Jeremiah 33
1 A second message came from the Lord to Jeremiah while he was still being held in the guard's courtyard of the guard.
E veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias pela segunda vez, estando ele ainda preso no pátio da guarda, dizendo:
2 This is what the Lord says, the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who shaped it and set it in place, the Lord is his name:
Assim diz o SENHOR que faz [isto]; o SENHOR, que forma isto para o confirmar; EU-SOU é o seu nome:
3 Call out to me, and I will answer you, explaining to you amazing, hidden things about which you don't have any idea.
Clama a mim, e eu te responderei; e te direi coisas grandes e difíceis que tu não conheces.
4 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about Jerusalem's houses and the palaces of the kings of Judah that were demolished for materials to be used to defend against the siege ramps and the enemy attacks.
Pois assim diz o SENHOR, Deus de Israel, quanto às casas desta cidade, e às casas dos reis de Judá, que foram derrubadas com as rampas de cerco e com espada:
5 They come to fight the Babylonians but will only fill those houses with the dead bodies of those I'm going to kill in my furious anger. I have given up on this city because of all its wickedness.
Vieram lutar contra os caldeus, para enchê-las de cadáveres de homens, aos quais feri em minha ira e meu furor; pois escondi meu rosto desta cidade, por causa de toda a sua malícia.
6 But even so, in the future I will restore and repair it, and I will heal its people and give them lasting peace and safety.
Eis que eu lhes trarei saúde e cura, e os sararei; e lhes manifestarei abundância de paz e de verdade.
7 I will bring Judah and Israel back from exile and will make them as strong as before.
E restaurarei Judá de seu infortúnio, e israel de seu infortúnio, e os edificarei como no princípio.
8 I will wash away all their sins that they committed against me, and I will forgive all their guilt from when they sinned in rebelling against me.
E os purificarei de toda a sua maldade [com] que pecaram contra mim; e perdoarei todas as suas maldades [com] que pecaram contra mim, e que se rebelaram contra mim.
9 Then this city will bring me a glorious reputation, celebrated and praised by all the nations of the earth who get to hear of all the good things I do for it. They will tremble, amazed at how much good I have done for it, how I have made it so prosperous.
E [esta cidade] será para mim como nome de alegria, de louvor e de glória, entre todas as nações da terra, que ouvirem todo o bem que eu lhes faço; e se espantarão e tremerão por causa de todo o bem e de toda a paz que eu lhes darei.
10 This is what the Lord says: You call this place “a wasteland where there's no people or animals.” Well, here in the towns of Judah and in the empty streets of Jerusalem where no people or animals live, one day
Assim diz o SENHOR: Neste lugar, do qual dizeis que está desolado, sem homens nem animais, nas cidades de Judá e nas ruas de Jerusalém, que estão desoladas, sem homem, nem morador, nem animal, ainda se ouvirá
11 the sounds of joy and celebration will be heard there again, the happy voices of bride and bridegroom, and the shouts of praise of those bringing thank offerings to the Lord's Temple, saying: “Thank the Lord Almighty! For the Lord is good; his trustworthy love lasts endures forever.” For I will bring the land back from its “captivity” too, says the Lord.
Voz de júbilo e voz de alegria, voz de noivo e voz de noiva, e voz dos que dizem: Louvai ao SENHOR dos exércitos, pois o SENHOR é bom; pois sua bondade dura para sempre; [e também] dos que trazem louvor à casa do SENHOR; porque restaurarei esta terra de seu infortúnio para o que era no princípio, diz o SENHOR.
12 This is what the Lord Almighty says: In this wasteland where there's no people or animals, and in all its towns, once again there'll be pastures where shepherds can take their flocks.
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Neste lugar desolado, sem homem nem animal, e em todas as suas cidades, haverá novamente morada de pastores, que façam deitar o gado.
13 In all the towns, whether in the hill country, or the foothills, or the Negev, or the land of Benjamin or the towns around Jerusalem, or throughout the cities of Judah, flocks will once again be counted by their shepherds, says the Lord.
Nas cidades das montanhas, nas cidades das planícies, nas cidades do Negueve, na terra de Benjamim, e ao redor de Jerusalém e nas cidades de Judá, novamente passará o gado pelas mãos dos contadores, diz o SENHOR.
14 Look! The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will keep my promise to do good to the people of Israel and Judah.
Eis que vêm dias, diz o SENHOR, em que eu confirmarei a boa palavra que prometi à casa de Israel e à casa de Judá.
15 At that time, right there and then, I will give you a good king from the line of David. He will do what is just and right throughout the country.
Naqueles dias e naquele tempo farei brotar a Davi um Renovo de justiça; e ele fará juízo e justiça na terra.
16 This is when Judah will be saved, and the people of Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name he will be called: The Lord Who Makes Us Right.
Naqueles dias Judá será salvo, e Jerusalém habitará em segurança, e isto é o que a chamarão: O SENHOR [é] a nossa justiça.
17 This is what the Lord says: David will always have a descendant who will be king of Israel,
Pois assim diz o SENHOR: Não faltará a Davi homem que se sente sobre o trono da casa de Israel;
18 and the Levitical priests will always have a descendant to present burnt offerings, grain offerings, and sacrifices to me.
Nem aos sacerdotes levitas faltará homem diante de mim que ofereça holocaustos, queime oferta de cereais, e faça sacrifícios todos os dias.
19 A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah:
E veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, dizendo:
20 This is what the Lord says: If you were able to break my agreement with the day and with the night, so that they wouldn't come at the right time,
Assim diz o SENHOR: Se puderdes invalidar meu pacto do dia e meu pacto da noite, de tal modo que não haja dia e noite a seu tempo,
21 only then would my agreement be broken with David my servant and with the Levites who serve as my priests, so that David would not have a descendant to rule on his throne.
Também se poderá invalidar meu pacto com meu servo Davi, para que não tenha filho que reine sobre seu trono, e com os levitas e sacerdotes, trabalhadores a meu serviço.
22 In the same way that the stars of heaven can't be counted, and the sand on the seashore can't be measured, that's how many times I will multiply the number of my servant David's descendants and the Levites who serve me.
Assim como não se pode contar o exército do céu, nem se pode medir a areia do mar, assim também multiplicarei a descendência de Davi meu servo, e os levitas que me servem.
23 Another message from the Lord came to Jeremiah:
E veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, dizendo:
24 Have you heard what people are saying: “The Lord chose two families, but now he's rejected them”? So they look down on my people and don't consider them worthy of being called a nation.
Por acaso não tens visto o que este povo fala? Eles dizem: As duas famílias que o SENHOR havia escolhido agora ele as rejeitou. E desprezam a meu povo, como se não o considerassem mais como nação.
25 This is what the Lord says: Just as I can't break my agreement with the day and the night and the laws that regulate heaven and earth,
Assim diz o SENHOR: Se meu pacto com o dia e a noite não durasse, se eu não tivesse estabelecido as leis do céu e a terra,
26 so I can't reject the descendants of Jacob and of my servant David, and I can't fail to make his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will bring them back from exile and I will be kind to them.
Então também rejeitaria a descendência de Jacó, e de Davi meu servo, para que não tomasse da sua descendência aos que governem sobre a descendência de Abraão, Isaque, e Jacó. Pois eu os restaurarei de seu infortúnio, e deles terei misericórdia.
