< Isaiah 1 >

1 This is the vision that Isaiah, son of Amoz, saw about Judah and Jerusalem in the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
Emoniseli oyo Ezayi, mwana mobali ya Amotsi, amonaki na tina na mokili ya Yuda mpe ya engumba Yelusalemi tango Oziasi, Yotami, Akazi mpe Ezekiasi bazalaki bakonzi ya Yuda.
2 Heavens, listen! Earth, pay attention! For the Lord has spoken! I brought up children, I cared for them, but they have rebelled against me.
Oh Lola, yoka! Mabele, pesa matoyi mpo na koyoka! Pamba te Yawe nde azali koloba: « Nabokoli bana mpe nakolisi bango, kasi batombokeli Ngai.
3 An ox knows its owner, and a donkey knows its feeding trough; but my people don't know me, they don't understand me.
Ngombe eyebi nkolo na yango, ane mpe eyebi elielo oyo nkolo na yango apeselaka yango bilei; kasi Isalaele ayebi te, bato na Ngai basosoli te. »
4 What a sinful nation—a people carrying such a load of guilt, an evil generation, corrupt children! They have abandoned the Lord. They have despised Israel's Holy One. They have become strangers. They have gone backwards.
Mawa na yo, ekolo ya bato ya masumu, bato oyo batonda na mabe, libota oyo esalaka mabe mpe bana mabe! Batiki Yawe, batioli Mosantu ya Isalaele mpe bapesi Ye mokongo.
5 Are you wanting to be punished? Are you going to continue to rebel? The whole of your head is damaged, and your heart is totally giving out.
Boni, babeta bino lisusu wapi, bino bato oyo botingami kaka na botomboki? Moto na yo mobimba ezali kobela, motema na yo mobimba ezali na pasi.
6 You're injured from head to toe, bruised and sore, with open wounds that haven't been cleaned or bandaged or treated with olive oil.
Longwa na litambe kino na moto, eloko moko te ezali malamu, kaka bapota mpe matutu oyo basukola te, batia kisi te mpe bapakola mafuta te.
7 Your country has been devastated, your towns burned down, your fields stripped bare by foreigners right in front of you, as they turn it all into a wasteland.
Mokili na bino ebebisami, bingumba na bino esili kozika na moto; bapaya bazali kobebisa bilanga na bino na miso na bino, nyonso ebebisami solo, lokola tango bapanzaka yango na moto ya mobulu.
8 The daughter of Zion is left like a shack in a vineyard, like a hut in a cucumber field, like a city under attack.
Siona, mboka kitoko, etikali kaka yango moko lokola mwa ndako moko ya matiti kati na elanga ya vino, lokola ndako ya kobombamela kati na bilanga ya bapasiteki, lokola engumba oyo ebatelami.
9 If the Lord Almighty hadn't let a few of us survive, we would have become like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Soki Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, abikisaki te ndambo ya bato kati na biso, tolingaki kokoma lokola engumba Sodome, tolingaki kokokana na engumba Gomore.
10 Listen to what the Lord has to say, you rulers of Sodom! Pay attention to the instructions of our God, you people of Gomorrah!
Boyoka Liloba na Yawe, bino bakambi ya engumba Sodome! Boyoka mobeko ya Nzambe na biso, bino bato ya engumba Gomore!
11 What use are all your many sacrifices to me? asks the Lord. I am sick and tired of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of sacrificial animals. I don't delight in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats!
« Ebele ya bambeka na bino ekosala Ngai nini, » elobi Yawe? « Nasili kolemba bambeka na bino ya kotumba, bambeka na bino ya bameme ya mibali mpe mafuta ya bibwele na bino ya mafuta; nazali kosepela ata moke te na makila ya bangombe ya mibali, ya bana meme mpe ya bantaba ya mibali.
12 When you come to appear before me in worship, who asked you to proudly tramp around my courts?
Tango boyaka liboso na Ngai, nani abengaka bino ete boya kokota na lopango na Ngai?
13 Don't bring me any more meaningless offerings; your incense is offensive to me. Your new moon festivals and Sabbath observations and your calling of special religious meetings—I can't stand them because they're evil, as are your solemn assemblies.
Botika komemela Ngai makabo oyo ezanga tina! Nazali koyoka malasi na bino ya ansa nkele. Bafeti na bino ya ebandeli ya sanza, ya Saba mpe mayangani na bino: bafeti wana ya mabe, nazali kokoka yango lisusu te.
14 I detest your new moon and yearly festivals with my whole being! They've become just a burden to me—I can't bear them anymore!
Motema na Ngai eyini bafeti na bino wana ya ebandeli ya sanza mpe bafeti na bino wana ekatama. Ekomi penza mokumba mpo na Ngai, nalembi komema yango.
