< Jeremiah 33 >
1 A second message came from the Lord to Jeremiah while he was still being held in the guard's courtyard of the guard.
Nígbà tí Jeremiah wà nínú àgbàlá túbú, ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ̀ ọ́ wá lẹ́ẹ̀kejì:
2 This is what the Lord says, the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who shaped it and set it in place, the Lord is his name:
“Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa sọ, ẹni tí ó dá ayé, Olúwa tí ó mọ ayé tí ó sì fi ìdí rẹ̀ múlẹ̀, Olúwa ni orúkọ rẹ̀:
3 Call out to me, and I will answer you, explaining to you amazing, hidden things about which you don't have any idea.
‘Pè mí, èmi ó sì dá ọ lóhùn, èmi ó sì sọ ohun alágbára ńlá àti ọ̀pọ̀ ohun tí kò ṣe é wádìí tí ìwọ kò mọ̀ fún ọ.’
4 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about Jerusalem's houses and the palaces of the kings of Judah that were demolished for materials to be used to defend against the siege ramps and the enemy attacks.
Nítorí èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run àwọn Israẹli sọ nípa àwọn ilẹ̀ ìlú yìí àti ààfin àwọn ọba Juda tí ó ti wó lulẹ̀ nítorí àwọn ìdọ̀tí àti idà
5 They come to fight the Babylonians but will only fill those houses with the dead bodies of those I'm going to kill in my furious anger. I have given up on this city because of all its wickedness.
nínú ìjà pẹ̀lú Kaldea: ‘Wọn yóò kún fún ọ̀pọ̀ òkú ọmọkùnrin tí èmi yóò pa nínú ìbínú àti nínú ìrunú mi. Èmi ó pa ojú mi mọ́ kúrò ní ìlú yìí nítorí gbogbo búburú wọn.
6 But even so, in the future I will restore and repair it, and I will heal its people and give them lasting peace and safety.
“‘Wò ó, èmi ó mú ọ̀já àti oògùn ìmúláradá dì í; èmi ó wo àwọn ènìyàn mi sàn. Èmi ó sì jẹ́ kí wọn ó jẹ ìgbádùn lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ àlàáfíà àti òtítọ́.
7 I will bring Judah and Israel back from exile and will make them as strong as before.
Èmi ó mú Juda àti Israẹli kúrò nínú ìgbèkùn, èmi ó sì tún wọn kọ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọ́n ṣe wà tẹ́lẹ̀.
8 I will wash away all their sins that they committed against me, and I will forgive all their guilt from when they sinned in rebelling against me.
Èmi ó wẹ̀ wọ́n nù kúrò nínú gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ tí wọ́n ti ṣẹ sí mi. Èmi ó sì dárí gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àìṣedéédéé wọn sí mi jì wọ́n.
9 Then this city will bring me a glorious reputation, celebrated and praised by all the nations of the earth who get to hear of all the good things I do for it. They will tremble, amazed at how much good I have done for it, how I have made it so prosperous.
Nígbà náà ni ìlú yìí ó fún mi ní òkìkí, ayọ̀, ìyìn àti ọlá níwájú gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè ayé; tí wọ́n gbọ́ gbogbo rere tí èmi ṣe fún wọn. Wọn ó sì bẹ̀rù, wọn ó wárìrì fún ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ oore àti àlàáfíà tí èmi pèsè fún wọn.’
10 This is what the Lord says: You call this place “a wasteland where there's no people or animals.” Well, here in the towns of Judah and in the empty streets of Jerusalem where no people or animals live, one day
“Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa wí, ‘Ẹ̀yin yóò wí nípa ibí yìí pé, “Ó dahoro, láìsí ènìyàn tàbí ẹran.” Síbẹ̀ ní ìlú Juda àti ní òpópónà Jerusalẹmu tí ó dahoro, láìsí ẹni tó gbé ibẹ̀; ìbá à se ènìyàn tàbí ẹran, tí yóò gbọ́ lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí.
11 the sounds of joy and celebration will be heard there again, the happy voices of bride and bridegroom, and the shouts of praise of those bringing thank offerings to the Lord's Temple, saying: “Thank the Lord Almighty! For the Lord is good; his trustworthy love lasts endures forever.” For I will bring the land back from its “captivity” too, says the Lord.
Ariwo ayọ̀ àti inú dídùn, ohùn ìyàwó àti ti ọkọ ìyàwó àti ohùn àwọn tí ó ru ẹbọ ọpẹ́ wọn nílé Olúwa wí pé: “‘“Yin Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun, nítorí Olúwa dára, ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ dúró títí láéláé.” Nítorí èmi ó dá ìkólọ ilẹ̀ náà padà sí bí o ṣe wà tẹ́lẹ̀,’ ni Olúwa wí.
12 This is what the Lord Almighty says: In this wasteland where there's no people or animals, and in all its towns, once again there'll be pastures where shepherds can take their flocks.
“Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí, ‘Ní ilẹ̀ yìí tí ó ti dahoro láìsí ọkùnrin àti àwọn ẹran nínú gbogbo ìlú, kò ní sí pápá oko fún àwọn olùṣọ́-àgùntàn láti mú àwọn ẹran ọ̀sìn wọn sinmi.
