Jeremiah 52
1 Zedekiah was twenty-one when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem for eleven years. His mother's name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah She came from Libnah.
௧சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தொரு வயதாயிருந்தான்; அவன் பதினொரு வருடம் எருசலேமில் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்; அவனுடைய தாயின்பெயர் அமுத்தாள், அவள் லிப்னா ஊரானாகிய எரேமியாவின் மகள்.
2 He did evil in the Lord's sight, just as Jehoiakim had done.
௨யோயாக்கீம் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் அவனும் யெகோவாவுடைய பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.
3 All this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, because of the Lord's anger, until he eventually banished them from his presence. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
௩எருசலேமையும் யூதாவையும் யெகோவா தம்முடைய சமுகத்தைவிட்டு அகற்றிவிடும்வரை, அவைகளின் மேலுள்ள அவருடைய கோபத்தினால் இப்படி நடந்ததும் அல்லாமல், சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோன் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம் செய்தான்.
4 In the ninth year of Zedekiah's reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, attacked Jerusalem with his entire army. He set up camp around the city and built siege ramps against the walls.
௪அவன் ஆட்சிசெய்யும் ஒன்பதாம் வருடம் பத்தாம் மாதம் பத்தாந்தேதியில் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரும், அவனுடைய எல்லாப் படையும் எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாய் வந்து, அதற்கு எதிராக முகாமிட்டு, சுற்றிலும் அதற்கு எதிராக முற்றுகைச் சுவர்களைக் கட்டினார்கள்.
5 The city remained under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
௫அப்படியே சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவின் பதினோராம் ஆட்சியின் வருடம் வரை நகரம் முற்றுகை போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.
6 By the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine in the city was so bad that the people had nothing left to eat.
௬நான்காம் மாதம் ஒன்பதாம் தேதியில் பஞ்சம் நகரத்தில் அதிகரித்து, தேசத்தின் மக்களுக்கு ஆகாரமில்லாமல் போனது.
7 Then the city wall was broken through, and all the soldiers ran away, escaping at night through the gate between the two walls by the king's garden, even though the Babylonians had the city surrounded. They went in the direction of the Arabah,
௭நகரத்தின் மதில் இடிக்கப்பட்டது; அப்பொழுது கல்தேயர் நகரத்தைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கும்போது, போர்வீரர்கள் எல்லோரும் இரவுநேரத்தில் ஓடி, ராஜாவின் தோட்டத்தின் வழியே இரண்டு மதில்களுக்கும் நடுவிலுள்ள வழியாக நகரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, வயல்வெளியின் வழியே போய்விட்டார்கள்.
8 but the Babylonian army chased after the king and caught up with him on the plains of Jericho. His whole army had scattered and left him.
௮ஆனாலும் கல்தேயருடைய படைவீரர்கள் ராஜாவைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து, எரிகோவின் சமமான பூமியில் சிதேக்கியாவை நெருங்கினார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய படைவீரர்கள் எல்லோரும் அவனைவிட்டுச் சிதறிப்போயிருந்தார்கள்.
9 They captured the king and took him to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where he sentenced him.
௯அவர்கள் ராஜாவைப் பிடித்து, அவனை ஆமாத் தேசத்தின் ஊராகிய ரிப்லாவுக்குப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; அங்கே இவனுக்கு நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக் கொடுத்தான்.
10 The king of Babylon slaughtered Zedekiah's sons while he watched, and also killed the officials of Judah there at Riblah.
௧0பின்பு பாபிலோன் ராஜா சிதேக்கியாவின் மகன்களை அவன் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டினான்; யூதாவின் பிரபுக்கள் எல்லோரையும் ரிப்லாவில் வெட்டினான்.
11 Then he gouged out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him in bronze shackles. The king of Babylon took him to Babylon and imprisoned him there until the day he died.
௧௧சிதேக்கியாவின் கண்களைக் குருடாக்கி, அவனுக்கு இரண்டு விலங்குகளை மாட்டினான்; பின்பு பாபிலோன் ராஜா அவனைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவன் மரணமடையும் நாள்வரை அவனைக் காவல் வீட்டில் அடைத்துவைத்தான்.
12 On the tenth day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guard, an officer of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.
௧௨ஐந்தாம் மாதம் பத்தாந்தேதியில், பாபிலோன் ராஜாவுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிறவனாகிய காவற்சேனாதிபதியான நேபுசராதான் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான்; அது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜா பாபிலோனை அரசாளுகிற பத்தொன்பதாம் வருடமாயிருந்தது.
