< Jeremiah 28 >
1 This is what happened in the beginning of the reign of King Zedekiah of Judah, in the fifth month of that same year, the fourth year. The prophet Hananiah, son of Azzur, who was from Gibeon, told me in the Lord's Temple in front of the priests and all the people:
Ket napasamak iti dayta a tawen, iti maikalima a bulan ti maika-uppat a tawen a rugrugi ti panagturay ni Zedekias nga ari ti Juda, a ni Hananias a profeta a putot ni Azur a nagtaud iti Gibeon ket nakisao kaniak iti balay ni Yahweh iti sangoanan dagiti papadi ken dagiti amin a tattao. Kinunana,
2 “This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
“Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin a Dios ti Israel: Dinadaelkon ti sangol nga impabaklay ti ari ti Babilonia.
3 Before two years have passed I'm going to bring back to Jerusalem all the Temple objects that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed and took to Babylon.
Iti uneg ti dua a tawen, isublikto iti daytoy a disso dagiti amin a banbanag a kukua ti balay ni Yahweh nga innala ni Nebucadnezar nga ari ti Babilonia manipud iti daytoy a disso ket impanna idiay Babilonia.
4 I will also bring back to Jerusalem Jehoiachin, son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, together with all the exiles from Judah who were taken to Babylon, declares the Lord, because I'm going to break the yoke of the king of Babylon.”
Ket isublikto iti daytoy a lugar ti ari ti Juda a ni Jehoiachin a putot ni Jehoiakim, ken amin dagiti naipanaw iti Juda a kas balud a naipan idiay Babilonia— kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh—ta dadaelekto ti sangol ti ari ti Babilonia.”
5 Then the prophet Jeremiah responded to the prophet Hananiah in front of the priests and all the people who were standing in the Lord's Temple.
Nakisarita ngarud ni Jeremias a profeta kenni Hananias a profeta iti sangoanan dagiti papadi ken dagiti amin a tattao a nakatakder iti sangoanan ti balay ni Yahweh.
6 “Amen!” said Jeremiah. “I wish the Lord would do just that! I wish the Lord would fulfill your prophetic words and bring back Temple objects and all the exiles back to Jerusalem from Babylon.
Kinuna ni Jeremias a profeta, “Aramiden koma ni Yahweh daytoy! Patalgeden koma ni Yahweh dagiti sasao nga impadtom ken isublina iti daytoy a lugar dagiti banbanag a kukua ti balay ni Yahweh, ken amin dagiti naipan a kas balud idiay Babilonia.
7 But even so, pay attention to this message I'm going to tell you and everyone here.
Nupay kasta, dumngegka iti sao nga ibagak kenka ken kadagiti amin a tattao.
8 The prophets of long ago who came before you and me prophesied war, disaster, and disease against many countries and great kingdoms.
Dagiti profeta nga immun-una a nagbiag sakbay kadata, nagipadtoda met maipanggep kadagiti adu a nasion ken maibusor kadagiti nabibileg a pagarian, maipanggep iti gubat, nakaro a panagbisin ken didigra.
9 When it comes to a prophet who prophesies peace, see if their prophecies come true. Only that will prove they are really sent by the Lord.”
Isu a ti profeta nga agipadpadto nga addanto iti kappia—no pumudno ti saona, ket maammoanto a pudno nga isuna ket profeta nga imbaon ni Yahweh.”
10 Then the prophet Hananiah removed the yoke from the prophet Jeremiah's neck and broke it.
Ngem inikkat ni Hananias a profeta ti sangol nga adda iti tengnged ni Jeremias ket dinadaelna daytoy.
11 Hananiah announced in front of everyone, “This is what the Lord says: Just like this, before two years have passed I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all the nations.” Jeremiah the prophet left.
Ket nagsao ni Hananias iti sangoanan dagiti amin a tattao a kinunana, “Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: Iti uneg ti dua a tawen, kastoyto met laeng ti panangdadaelko iti sangol nga impabaklay ni Nebucadnezar nga ari ti Babilonia iti tunggal nasion.” Kalpasanna, pimmanaw ni Jeremias.
12 However, right after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from his neck, a message of the Lord came to Jeremiah:
Kalpasan a dinanadel ni Hananias a profeta ti sangol nga inikkatna iti tengnged ni Jeremias, immay ti sao ni Yahweh kenni Jeremias a kunana,
13 “Go and tell Hananiah that this is what the Lord says: You may have broken a wooden yoke of wood, but you have replaced it with an iron yoke.
“Mapanmo kasarita ni Hananias ket ibagam, 'Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: Dinadaelmo ti sangol a kayo, ngem mangaramidak iti sangol a landok.'
14 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I have tied iron yokes on the necks of all these nations to force them to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they will serve him. I have even given him control over the wild animals.”
Ta kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin a Dios ti Israel: Nangikabilak iti sangol a landok iti tengnged dagitoy amin a nasion nga agserbi kenni Nebucadnezar nga ari ti Babilonia, ket pagserbianda isuna. Iyawatko met kenkuana dagiti narurungsot nga ayup kadagiti tay-ak tapno iturayanna.”
15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen to this, Hananiah! The Lord didn't send you, but you have convinced these people to believe in a lie.
Kalpasanna, kinuna pay ni Jeremias a profeta kenni Hananias a profeta, “Dumngegka Hananias! Saannaka nga imbaon ni Yahweh, ngem pinamatim dagiti tattao kadagiti inuulbod.
16 So this is what the Lord says: I'm going to get rid of you from the earth. You will die this year because you have promoted rebellion against the Lord.”
Isu a kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: Kitaem, umadanin ti panangpukawko kenka iti daga. Matayka iti daytoy a tawen, agsipud ta inwaragawagmo ti panagsukir kenni Yahweh.”
17 The prophet Hananiah died in the seventh month of that very year.
Ket natay ni Hananias iti maikapito a bulan iti dayta a tawen.