13 In all the towns, whether in the hill country, or the foothills, or the Negev, or the land of Benjamin or the towns around Jerusalem, or throughout the cities of Judah, flocks will once again be counted by their shepherds, says the Lord.
Ní ìlú òkè wọ̀n-ọn-nì, nínú ìlú àfonífojì, àti nínú ìlú ìhà gúúsù, àti ní ilẹ̀ ti Benjamini, ní ibi wọ̀n-ọn-nì tí ó yí Jerusalẹmu ká, àti ní ìlú Juda ni agbo àgùntàn yóò tún máa kọjá ní ọwọ́ ẹni tí ń kà wọ́n,’ ni Olúwa wí.
14 Look! The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will keep my promise to do good to the people of Israel and Judah.
“‘Àwọn ọjọ́ náà ń bọ̀,’ ni Olúwa wí, ‘tí èmi ó mú ìlérí rere tí mo ṣe fún ilé Israẹli àti ilé Juda ṣẹ.
15 At that time, right there and then, I will give you a good king from the line of David. He will do what is just and right throughout the country.
“‘Ní ọjọ́ wọ̀n-ọn-nì àti ní àkókò náà, Èmi ó gbé olódodo dìde láti ẹ̀ka Dafidi. Yóò ṣe ìdájọ́ àti ohun tí ó tọ́ ní ilẹ̀ náà.
16 This is when Judah will be saved, and the people of Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name he will be called: The Lord Who Makes Us Right.
Ní ọjọ́ wọ̀n-ọn-nì, Juda yóò di ẹni ìgbàlà. Jerusalẹmu yóò sì máa gbé láìséwu. Orúkọ yìí ni a ó máa pè é Olúwa wa olódodo.’
17 This is what the Lord says: David will always have a descendant who will be king of Israel,
Nítorí báyìí ni Olúwa wí: ‘Dafidi kò ní kùnà láti rí ọkùnrin tí yóò jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ ní ilé Israẹli.
18 and the Levitical priests will always have a descendant to present burnt offerings, grain offerings, and sacrifices to me.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwọn àlùfáà tí ó jẹ́ ọmọ Lefi kò ní kùnà láti ní ọkùnrin kan tí ó dúró níwájú mi ní gbogbo ìgbà láti rú ẹbọ sísun; ẹbọ jíjẹ àti láti pèsè ìrúbọ.’”
19 A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah:
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa sì tọ Jeremiah wá wí pé:
20 This is what the Lord says: If you were able to break my agreement with the day and with the night, so that they wouldn't come at the right time,
“Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa sọ: ‘Tí ìwọ bá lè dá májẹ̀mú mi ní òru tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ọ̀sán àti òru kò lè sí ní àkókò wọn mọ́.
21 only then would my agreement be broken with David my servant and with the Levites who serve as my priests, so that David would not have a descendant to rule on his throne.
Nígbà náà ni májẹ̀mú mi pẹ̀lú Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi àti májẹ̀mú mi pẹ̀lú Lefi tí ó jẹ́ àlùfáà, àwọn ìránṣẹ́ níwájú mi lè bàjẹ́, tí Dafidi kò sì rí ẹni láti jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ rẹ̀.
22 In the same way that the stars of heaven can't be counted, and the sand on the seashore can't be measured, that's how many times I will multiply the number of my servant David's descendants and the Levites who serve me.
Èmi ó mú àwọn ọmọ lẹ́yìn Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi àti Lefi tí ó jẹ́ oníwàásù níwájú mi di bí ìràwọ̀ ojú ọ̀run, tí kò ṣe é kà àti bí iyẹ̀pẹ̀ ojú Òkun tí kò ṣe é wọ́n.’”
23 Another message from the Lord came to Jeremiah:
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ Jeremiah wá wí pé:
24 Have you heard what people are saying: “The Lord chose two families, but now he's rejected them”? So they look down on my people and don't consider them worthy of being called a nation.
“Ǹjẹ́ ìwọ kò kíyèsi pé àwọn ènìyàn wọ̀nyí ń sọ pé: ‘Olúwa ti kọ àwọn ọba méjèèjì tí ó yàn sílẹ̀’? Nítorí náà, ni wọ́n ti ṣe kẹ́gàn àwọn ènìyàn mi. Wọn kò sì mọ̀ wọ́n gẹ́gẹ́ bí orílẹ̀-èdè kan.
25 This is what the Lord says: Just as I can't break my agreement with the day and the night and the laws that regulate heaven and earth,
Báyìí ni Olúwa wí: ‘Bí èmi kò bá ti da májẹ̀mú mi pẹ̀lú ọ̀sán àti òru àti pẹ̀lú òfin ọ̀run àti ayé tí kò lè yẹ̀.
26 so I can't reject the descendants of Jacob and of my servant David, and I can't fail to make his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will bring them back from exile and I will be kind to them.
Nígbà náà ni èmi ó kọ ọmọ lẹ́yìn Jakọbu àti Dafidi ìránṣẹ́ mi tí èmi kò sì ní yan ọ̀kan nínú ọmọkùnrin rẹ̀ láti jẹ́ alákòóso lórí àwọn ọmọ Abrahamu, Isaaki àti Jakọbu; nítorí èmi ó mú ìkólọ wọn padà; èmi ó sì ṣàánú fún wọn.’”