13 He burned down the Lord's Temple, the royal palace, and all the large buildings of Jerusalem.
௧௩அவன் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தையும், ராஜாவின் அரண்மனையையும், எருசலேமிலுள்ள எல்லா வீடுகளையும், ஒவ்வொரு பெரிய மனிதனுடைய வீட்டையும் நெருப்பினால் எரித்துப்போட்டான்.
14 The whole Babylonian army under the commander of the guard knocked down all the walls around Jerusalem.
௧௪காவற்சேனாதிபதியுடன் இருந்த கல்தேயரின் படைவீரர்கள் அனைவரும் எருசலேமைச் சுற்றிலும் இருந்த மதில்களை இடித்துப்போட்டார்கள்.
15 Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guard, deported some of the poor people and those who were left in the city, even those who had gone over to the side of the king of Babylon, as well as the rest of the craftsmen.
௧௫மக்களில் ஏழைகளான சிலரையும் நகரத்தில் மீதியான மற்ற மக்களையும், பாபிலோன் ராஜாவிடம் ஓடிவந்துவிட்டவர்களையும், மற்ற மக்களையும் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் சிறைகளாகக் கொண்டுபோனான்.
16 But Nebuzaradan allowed others of the poor people who were left in the country to stay and take care of the vineyards and the fields.
௧௬ஆனால் தேசத்தாரில் ஏழைகளான சிலரைக் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் திராட்சைத்தோட்டக்காரராகவும் பயிர்செய்யும் மக்களாகவும் விட்டுவைத்தான்.
17 The Babylonians broke into pieces the bronze pillars, the movable carts, and the bronze Sea that belonged to the Lord's Temple, and they took all the bronze to Babylon.
௧௭யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்த வெண்கலத் தூண்களையும், ஆதாரங்களையும், வெண்கலக் கடல்தொட்டியையும் கல்தேயர் உடைத்துப்போட்டு, அவைகளின் வெண்கலத்தையெல்லாம் பாபிலோனுக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
18 They also took all the pots, shovels, lamp snuffers, sprinkling bowls, and all the other bronze items used in the Temple service.
௧௮செம்புச்சட்டிகளையும், சாம்பல் எடுக்கும் கரண்டிகளையும், வெட்டுக்கத்திகளையும், கலங்களையும், கலயங்களையும், ஆராதனைக்குரிய எல்லா வெண்கலப் பணிப்பொருட்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
19 The commander of the guard removed the basins, censers, sprinkling bowls, pots, lampstands, dishes and bowls, anything that was made of pure gold or silver.
௧௯பசும்பொன்னும் சுத்தவெள்ளியுமான கிண்ணங்களையும், தூபகலசங்களையும், கலங்களையும், சட்டிகளையும், விளக்குத்தண்டுகளையும், கலயங்களையும், கரகங்களையும் காவற்சேனாதிபதி எடுத்துக்கொண்டான்.
20 The amount of bronze that came from the two columns, the Sea, the twelve bronze bulls under it, and the movable carts, which Solomon had made for the Lord's Temple, all of this weighed more than could be measured.
௨0சாலொமோன் ராஜா யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்துக்காகச் செய்து வைத்த இரண்டு தூண்களும் ஒரு கடல்தொட்டியும் ஆதாரங்களின் கீழ்நின்ற பன்னிரண்டு வெண்கல காளைச்சிலைகளும் ஆகிய இவைகளுக்குரிய வெண்கலத்திற்கு எடையில்லை.
21 Each column was eighteen cubits tall and twelve cubits around. They were hollow with walls four fingers thick.
௨௧அந்தத் தூண்களோவென்றால், ஒவ்வொரு தூணும் பதினெட்டுமுழ உயரமாயிருந்தது; பன்னிரண்டு முழ நூல் அதைச் சுற்றும்; நான்கு விரற்கடை அதின் கனம்; உள்ளே குழாயாயிருந்தது.
22 The bronze capital on top of one column was five cubits high, with a network of bronze pomegranates around it. The second column was the same, and also had a decorative network.
௨௨அதின்மேல் வெண்கலக் குமிழ் இருந்தது; ஒரு குமிழின் உயரம் ஐந்து முழம், குமிழில் சுற்றிலும் பின்னலும் மாதுளம்பழங்களும் செய்திருந்தது; எல்லாம் வெண்கலமாயிருந்தது; அதற்குச் சரியாய் மற்றத் தூணுக்கும் மாதுளம்பழங்களும் செய்திருந்தது.
23 There were ninety-six bronze pomegranates around each column. Above the network were a total of one hundred pomegranates.
