in his anger; in his hostility he has gnashed his teeth at me; my enemy pierces me with his fierce look.
Chineke na-eweso m iwe, jiri iwe ya na-adọwasị m, ọ na-atakwa ikikere eze ya megide m; onye iro m na-achịchapụrụ m anya ya.
10 People stare at me with their mouths wide open, they slap me on my cheeks to mock me, they crowd around me to attack me.
Ụmụ mmadụ na-asaghe ọnụ ka ha chịa m ọchị, ha ji iti m aka nʼọnụ na-akwa m emo, jikọtakwa onwe ha megide m.
11 God has handed me over to evil people; he has thrown me into their hands.
Chineke ewerela m nyefee nʼaka ndị ajọ omume, tụbakwa m nʼaka ndị na-emebi iwu.
12 I was living in peace and he smashed me to pieces. He grabbed me by the neck and dashed me to pieces. He set me up as his target.
Ihe na-agara m nke ọma, ma Chineke tipịara m. O jidere m nʼolu ma tiwasịa m. O meela m ihe ịgba ụta ya;
13 His archers surround me. His arrows pierce my kidneys without mercy. He pours out my gall on the ground.
ndị ọgba ụta ya agbaala m gburugburu. Ọ na-agbawa akụrụ m na-enweghị ọmịiko mee ka oluilu m wụsịa nʼala.
14 Like a wall he breaks me down, breach upon breach, rushing at me like a warrior.
Mgbe niile, ọ na-emegide m; ọ na-achụso m dịka dike nʼagha.
15 I have sown sackcloth to cover my skin; my strength lies broken in the dust.
“Adụkọtala m akwa mkpe were ya kpuchie anụ ahụ m, liekwa ikuanya m nʼime ntụ.
16 My face is red from crying and dark shadows surround my eyes,
Ihu m na-acha ọbara ọbara site nʼakwa nke m na-akwa, onyinyo nke ọnwụ dịkwa gburugburu egbugbere anya m abụọ;
17 although I have done nothing wrong and my prayer is pure.
ma aka m emeghị ihe ike ọbụla, ọzọ ekpere m dịkwa ọcha.
18 Earth, do not cover up my blood. May my cry find no place to hide.
“Ala, biko, ezokwala ọbara m; mee ka akwa m ghara ịbụ ihe lara nʼiyi!
19 Look, right now my witness is in heaven; the one who speaks for me is on high.
Ọ bụladị ugbu a, onye akaebe m nọ nʼeluigwe, onye nkwuchite ọnụ m nọ nʼebe dị elu.
20 My friends scorn me, but my eyes pour out tears to God.
Onye na-arịọrọ m arịrịọ bụ enyi m, dịka m na-awụsara Chineke anya mmiri m.
21 I want my witness to speak for me with God as someone does for their friend.
Nʼọnọdụ mmadụ ka ọ na-arịọ Chineke dịka mmadụ na-arịọ nʼihi enyi ya.
22 For in a few short years I shall go down that road from which I shall not return.
“Naanị afọ ole na ole ga-agabiga tupu m ga nʼụzọ nke nlọghachi m na-adịghị.
