Jeremiah 39
1 In the tenth month of the ninth year of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his whole army arrived at Jerusalem and besieged it.
Девете године Седекије, цара Јудиног, месеца десетог дође Навуходоносор, цар вавилонски, са свом војском својом на Јерусалим и стаде га бити.
2 On the ninth day of the fourth month of the eleventh year of Zedekiah's reign, the city wall was broken through.
Једанаесте године Седекијине, месеца четвртог, деветог дана тог месеца провалише у град.
3 All the officials of the king of Babylon came in and took over the city, making their headquarters at the Middle Gate. They were Nergal-sharezer of Samgar, Nebo-sarsekim the Rabsaris, Nergal-sharezer the Rabmag, and all the other officials of the king of Babylon.
И уђоше сви кнезови цара вавилонског, и стадоше код средњих врата Нергал-саресер, Самгар-невон, Сарсехим, старешина над дворанима, Нергал-саресер, старешина над врачима, и сви други кнезови цара вавилонског.
4 When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the defenders saw them there, they ran away. They escaped from the city during the night through the king's garden, passing through the gate between the two walls, and took the road to the Arabah.
А кад их виде Седекија цар Јудин и сви војници, побегоше и изиђоше ноћу из града покрај врта царског, на врата међу два зида; и иђаху преко поља.
5 But the Babylonian army chased after them and caught up with Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. They captured him and brought him before Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he put him on trial and punished him.
А војска халдејска гоњаше их, и стиже Седекију у пољу јерихонском, и ухвативши га доведоше га к Навуходоносору цару вавилонском у Ривлу, у земљи ематској, те му суди.
6 The king of Babylon had Zedekiah's sons killed as Zedekiah watched, and he also executed all of Judah's leaders there in Riblah.
И закла цар вавилонски синове Седекијине у Ривли на његове очи, и све знатне људе од Јуде покла цар вавилонски.
7 Then he had Zedekiah's eyes gouged out, and had him bound with bronze chains and taken away to Babylon.
Иза тога Седекији ископа очи, и свеза га у двоје вериге бронзане, да га одведе у Вавилон.
8 The Babylonians burned down the king's palace and the people's houses, and they demolished Jerusalem's city walls.
А дом царев и домове народне попалише Халдејци огњем, и зидове јерусалимске раскопаше.
9 Then Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard carried off to Babylon the rest of the people who had stayed in the city, together with those who had deserted and gone over to him.
А остатак народа што оста у граду и пребеге који пребегоше к њему, остатак народа што беше остао, одведе Невузардан заповедник стражарски у Вавилон.
10 But he left behind in the land of Judah some of the poorest people who didn't have any property. He gave them vineyards and fields at that time.
Само најсиромашније из народа, који ништа немаху, остави Невузардан заповедник стражарски у земљи Јудиној, и даде им тада винограде и њиве.
11 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had given orders to Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard regarding Jeremiah, saying,
А Навуходоносор, цар вавилонски, заповеди за Јеремију Невузардану заповеднику стражарском говорећи:
12 “Go and get Jeremiah and watch out that nothing bad happens to him. Do whatever he wants.”
Узми га и гледај га добро, и не чини му зло, него му чини шта ти год каже.
13 So Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard, Nebushazban the Rabsaris, Nergal-sharezer the Rabmag, and all the army captains of the king of Babylon
И послаше Невузардан заповедник стражарски и Невусазван, старешина над дворанима, и Нергал-саресер, старешина над врачима, и сви кнезови цара вавилонског,
14 took Jeremiah from the guard's courtyard, and they handed him over to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to take him home. Jeremiah stayed there with his own people.
Послаше, те узеше Јеремију из трема од тамнице, и предаше га Годолији сину Ахикама сина Сафановог да га одведе кући; тако оста међу народом.
15 During the time that Jeremiah had been kept prisoner in the guard's courtyard, a message from the Lord had come to him:
А Јеремији дође реч Господња кад беше затворен у трему од тамнице говорећи:
16 “Go and tell Ebed-melech the Cushite that this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am about to keep my promise I made against this city—to harm it and not to help it—you'll see it for yourself when it happens.
Иди и реци Авдемелеху Етиопљанину говорећи: Овако вели Господ над војскама Бог Израиљев: Ево ја ћу учинити да се збуду речи моје томе граду на зло, а не на добро, и навршиће се пред тобом у онај дан.
17 But when that day comes I'm going to save you, declares the Lord. You won't be handed over to the people you're afraid of.
Али ћу тебе избавити у онај дан, говори Господ, и нећеш бити предан у руке људима којих се бојиш.
18 I promise to rescue you so that you're won't be killed. Your reward will be your life, because you trusted in me, declares the Lord.”
Јер ћу те доиста сачувати, те нећеш пасти од мача, и биће ти душа твоја место плена зато што си се поуздао у ме, говори Господ.