௨௩தொண்ணூற்றாறு மாதுளம்பழங்கள் நான்கு திசைகளுக்கும் எதிராகச் செய்திருந்தது; குமிழைச் சுற்றிலும் செய்திருந்த மாதுளம்பழங்கள் நூறு.
24 The commander of the guard took as prisoners Seraiah, the chief priest, Zephaniah the priest, second in rank, and the three Temple doorkeepers.
௨௪காவற்சேனாதிபதி முதன்மை ஆசாரியனாகிய செராயாவையும், இரண்டாம் ஆசாரியனாகிய செப்பனியாவையும், வாசற்படியின் மூன்று காவற்காரரையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனான்.
25 From those left in the city he took the officer in charge of the soldiers, and seven of the king's advisors. He also took the secretary to the army commander who was in charge of calling up the people for military service, and sixty other men who were present in the city.
௨௫நகரத்திலோவென்றால் அவன் போர்வீரர்களின் விசாரிப்புக்காரனாகிய தலைவன் ஒருவனையும், ராஜாவின் மந்திரிகளில் நகரத்தில் பிடிபட்ட ஏழுபேரையும், தேசத்தின் மக்களை வேலையில் அமர்த்துகிற தலைமையான காரியதரிசியையும், தேசத்து மக்களில் பட்டணத்தின் நடுவில் பிடிபட்ட அறுபது பேரையும் கொண்டுபோனான்.
26 Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guard, took them and brought them before the king of Babylon at Riblah.
௨௬அவர்களைக் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் பிடித்து, அவர்களை ரிப்லாவுக்குப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவினிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான்.
27 The king of Babylon had them executed at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So the people of Judah had to leave their land.
௨௭அப்பொழுது பாபிலோன் ராஜா ஆமாத் என்னும் தேசத்தின் பட்டணமாகிய ரிப்லாவில் அவர்களை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; இவ்விதமாக யூதர்கள் தங்கள் தேசத்திலிருந்து சிறைகளாய்க் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டார்கள்.
28 This is a record of the number of people Nebuchadnezzar took into exile. In the seventh year of his reign he took 3,023 Judeans.
௨௮நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் சிறைபிடித்துப்போன மக்களின் தொகை எவ்வளவென்றால், ஏழாம் வருடத்தில் மூவாயிரத்து இருபத்து மூன்று யூதரும்,
29 In his eighteenth year Nebuchadnezzar took another 832 from Jerusalem.
௨௯நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய பதினெட்டாம் வருடத்தில் எருசலேமிலிருந்து எண்ணூற்று முப்பத்திரண்டு பேர்களும் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டார்கள்.
30 In his twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guard, took another 745 Judeans, making a total of 4,600.
௩0நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய இருபத்துமூன்றாம் வருடத்தில் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் யூதரில் எழுநூற்று நாற்பத்தைந்துபேரைச் சிறைபிடித்துக் கொண்டுபோனான்; மொத்தம் நான்காயிரத்து அறுநூறு பேர்களாம்.
31 In the year Evil-merodach became king of Babylon, he released Jehoiachin, king of Judah, from prison. This happened on the twenty-fifth day of the twelfth month of the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin, king of Judah.
௩௧யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீனுடைய சிறையிருப்பின் முப்பத்தேழாம் வருடம் பன்னிரண்டாம் மாதம் இருபத்தைந்தாம் தேதியில், ஏவில் மெரொதாக் என்னும் பாபிலோன் ராஜா, தான் ராஜாவான வருடத்தில், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீனைச் சிறைச்சாலையிலிருந்து வெளியில் கொண்டுவந்து, அவன் தலையை உயர்த்தி.
32 The king of Babylon treated him well him and gave him a position of honor higher than the other kings there with him in Babylon.
௩௨அவனுடன் அன்பாய்ப் பேசி, அவனுடைய இருக்கையைத் தன்னுடன் பாபிலோனில் இருந்த ராஜாக்களுடைய இருக்கைகளுக்கு மேலாக வைத்து,
33 So Jehoiachin was able to remove his prison clothes, and he ate frequently at the king's table for the rest of his life.
௩௩அவனுடைய சிறையிருப்பு உடைகளை மாற்றினான்; அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த எல்லா நாட்களும் தன் முன்னிலையில் அனுதினமும் உணவு சாப்பிடச்செய்தான்.
34 The king provided Jehoiachin with a daily allowance for the rest of his life until he died.
௩௪அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த நாட்களெல்லாம் அவனுடைய மரணநாள் வரையும், அவனுடைய செலவுக்காகப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவினால் கட்டளையான அநுதினத் திட்டத்தின்படி, அநுதினமும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுவந்தது.