15 When you hold up your hands to me in prayer, I'll look away. Even though you pray many prayers, I won't pay attention to them, because your hands are full of blood.
Tango bokotombola maboko na bino mpo na kobondela, nakolongola miso na Ngai likolo na bino; ezala soki bosambeli mingi, nakoyoka bino te, pamba te maboko na bino etondi na makila.
16 Wash yourselves and clean yourselves up. Get rid of your sins—I don't want to see them! Stop doing evil!
Bomisukola mpe bomipetola, bolongola misala mabe na bino na miso na Ngai! Botika kosala mabe!
17 Learn to do good; strive for justice, condemn those who oppress others; support the rights of orphans, take up cases to defend widows.
Boyekola nde kosala malamu, boluka bosembo, bosunga moto oyo bazali konyokola, bobundela mwana etike, bokotela mwasi oyo akufisa mobali!
18 Come on, let's argue this out, says the Lord. Even though your sins are like scarlet, they will become white like snow. Even though they are red like crimson, they will become like wool.
Boya sik’oyo, tosilisa likambo, » elobi Yawe. « Ezala masumu na bino ezali motane makasi, ekokoma pembe lokola mvula ya pembe; ata ezali motane lokola ngola, ekokoma lokola bapwale ya meme.
19 If you really want this, and if you do as you're told, then you yourselves will eat the best things that the land produces.
Soki bozwi mokano ya kotosa Ngai, bokolia mbuma kitoko ya mokili.
20 But if you are defiant, and if you are rebellious, you'll be killed by the sword. This is what the Lord has declared!
Kasi soki kaka botie moto makasi mpe botomboki, bokokufa na mopanga. » Pamba te monoko ya Yawe nde elobi.
21 The city that used to be faithful has turned into a prostitute! Once she operated on principles of justice and followed what was right, but now only murderers live there.
Tala ndenge nini engumba ya boyengebene ekomi lokola mwasi ya ndumba! Ezalaki liboso engumba etonda na bosembo, boyengebene ezalaki kovanda kati na yango; kasi lelo oyo ekomi kobomba babomi.
22 Your silver has become worthless waste; you wine has been watered down.
Palata na yo ekomi bosoto, vino na yo ya kitoko ekomi mayi-mayi.
23 Your leaders are rebels, friends of thieves. They all love bribes and want to get kickbacks. They don't defend the rights of orphans, and refuse to take cases to help widows.
Bakambi na yo bazali batomboki, baninga ya miyibi; bango nyonso balingaka kaka kanyaka mpe batonda na lokoso ya lifuti. Bakotelaka mwana etike te, mpe likambo ya mwasi oyo akufisa mobali etalaka bango te.
24 So this is what the Lord says, the Lord Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel: Ha! I will take satisfaction in punishing my enemies, by paying back those who hate me!
Yango wana, Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, Elombe ya Isalaele alobi: Ah, mawa! Nakosepela na pasi na bino, bino bayini na Ngai; mpe nakofutisa bino masumu, bino banguna na Ngai!
25 I will turn against you. I will refine you in a furnace, removing all impurities.
Nakotelemela bino, nakopetola bosoto ya palata na bino mpe nakolongola salite na bino,
26 I will give you good leaders as you used to have before, wise counselors as you had in the beginning. After that you will once again be called the City of Integrity, the Faithful City.
nakokomisa lisusu basambisi na bino malamu lokola na tango ya kala; mpe bapesi toli na bino, ndenge ezalaka na ebandeli. Sima na yango, bakobenga bino lisusu Engumba ya Bosembo, Engumba ya Boyengebene.
27 Zion will be rescued by justice, those who repent by doing right.
Siona ekosikolama na nzela ya boyengebene, mpe bato na yango oyo bakobongola mitema bakobika na nzela ya bosembo.
28 But rebels and sinners will be destroyed together, and those who abandon the Lord will die.
Kasi batomboki mpe bato ya masumu bakobebisama, bato oyo bakobosana Yawe bakosila.
29 You will be ashamed about how you enjoyed your pagan worship among the oak trees; you will be embarrassed because you chose the pleasure gardens of idols.
« Bokoyoka soni mpo na banzete ya terebente oyo bozalaki kolinga mingi; bokoyoka pasi na mitema mpo na bilanga oyo boponaki;
30 As a result you will become like an oak whose leaves have withered, a dried-out garden that has no water.
bokokoma lokola nzete ya terebente oyo ekawuka makasa.
31 Your strong people will become like tinder, and their work will become like a spark. They will burn together, and nobody will be able to put out the flames.
Moto ya makasi akokoma moto ya bolembu, mpe mosala na ye ekokoma lokola mokalikali; bango mibale bakozika nzela moko na moto, mpe moto oyo koboma yango akozala te. »
